Trying to Get Pregnant

IF Testing & Treatment w/o 3.2.20

This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ball game. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

Diagnosis (if you've been):

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA):

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?):

How are things going?:

  • @mvt2003 - I'm so sorry  <3 Take all the time you need

@misshelen86 - I'm in the same boat. My sister told me that they're going to start trying as soon as they buy a house - well they put an offer in for a house yesterday. Obviously I'll be so happy for her, and to get a niece or nephew will be so amazing, but it'll still be hard.
  • Oh @mvt2003 I'm so sorry for your loss. You've been in my thoughts and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed Thursday that you get a good plan together to move forward. <3<3<3
  • @bluetickgal oh my gosh yes! DH and I smooch a bunch as part of our morning routines for work. We picked it up from my grandparents who never left the house before giving the other a kiss goodbye. On the days I get in the shower first and am in the other bathroom closer to our bedroom, DH and I always kiss as he passes by in the hallway.

  • @feather_heather Oh friend, that sounds like such a roller coaster. I can only imagine how you must be feeling. Even with your RE backing it up, I can certainly understand your hesitance and skepticism around the process. Hopefully this is just the situation where you have to put your trust in your RE and his knowledge. Hoping that it all goes smoothly though and you don't end up on endless amounts of estrogen again.

@mvt2003 Oh my friend, my heart is just breaking for you! Be kind to yourself and take your time. Know that we are here for you when you are ready.  Sending you all the love. <3

@misshelen86 June can't come soon enough! Try not to stress about what you have no control over. We are here for support if/when you need it!

@looeeze This was our 4 years. So sorry about the bfn. *Hugs*

@inthewoods23 Haha, honestly not too sure how I got that lucky. He does leave the house later than I do, and gets home a couple hours earlier though. So if he still expected to have dinner served to him as well......I don't think we would have made it to our anniversary lol. He does really enjoy cooking too and is always looking for new recipes as well. It is cute. :)
I think it is adorable that he tries to get you to laugh when you are upset though. That is awesome!

@bluetickgal You got extra in on top of EOD?? High fives girl! FX for this cycle for you.

@kiki047 Yay! I hope that we can be FET buddies! Eeek...so close now. I find out Friday what our exact date will be, but guess is around 11th. And yes, nurse is completely correct, no ovulation required on FET. They put me on a nasal spray which actually prevents that from happening for me. So no need to stress. Did you arrange your progesterone yet?
And just awww to YH! That is so dang sweet.
  • @kiki047 @nitnat007 GL squeaking into the November BMB!!

@kiki047 at least in my case with the lupron, I don't ovulate at all in FET cycles. They actually check to make sure no follicles are growing but that lining and everything is progressing as it should. Don't sweat it! The estradiol and progesterone will simulate a cycle for you

  • @nitnat007 FX for Friday's u/s. And I hear you about the estrogen, I am so all over the place with the moods. When was your anniversary? Ours was on leap day!

@mvt2003 Dang girl. I am so sorry about your loss. Sending warm wishes and please take all the time you need.

@misshelen86 20 min of meditation is long! I hope you find it helping through this waiting time!

@feather_heather you got this! I hope it all goes smoothly!

@looeeze Sorry about the failed IUI. It is so hard. I don't have any advice on moving onto IVF though.

    Back for more tags later!
  • @bluetickgal Hi cycle buddy! That is great that you have a plan for next cycle, but hoping this is the one for both of us! And YH sounds incredibly thoughtful with all the showering of love!

@inthewoods23 FET month is here! Way to be queen of lupron discreteness!

@kiki047 Regardless of due date, you never know when the birth date will be even with lots of planning, so for that reason alone I hope that you can forget all about the possibility of a "shared" birthday and dive head first into this FET with no hesitations!
  • @inthewoods23 awe, that’s great you all make sure you get in morning smooches too! I really feel like my whole day would be off if we didn’t kiss before we left for work!! I don’t want to find out, so we’ll just make sure that keeps happening! Haha. That’s so sweet your grandparents always kissed before leaving each other!
@kiki047 yes, DH and I have basically been on the same page about everything, so luckily TTC plans have not been any different! You’re right though, I think I take that for granted that it isn’t always that way!! Awe, the notes hidden all over your condo is so sweet, and so cool you made a book out of them for him!! Oh my goodness, you are so close!! I’m so hoping this is it for you!! *TW - Ugh, that stinks that this FET would mean your little one may share a birthday with your nephew...but try not to think about that right now. Your kid’s birthday is going to be the most special to you forever, and that’s what matters!! End TW*
@nitnat007 haha, just one!! Thanks, friend!! I’m hoping we can all move on to November!!
@pom9207 thanks lady!! Sorry to hear about the polyps, but that’s good they are getting you in so quickly to get them removed! Hope all goes smoothly with that and that you get amazing PGS results!!
@ramzlau yes, I’m hoping this is the cycle for both of us too!! Fingers crossed so hard!! Thanks, he is very thoughtful! ☺️
  • Diagnosis (if you've been): endometriosis, missing right tube, hypothyroid, ACL antibody positive, RPL

    Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): benched until April

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): tracking my cycle but not much else

How are things going?: Just finished taking the BC pill yesterday. Going to let my body get a cycle in before TTC again. Will be on letrozole to try stimulating my left ovary since my right tube is gone after TW ectopic in November TW. I'm not quite sure what to expect timeline-wise so it helps me to not get obsessive about my calendar and timing.

    Any questions?:

GTKY: What is the sweetest or most endearing thing your SO does? He wraps me up in a snuggle every morning when the alarm goes off ♥️
  • @kiki047 - I go to acupuncture once a week as well! Let me know what your naturopath says, because I've been wondering the same thing!
  • @inthewoods23 MH is taking a daily vitamin, and was taking Coq10 but it made him really dizzy so he stopped. Any specific recs? He's also on fluoxetine, which is what I think is causing a lot of his issues.

@bluetickgal YES to having a short term and a long term plan! Glad you feel good about them, too. That's huge.

@abarr723 my first trigger tested out after 8 days. the second took 10 days. The staying occupied thing is so hard! I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks, it helps a little to distract my brain.

  • @looeeze MH is on bupropion and sertraline which also contribute to the MFI. Check out Fairhaven Health's line of men's fertility products. We used FertilAid and Count Boost, and they also have a Motility Boost product.

  • @keikilove Yasssssssss friend that's SO exciting on all counts!!! For you I would think that there would be more value in doing an ERA than a medicated IUI because as you say, your issue seems to lie with implantation and onwards not with the conception part. Have you had that done in the past to see what's going on with your lining? I can see your logic in wanting to know how you'll respond to meds but in reality you'd probably be using different drugs for stims than you would for just an IUI so they're not really comparable. I assume you'll be doing PGT as well because of your history of losses?

  • @mvt2003 Sending you so much love & support as you go through this.♥️ I hope that tomorrow’s appointment gives you some hope & a plan to move forward.

@ramzlau That is too sweet of YH to be planning ahead for the holidays like that! Hope you’re doing ok during the rest of your TWW.

@nitnat007 Sorry for the side effects but FX for a great U/S on Friday! YH sounds like a real keeper too😊

@feather_heather I’m so sorry you’re feeling uncertain about your RE’s plan. That is so hard! (I’d also feel
uncomfortable moving forward based on the last lining issue.) I hope you’re able to come to peace with whatever you decide to do!

@misshelen86 Hope YH is on the mend sooner rather than later, and that this waiting period goes quickly for you!

    Back for more tags shortly..
  • @emeraldduchess I think we were posting at the same time earlier. I am SO sorry for the crappy turn of events lately!! Sorry that YH is being less than helpful right now too. Your feelings are valid; he should have done that IVF reading after all the discussion you guys have been having. Shoot, I’m just sorry for how you’re feeling right now. I hope it gets better very soon. (((((Hugs!)))))

@looeeze Sorry about the bfn. Re: your question about IUI vs IVF: as others have said, IVF can take quite some time from start to finish so you may want to consider IUIs as you wait for the IVF ball to get rolling.

@inthewoods23 Wow! Your FET month is already here?! Exciting! (Insert twiddly fingers 😊)

@bluetickgal Dang, girl, your affection game makes me feel like I need to step up ASAP! You guys sound too cute. I’m more hands-off but I’d bet MH would like it if I did more little kisses & signs of affection like you & YH.

@kiki047 YAAAAYYY!!! For FET in a couple weeks! Soooo exciting! Crossing everything for you even in these weeks leading up to it, haha. And YH leaving the notes while you were away? Stop it! That is unbelievably sweet💗

@pom9207 Ugh, so sorry about the polyps! I hope your doctor is able to easily remove them so you can heal and keep things moving forward. I suspect you won’t be able to do them in the same cycle though.☹️FX for wonderful test results!🤞🏽

@abarr723 FX for you too during this tough TWW! As far as trigger testing out of your system, mine was usually gone by the night of 8DPO/morning of 9DPO. And YH sounds too cute right now.

@mama_mea So sorry you’ve had to rejoin our group. And I’m sorry for your traumatic loss. I hope things start moving along smoothly & nicely once you’re ready to TTC again.♥️
  • @abarr723 I hope this TWW flies by for you...it’s hard not to over-analyze every little thing! Hope you can keep yourself occupied until your beta!! That’s very sweet about YH!
@mama_mea welcome back...so sorry for your loss! 💜
@kiki047 oh, thanks for letting me know...now I’m going try even harder to make sure that never happens! Sorry you are dealing with a cold sore, and the cheek hair...hormones can be a real pain!! With the FET getting moved back a bit, hopefully that makes it less likely that yours would share a birthday with your nephew...trying to look at the silver lining for you!
@keikilove yay for being off the bench...and that’s awesome news about being approved for IVF!!! So happy for you! Also, yay for not needing additional surgery!! Seems like things are looking up, and you definitely deserve that!
@emeraldduchess I’m so sorry, friend...sending you hugs!! 💜 I hope YH comes around again and doesn’t make you wait longer...better yet, I hope that TI was enough!!

@keikilove we are good at posting at the same time today!! It’s funny because I wasn’t an overly affectionate person until I met DH, but I love it now!! I love that you said YH has the bed turned down like a hotel, now that’s service!! ☺️ He sounds so sweet & thoughtful too!

    *Edited because words are hard.*
  • @manillabar thanks! I hope the meds help to lower your TSH so you can move forward with treatment next cycle! And I hope you get good results from the carrier screening!
@keikilove awe, that sounds great! I’m sure he already feels so loved/appreciated, but yay for extra kisses!! 🥰
