This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility, and it becomes a whole new ball game. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this as an ongoing conversation.

Re: IF Testing & Treatment w/o 3.2.20
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IUI #3
How are things going?: 3 days into the TWW and the mind games have already begun. I am hoping work and life is a good distraction this week.
Any questions?: NATM
GTKY: What is the sweetest or most endearing thing your SO does? This weekend he offered to fly my entire family (5 siblings with spouses and kids, and my mom and step dad) out for Christmas in case we either have a very young LO or I am very pregnant. He has been researching it all and has a game plan for where everyone can stay. He knows holidays are big for our family and didn’t want us to miss it this year. 💕
Diagnosis (if you've been): AMA, MFI (low morph, acrosome defect)
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): FET prep
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): FET, u/s on Friday
How are things going?: We are doing alright. Definitely getting some side effects from the estrogen though. There have been some tearful moments. And poor DH almost had his head taken off over the weekend lol.
We went out for a lovely dinner on Saturday to celebrate our anniversary and then had a really quiet day at home yesterday. Good to have him home for a bit now.
Any questions?:
GTKY: What is the sweetest or most endearing thing your SO does? He cooks dinner every night. Spoils me and even brings me my food so that I don't have to get off the sofa. He is a keeper!
@nitnat007 - Sorry you're feeling the side effects of the estrogen! Glad you were able to enjoy your anniversary!
Diagnosis (if you've been): Endometriosis, Borderline PCOS, Unexplained IF
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): On BC till Wednesday then beginning FET cycle
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IVF - FET
How are things going?: My doctor called Friday afternoon and told me that he wants to do the same exact protocol for this FET that we just did for the biopsy (you know the protocol where my lining was only at a 4.5 after 40+ days of estrogen). I broke down the phone and could not stop crying - because it just doesn't make sense to me and because 40+ days of estrogen makes you feel like a crazy person. He said that my biopsy results stated that I was "in phase" which apparently means that even though my lining is not at the thickness they like to see, that science is telling them that the lining is receptive and good conditions for implantation. He did say that I would only be on the estrogen for about 14 days and then they'd do the transfer no matter what the lining is at (because apparently the results of the biopsy overrule the lining thickness). He did give me a few other options including, taking a cycle off [for my mentally stability], doing a modified natural cycle with Letrozole and trigger shot (with no estrogen and just crinone gel), or trying estrogen patches - but if my lining doesn't respond on these the cycle could get cancelled (because the biopsy results are specific to the protocol you used during the biopsy cycle). But he recommended doing the same protocol as before, and after crying for a few hours and talking about with DH, we're going to try it out this cycle and see what happens. I told my acupuncturist that we need to focus on increasing blood flow to my uterus more than anything else these next few weeks and I'm planning on drinking so much pomegranate juice! Taking any other recommendations of tricks and old wives tales to thicken my lining!
Any questions?: Nope
GTKY: What is the sweetest or most endearing thing your SO does? DH has a very kind soul and he is just so patient with me thru this whole process. I tearfully asked him during my breakdown on Friday if he would ever leave me because I can't give him children, and he said that he knows we'll have kids one day whether or not they are biologically ours it doesn't matter. He also said that if for some crazy reason we don't then, we can be the fun aunt and uncle who constantly take future nieces and nephews on fun trips!
@nitnat007 Sorry about the side effects. Things are getting real now! Hope you had a happy anniversary dinner!
@feather_heather I’m glad that your RE was able to give you some other options and also explain his rationale for doing it this way. I hope things go better this time!
Diagnosis (if you’ve been): MFI
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO but will probably be out this month.. in FW now and DH is still too uncomfortable to HIO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) Ugh waiting as usual
How are things going? Not great.. I think I’m struggling with knowing that my SIL is going to be TTC soon and figuring out how I will cope with it if she gets KU in the next few months. We are really close and see each other all the time. I’m getting back into meditating 20 mins/day on my counselor’s recommendation. I am really looking forward to spring and nicer weather.. I always feel a bit better when I spend time outside.
Any questions: No
GTKY: My DH helps me get my meals ready for work. It’s so nice when I come home after a long day and he packs my lunch for me so I don’t have to think about it! It really is the little things

Thank you all for supporting me and checking in on me. I wish this had a better ending. I feel so much sadness, and bitterness that I got this freaking far, only to have the rug pulled out from under me. I'm going to be a bit scarce for a few days I think, but am meeting with my RE on Thursday for my WTF appointment. Hopefully having a plan to move forward will help me.

@misshelen86 - I'm in the same boat. My sister told me that they're going to start trying as soon as they buy a house - well they put an offer in for a house yesterday. Obviously I'll be so happy for her, and to get a niece or nephew will be so amazing, but it'll still be hard.
@nitnat007 Happy anniversary! How long have you been together?
@feather_heather Sounds like your dr has some sound science behind his recommendation. Increasing lining: drink a ton of water, and vitamin E.
@misshelen86 Yeah, that's a hard spot to be in. But wise of you to be planning and thinking ahead of time.
@mvt2003 I'm so sorry. Take all the time to grieve and be

Diagnosis (if you've been): low ovarian reserve, low motility and morph
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WFAF
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Finishing a cycle of failed medicated IUI #2
How are things going?: It's 13dpiui and BFN this morning. My beta is supposed to be today but I think I'm going to skip it and stop the progesterone and WFAF. Feeling pretty bummed out; MH and I both had really good numbers going into this.
Any questions?: I'm thinking about just going straight to IVF instead of doing one more IUI round. Any advice or things I should be considering?
GTKY: What is the sweetest or most endearing thing your SO does? OH man, MH is the most caring person. He leaves me little love notes all over all the time. And on a day to day basis, he does most of the cleaning and a good portion of the cooking (which is great since my love language is acts of service). One very sweet thing he did when we were starting to TTC was read TCOYF without me prompting him to. I'm really lucky to have him.
@nitnat007 man please have YH teach my DH his ways! I wish DH would cook more. I suppose it's actually pretty even with how often each other are cooking, but there are times I have a million things to do while he sits on the couch watching TV and not being helpful while I'm sending the time to cook a meal. Hope everything looks good at your upcoming U/S.
@feather_heather you've had good lining response in the past right? FX the lining cooperates this time. I hate when it matters most is when shit hits the fan. My estrogen was really high before starting the biopsy cycle and it was so stressful and I completely understand your feelings of being told to do the same thing.
@misshelen86 I have that slight worry now too with my sister as *TW* niece is almost 1 *end TW*. But over the weekend we had talked about going on an Alaska cruise again and my dad said it all depends on baby plans so maybe my sister and BIL will wait another year? Who knows 🤷♀️ I'm just hoping to have 1 before they have 2.
@mvt2003 so sorry for your loss ❤️❤️ take all the time you need!
@looeeze is YH on any vitamins/supplements? DH got significantly better numbers and motility progression after the sperm wash for our 3rd IUI so it may be worth trying 1 more time before IVF.
Diagnosis (if you've been): unexplained
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): FET at the end of the month!
How are things going?: Not bad, I'm the queen of discrete when it comes to taking lupron lol.
Any questions?: Nope
GTKY: What is the sweetest or most endearing thing your SO does?
He's thoughtful in ways I don't always realize (oops). But I do love that with certain meals when he's the cook he does a really nice presentation on the plate. Also the fact that he tries SO HARD to make me laugh when I'm sad or upset. He gets so much joy out of getting me to even crack a smile while in tears.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Letrozole (5mg), TI, & Progesterone after O.
How are things going?: Going well! We had a really good weekend at home, which was much needed!! Just entered the TWW, so I’m hopeful but not getting overly crazy yet! Haha. We broke the EOD commitment and got in one extra time after +OPK...figured it would be too late to wait until the next day so why not?! We talked again this weekend about what our plan is going forward (IUI’s starting next cycle), so I feel good about that! We are both planners, so it’s good for us to have a short-term & long-term plan and to both feel good about it!
Any questions?: None right now.
GTKY: What is the sweetest or most endearing thing your SO does? He doesn’t let a day (or even 1/2 a day) go by without telling me and showing me how much he loves me!! Whether it’s in our goodbye kisses in the mornings before work, our goodnight kisses before going to sleep at night, or the random texts he sends throughout the day just because he was thinking about me!! I feel so incredibly loved and lucky to be with him every single day!! He is also such a helpmate at home...we have things that we each do (I do more of the cooking & he does more of the outside work), but we pretty well work together on the rest in true partnership fashion!

@nitnat007 wooo sounds like things are rolling along! I'll be right behind you this cycle, we'll almost be FET buddies! Happy anniversary, sounds like you had a nice low-key celebration, and yay for YH being home!
@feather_heather it is so stressful to just put your blind faith in your RE and hope they know what they're doing. If the test shows that your lining is receptive, despite it being a little thinner than they'd like to see, FX that's all you need! Am rooting so hard for you! How often do you go to acupuncture? I'm going once a week but I just sent an email to my naturopath asking if I should be squeezing in a few more appts leading up to/following my FET.
@misshelen86 oh your poor DH, I can imagine that's a super uncomfortable and sensitive area, especially after surgery. Hopefully everything went well and you'll be all ready to go soon!! Is he on any supplements too?
@mvt2003 sending you all the love this week my friend.
@looeeze So sorry for the BFN today. No real advice on whether you should or shouldn't move on to IVF, but I will say one thing - the process usually takes longer than you think and sometimes that waiting in-between is hard. and I echo what ITW said about supplements - it takes about 3 months for new turnover in sperm production so if you can squeeze a few extra things in YH before then it might be worth a shot. We did it, and his #s got slightly better each time as well, and we had a 100% fertilization rate for IVF (granted we only had 4 eggs) which was big for us with a MFI issue. // YH sounds like mine, with his little notes and helping around the house. Acts of service is also my love language so that's a big one for me.
@inthewoods23 YH does sound like he's a big jokester! I always like it when you share some of his wisecracks. You must be a pro by now with your injections. Not much longer now, yay!
@bluetickgal aww I love all the DH love today, it's giving me the warm fuzzies. FX your timing was spot-on this month!! But glad you're both on the same page and feeling good about next steps. That's so important and I used to take it for granted that MH was like that with me, before I realized how rare that can be.
Diagnosis (if you've been): PCOS, some MFI
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WFFET!!
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Had my baseline scan on Saturday, FET is tentatively scheduled for March 14th. Eek!
How are things going?: Well I wasn't expecting AF until this coming Friday so she showed up a full week early leading me to conclude that I have not ovulated since my ER back in early December. I started my estradiol on Saturday, which also made the bleeding stop in its tracks so I only really had a bit of bleeding for like 36 hours and maybe another 6 hours of spotting. Of course I'm freaking out, but the nurse at the clinic continues to reassure me that it doesn't matter because I don't actually need to ovulate to do the FET, and that they're going to control everything with the estradiol and progesterone.
Any questions?: I'll be asking for alll the FET suggestions next week when we get a little closer.
GTKY: What is the sweetest or most endearing thing your SO does? I don't know what I ever did to deserve him but MH is sappy and mushy and thoughtful. He's always trying to think of little ways to show his love. Once when I went on a trip he left over 50 post-its around the condo hidden away every time he thought of me while I was gone. I was still finding them months later because he hid them behind photos and in books, etc. When we got married I took all of his notes and made a book for him and gave it back to him. He also steals kisses whenever he can. I'm not a super touchy-feely person and I have a huge personal bubble when it comes to most people but he is my one exception and we're super affectionate with each other.

@misshelen86 June can't come soon enough! Try not to stress about what you have no control over. We are here for support if/when you need it!
@looeeze This was our 4 years. So sorry about the bfn. *Hugs*
@inthewoods23 Haha, honestly not too sure how I got that lucky. He does leave the house later than I do, and gets home a couple hours earlier though. So if he still expected to have dinner served to him as well......I don't think we would have made it to our anniversary lol. He does really enjoy cooking too and is always looking for new recipes as well. It is cute.
I think it is adorable that he tries to get you to laugh when you are upset though. That is awesome!
@bluetickgal You got extra in on top of EOD?? High fives girl! FX for this cycle for you.
@kiki047 Yay! I hope that we can be FET buddies! Eeek...so close now. I find out Friday what our exact date will be, but guess is around 11th. And yes, nurse is completely correct, no ovulation required on FET. They put me on a nasal spray which actually prevents that from happening for me. So no need to stress. Did you arrange your progesterone yet?
And just awww to YH! That is so dang sweet.
@kiki047 at least in my case with the lupron, I don't ovulate at all in FET cycles. They actually check to make sure no follicles are growing but that lining and everything is progressing as it should. Don't sweat it! The estradiol and progesterone will simulate a cycle for you

@mvt2003 Dang girl. I am so sorry about your loss. Sending warm wishes and please take all the time you need.
@misshelen86 20 min of meditation is long! I hope you find it helping through this waiting time!
@feather_heather you got this! I hope it all goes smoothly!
@looeeze Sorry about the failed IUI. It is so hard. I don't have any advice on moving onto IVF though.
Back for more tags later!
@inthewoods23 I'd be thrilled to join any BMB at this rate. So the real question will be, who's coming with me??!!
On another note, **TW** it just occurred to me that our nephew was likely conceived on/around MH's birthday in 2018, when we were on vacation in Phoenix also desperately TTGP... that's almost 2 years ago to the day. This is so selfish and I feel like a bad person for even saying it but part of me is bummed that if the FET does work, our EDD would be right on/around his birthday Nov 27th and I don't want our future kid to have to "share" a birthday because as some of you may remember, my BIL and SIL are egotistical monsters who will 10000% monopolize that time for their kid.
Edited for clarity

@nitnat007 sorry about the side effect of estrogen. It's so sweet that your husband cooks dinner every night!
@feather_heather I am sorry about the lining not thickened, but I hope your RE is right and your lining actually would be receptive on the same protocol. Fx so hard for you!
@misshelen86 I hope your DH recovers soon! I feel you, ever since IF I have the fear of learning other close friends/family's TTC... Sending you hugs!
@mvt2003 I am so very sorry for your loss. Hope your follow up appointment goes well with the RE.
@looeeze sorry for the bfn. Me and MH went on IVF after 2 failed IUI cycles (in addition to 2 cancelled IUI); I think one big difference between IVF and IUI is that I was being monitored more closely, so I had to got up for early morning monitoring more often than I thought.
@inthewoods23 kudos to queen of discrete haha. ahh FET is just around the corner! Sending you good vibes!
@bluetickgal glad you are feeling good about having plans to go forward. And I hope you won't need the IUI!
@kiki047 ahh I am so excited for you! March 14 is so close -- sending you good vibes!
Diagnosis (if you've been): unexplained; multiple uterine polyps
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WFFET
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): IVF-FET -- waiting for PGS results; hysteroscopy next Tuesday to remove polyps
How are things going?: I should be hearing back from the RE for my PGS results by next Friday. Today during the pre transfer saline sonogram the doctor found that I have many polyps growing in my uterus
Any questions?: Is it common to perform FET in the same cycle as hysteroscopy?
GTKY: What is the sweetest or most endearing thing your SO does? DH hosted a surprise 3 year anniversary party on a sailing boat last year which now I wish he had saved that money for our IF treatment....

@inthewoods23 FET month is here! Way to be queen of lupron discreteness!
@kiki047 Regardless of due date, you never know when the birth date will be even with lots of planning, so for that reason alone I hope that you can forget all about the possibility of a "shared" birthday and dive head first into this FET with no hesitations!
@pom9207 thanks lady!! Sorry to hear about the polyps, but that’s good they are getting you in so quickly to get them removed! Hope all goes smoothly with that and that you get amazing PGS results!!
@ramzlau yes, I’m hoping this is the cycle for both of us too!! Fingers crossed so hard!! Thanks, he is very thoughtful! ☺️
@nitnat007 im sorry youre having terrible mood swings. and points to YH for dealing with it! hes a smart man to feed you and keep you happy!
@feather_heather Im sorry that your RE didnt tell you what you wanted to hear, but i agree that sticking with the same protocol is probably best, and since he is confident the lining is all good and would be receptive, then i say definitely go for it! and YH was so sweet to say those things, its nice to have some words of encouragement.
@mvt2003 i know that there is nothing that i can say that will make the situation better, but i am so incredibly sad for you. I hope your next meeting with the RE gives some enlightenment as to how to move forward and developing a plan. Ive been thinking of you, and hope you are able to find peace in this sucky situation.
@looeeze Im sorry that this round didnt work out for you, i hope you can try to stay positive moving forward!
@inthewoods23 hooray for FET! that is soo exciting!
@bluetickgal so glad you and YH were able to have a nice weekend at home! sometimes its the little things like that that make your time together more special.
@pom9207 ugh Im sorry about the polyps girl, the found a couple during my sonohyst as well, and the doctor said i would most definitely need them to be removed if we were to need to move on to IVF, Im just curious if they would cause an issue with a pregnancy if i were to become KU.
Diagnosis (if you've been): PCOSish
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW 5dpiui
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Beta 3/11
How are things going?: UGHHH! this two week wait is PAINFUL. Its so different than any other TWW when we were just trying on our own and it was all basically a guessing game. anytime i feel a little cramp, or twinge in my pelvis I'm like "oh, that must be it!" or I go the total opposite direction and I'm like, "no, there's something wrong!" I am going to drive myself crazy I think. DH is adorable though, the other morning he came home from work after being on a 16hr double, I was still in bed, and he rubbed my belly and goes "do you feel pregnant yet". lol it makes me so happy to see him so excited.
Any questions?: ummm how long does it take to test out the trigger?! also, how the heck does everyone keep busy during this wait?!
GTKY: What is the sweetest or most endearing thing your SO does?
DH is the best if I have had a bad day, he'll always bring me home something such as my favorite candy or a little gift to cheer me up. even if it's something silly he picked up at the drugstore on his way home from work. He is always trying to make sure I am happy and smiling.
Dx: 1/2020 Borderline PCOS
Rx: Femara &Trigger with IUI
IUI#1 2/26/2020- BETA 3/11 (AF arrived 3/11)
3/20/2020- Benched due to COVID-19
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): benched until April
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): tracking my cycle but not much else
How are things going?: Just finished taking the BC pill yesterday. Going to let my body get a cycle in before TTC again. Will be on letrozole to try stimulating my left ovary since my right tube is gone after TW ectopic in November TW. I'm not quite sure what to expect timeline-wise so it helps me to not get obsessive about my calendar and timing.
Any questions?:
GTKY: What is the sweetest or most endearing thing your SO does? He wraps me up in a snuggle every morning when the alarm goes off ♥️
@pom9207 I don't think the FET could be in the same cycle as your hysteroscopy, nor would you want it to be. That's still trauma to your uterus to remove the polyps so you'll want to give it a chance to heal before you transfer one of your precious embryos. Plus, depending on what your protocol is I doubt they'd want you to be stimulating lining development when they still need to remove the polyps.
@abarr723 *TW* You'll most likely want to have them removed sooner than later. They have been known to interfere with fertility. My mom had polyps when she was PG with my brother. Everything ended up ok, but she was very closely monitored throughout because of increased chances of MC and bleeding. They're usually benign but since some of them can be cancerous or pre-cancerous they like to keep a closer eye on them during pregnancy for that reason.
@bluetickgal thank you friend! Eavesdropping on your convo with ITW, I can vouch that the days I left the house without my goodbye kiss were awful (usually because we had a little spat over something silly, or one of us was frantic and late for something and rushed out without our usual routine). Threw everything off for the whole day.
@feather_heather I talked to her yesterday and she recommended I come in 1-2 days before FET and then right after the FET at minimum. Otherwise she said weekly is still ok. I see her again on Saturday so will ask her more questions lol.
AFM, my FET was moved back a couple days so now looking at around the 16th/17th. Have given myself another coldsore, I think it's because my hormones are all out of whack. I found a clump of hair growing out of my cheek today, as if my chin hairs weren't enough. Thaaaanks hormones and PCOS (hirsutism is a known symptom of PCOS).

@kiki047 is it weird to check potential due dates for internet strangers? Cuz now we can be December hype buddies 😅
@pom9207 FX for good PGS results!
@abarr723 it's too easy to notice every little twinge when you know very specifically when you O'ed due to the trigger (or in my case with transfers). Every damn twinge is implantation when we damn well know it's probably a silly muscle spasm 😆

Diagnosis (if you've been): RPL, Elevated Natural Killer Cell count & activity, blood-clotting disorders, AMA, DOR
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): Off the bench! So now WFAF/getting back on the wagon after two months benched.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): I can’t believe it, but WE JUST GOT APPROVED FOR IVF!!!! There’s a chance we are doing egg retrieval at the end of this month! AND my RE finally got back to me w the news that my uterus shape isn’t deviated enough to warrant further surgery. So HOORAY!
How are things going?: Honestly, my head is spinning a bit. After our first insurance denied us IVF last summer (*TW: “Because patient is able to conceive without assistance” *End TW*) I have been doubtful that the new insurance would have a different outcome. Soooo excited! But so many thoughts...
Any questions?: I’m concerned about going into IVF without ever having even done any medicated TI or medicated IUI. Everything we’ve done was natural so far except a trigger shot here & there. My insurance only covers one lifetime attempt at IVF so I want to make sure I’ve got all the info we could possibly need. Do you all have any advice about trying medicated IUI first, just to see how my body responds to being stimulated? I have time because I need to focus on getting inflammation down in my uterus before we would move to an egg transfer anyway. No point in doing IVF if I’m going to continue to have implantation failure & chemicals.
GTKY: What is the sweetest or most endearing thing your SO does? He is very caring and thoughtful. His love language is Acts of Service so he is constantly asking if I need a pillow for my neck on the couch, rubs my feet while we watch tv, makes me move to the bedroom when I’m falling asleep—where he has the bed turned down as if it’s a hotel. He is a keeper, for sure!

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): No idea what is next. IUI was cancelled because I went and O'ed without the trigger shot and it was too late to schedule. We just relied on TI which was lousy timing. I have an appointment with my RE on Thursday because the insurance company only approves cycle by cycle. DH is waffling again on moving to IVF, which is probably the only option left. I will spare the details but it was quite a fight. He clearly didn't do ANY of the research I asked him to do. His indecisiveness is why we waiting 5 years longer to TTC than I wanted to. Now he's making me wait again.
How are things going?: See above.
Any questions?: Nah.
GTKY: Probably not in the best place to answer this one this week because of his recent laziness/stupidity/general dickheadedness. If that word isn't in the dictionary, it should be.
@nitnat007 Sorry for the side effects but FX for a great U/S on Friday! YH sounds like a real keeper too😊
@feather_heather I’m so sorry you’re feeling uncertain about your RE’s plan. That is so hard! (I’d also feel
uncomfortable moving forward based on the last lining issue.) I hope you’re able to come to peace with whatever you decide to do!
@misshelen86 Hope YH is on the mend sooner rather than later, and that this waiting period goes quickly for you!
@bluetickgal Dang, girl, your affection game makes me feel like I need to step up ASAP! You guys sound too cute. I’m more hands-off but I’d bet MH would like it if I did more little kisses & signs of affection like you & YH.
@pom9207 Ugh, so sorry about the polyps! I hope your doctor is able to easily remove them so you can heal and keep things moving forward. I suspect you won’t be able to do them in the same cycle though.☹️FX for wonderful test results!🤞🏽
@nitnat007 happy anniversary! Glad you and your H had time to enjoy it together
@feather_heather hoping for the best for you with this upcoming cycle. I hate all the uncertainty, like at any given point in time anything could screw up the entire process. Sounds like your RE feels pretty confident, which I think is a good sign.
@misshelen86 I totally know how you feel about your SIL *TW* (in spoiler)
@mvt2003 sending you lots of love
@looeeze so sorry for the BFN. Your H definitely sounds like a keeper, my husband didn't even want to watch the videos my RE office sent us about the whole process, let alone read TCOYF lol
@intothewoods23 hooray the end of the month will be here before you know it
@bluetickgal FX for good timing!
@kiki047 my H is on sertraline, too, but the RE didn't really give us a straight answer of whether or not it would affect his sperm. His counts were apparently ok but morphology was really low... now I'm wondering if that's why
@pom9207 I'm not sure about FET in the same cycle as hysteroscopy, but hoping that the polyps were your only barrier and that it'll be smooth sailing from then on
@abarr723 I think it depends on the dose of medication in your trigger. I'm assuming you're testing daily? the TWW is seriously the worst. Hopefully you can keep yourself occupied until beta day!
@mama_mea I hope your body gets back in the swing of things quickly
@keikilove so much good news! It sounds like it wouldn't hurt to do a medicated IUI cycle, especially if your insurance will literally only cover one IVF cycle. The only thing is the medications/doses won't be the same, so I'm not sure how much they will be able to predict from the IUI. I'm glad that you're finally moving forward!
@emeraldduchess so sorry you and your H are fighting over how to proceed. My H and I have had a few of those arguments in the past and it's so frustrating because of the time that passes in between. When we were arguing about when to TTC, with each month that passed I would think, "there goes another egg from my dwindling supply..." sometimes I wish we could just decide for them! lol
Diagnosis (if you've been): I guess at this point it would be unexplained? my H has low morphology but RE doesn't think it will affect chances with IUI. and my TSH is "high" but not terribly high
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW (though we kinda phoned in this cycle)
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Taking synthroid every morning and trying to will my thyroid into submission so we can start treatment next month.
How are things going?: The last results we're waiting to get back are our expanded carrier screens, but we have to do a video consult with one of the genetic counselors from the testing company before they'll release the results, so that's thursday afternoon.
Any questions?: none right now
GTKY: What is the sweetest or most endearing thing your SO does? He never buys anything for himself without getting me something. Which I know doesn't sound like much but like tonight he ran to CVS and came home with lotion for me because he noticed I was running low (without me asking). So he'll always find something I can use, or want, or even something silly like a stuffed animal or snacks (always appreciated haha). I guess gifts are my love language, lol

@keikilove Personally, I would absolutely do a medicated cycle first. I was a poor responder, so had I not had a failed IUI with Clomid and then Follistim, my RE may not have given me the dosage of meds I needed for IVF. Even then, I only had three mature follicles. Do whatever you're comfortable with, of course, but if you're not in a huge rush, you may want to see how you respond to meds. Also - I'm so happy that your insurance is going to cover a round of IVF for you! ❤❤
@kiki047 I missed your message earlier, thank you for giving your thoughts too! I will definitely ask to do an ERA. My RE had mentioned doing it a long time ago, but when the old insurance denied IVF we took ERA off the table. And yes, at this point I will definitely be testing any embryos we get! At first I thought we might skip it due to additional cost, but after all these tough months there’s no way I’m not testing—I want to cover every single base possible. Honestly, if it turns out my eggs are actually old and too fragile then that will bring me closure to this treacherous adventure and be the end of this part of the journey for us. I’d happily foster to adopt if my eggs are no good, but I’ve had a very hard time believing so far that the issue is my eggs.
I'll be back for tags soon
Diagnosis (if you've been): Secondary Unexplained IF
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): FINALLY officially in the WTO - AF arrived on Monday when I should have been starting my 2nd cycle after the failed IUI... instead I'm finally starting my first cycle after that last IUI!
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Officially NTNP - we'll probably do this for the next 2 cycles.
How are things going?: Pretty good. It was frustrating for a while, but AF finally arrived and it's a breath of fresh air. As always it only lasted for a day and a half, which I still say is not normal but my RE has never been concerned about it... oh well. We had a great time in Amelia Island, FL this past weekend. It was just us and our 2 friends - so many drinks and so much good food.... but now it's time to get my body back in shape haha I'm actually really looking forward to not stressing about timing and trying and planning.
Any questions?: Nope
GTKY: What is the sweetest or most endearing thing your SO does? Everything this man of mine does, and every decision he makes, is always with us being his first thought. It makes me melt to hear him always talk about our future and what he wants our future to hold for us. He spoils me!
