@lachnessmomster My husband did a mad run to the store to stock on cans and non perishables this week. I don't think he's super scared of coronavirus though, I think it's more like he's feeling helpless since we're waiting to see what the gastro has to say about my elevated liver enzymes. I just sort of let it happen when he said he was going to do it, felt like a good outlet for his worry. He is typically pretty level headed when it comes to stuff like this.
I'm trying to remain calm, but when I hear of stores being out of sanitizer and Clorox wipes it makes me want to stock up as well. Even though the rational side of me reads articles and the news and knows that over stocking can cause more problems for the global economy, the anxious side of me is panicking that I'm going to need something and be unable to get it. Tomorrow is shopping day and the start of a new grocery budget, so maybe I'll grab a couple more cases of ginger ale and cans of soup. You know, things I'd be buying anyways.
In non coronavirus news, yesterday was the first day since before Christmas that I was able to drink coffee. I think my aversion is finally ending!
I hope people don't panic about coronavirus. 9 people died from the flu, in Georgia alone, this month bringing the total to almost 70 for the season. I'm hoping that people being more cautious regarding coronavirus will cut back on cases of the flu as well. I'm not saying it wouldn't be terrible if we had a pandemic but we have a flu pandemic at least twice a decade and people don't panic. It's scarier when people act irrationally.
@gomillis I plan to grocery shop this weekend as well and stock up on few extra soups and soap as well. People in Georgia tend to over react to things but I understand trying to get what you need before everyone loses their mind.
@wednesdaygirl1019 I'm finally able to drink coffee again as well. Its wonderful! Also, that study sounds interesting. I was curious as to who was most affected.
I'm not worried about the coronavirus. When I was pregnant with my son Ebola was here in Tx.
Moms in my bmg where losing their minds and they didnt live anywhere near Tx.

I saw a guy today wearing a mask, but it was one of those masks you see lawn crews wearing to filter exhaust fumes, NOT a medical mask. He was leaving an alternative medicine center, not doing yard work 😂
I feel bad about the short supply of masks. I work at a large hospital and there are lots of outpatients coming and going for treatments who are on chemo and/or have serious immunodeficiencies who actually need masks to protect themselves and now they are going to have trouble finding them. 😕
Ugh, all this sickness going around is so unnerving. My husband's dad is in nursing home and he took our son with him this morning to go visit and said that there are a few cases of the flu there. He didn't stay long, thankfully. Hopefully both of them avoided any bad germs and also that my father in law stays healthy. I don't think my son or I will be visiting until things clear up.
In other news, it's a lovely sunny day here and it's warming up a bit after a few snowy days. Lots of Sunday prep for the upcoming week going on at our house. Did anyone do anything fun this weekend?
@riatortillaxo FIL is home now already from his heart surgery, so it was good to go visit yesterday but it made for a pretty late night, and then up early to get the Mass, and on our way now to visit MIL. Lots of driving around! But so grateful to have had the whole Saturday home with DD 💖
ETA don't feel bad for taking a break from visiting. They have a flue ban around here and won't let kids under 12 come into the hospital, either.

Aww, Happy Birthday! @psychobutthead I have to believe it gets better (((hugs))) in all honesty my 30s have been so much better than my 20s in a lot of ways... ❤️
I have not been able to access this app all weekend. When I open the app I had a message to ask me how I was liking the app. I typically don’t answer them, but I did this time. I know it’s a waste of time because I know plenty of other women had to complain about this shitty app before. But we will see. I’m sure they make plenty of money to make major improvements to this app.

@psychobutthead Happy belated!!! Glad your SIL stayed away! I also agree with @BusinessWife that my 30s have been better than I ever imagined. Enjoy the last of your 20s, good things are to come.
Like @blackgirlmagic I haven't been able to get in all weekend, so ridiculous! I actually reached out to TB too about the app!!! How many of us need to complain before they do something?!
