How’d you find out? I took a test on December 23rd and thought it was negative but forgot to toss it. Saw it in the bathroom the best day and it had a faint second line. After 7 more tests through December 26th I finally believed it!
Other children/pets? 2 dogs!
Job? Office manager and caregiver
Things you like to do? Yoga, be outside, be with family, watch shows
Spouse/partner? My husband Darren. He's so excited. We didn't think it was going to be possible to conceive so the test in itself was a gift. Now we are 11 weeks and staying full of hope.
First appointment? Had my first at 8 weeks and my 12 week appt is this upcoming week.
Any symptoms? Pretty severe nausea and vomiting and exhaustion. Now it's coming in spurts. Today was so bad this am and now I feel great.
Yay! We had our 1st ultrasound yesterday on Valentine's day, so sweet. 7w5d and a singleton this time. Strong heart beat. We have two 2 y/o boys and will be welcoming a baby girl 9/27. Nausea is annoying and I'm super tired, but happy!
Due date? September 14, 2020 based on date of conception.
How did you find out? Breasts felt larger and weirdly soft, lots of fatigue. Took a pregnancy test a few days later and very solid plus sign.
Job? Full time student, part time barista.
Hobbies? Reading, Napping, Longboarding, Rollerblading, Binging shows, Online shopping, etc.
Other children/pregnancies? Nope!
Pets? 9yo. big ass Black Lab mix; very much the grumpy but sweet grandpa mentality.
First Appointment? This past Friday actually! Unless you count my 2 ER visits so far...🙃
Symptoms? Mild nausea (only puked once so far!!), bloating, tired as HECK all the time, hungry hungry hippo vibes, and then a super fun case of subchorionic hemorrhaging/hematoma (mini dude B's forming placenta is being finicky about sticking to the uterine wall).
Anything else interesting? I'm super into music, specifically 70's to present rock/metal/punk/hardcore. Seen over 100+ bands! Currently majoring in Nuclear Engineering! Fun fact: Nuclear power produces almost NO greenhouse gas emissions! Much more "tom boy" than "girly girl" think Avril Lavigne wannabe so both kiddos are gonna be clad up in dino onesies regardless of gender b/c dinosaurs are cool! Oh yeah, surprise! They're TWINS!!!
Hey everyone. My name is Amber, I’m 8w exactly today. This is my first pregnancy after years of thinking I would never find mr. right and have a family. Well SURPRISE! We go for our first ultrasound tomorrow so I’m definitely nervous. My due date is September 27 based on my LMP.
Hey @shredgnarr, I was wondering when we'd have another MoM (mother of multiples) on here! @NYTino24 is expecting triplets! (am I missing anybody else?)
Due date? It was 9/8/20 based on LMP. I just got moved to 9/16/20 after my first U/S.
How did you find out? Period wonkiness: I had my usual crankiness and breast soreness, but when I expected my period, I only got spotting (Mon 1/6/20). When the spotting lasted more than 12 hours without transition to full blown period, I was suspicious. Told DH on Wed 1/8 when still no period. My tracking app said I wasn't due until the following Monday 1/13, so held off on the test. Saturday night I said "this is ridiculous, I know I'm pregnant" and took the test. The line showed up in two seconds!
Job? I test mobile apps.
Hobbies? Knitting & crocheting
Other children/pregnancies? None, this is my first pregnancy
Pets? None
Spouse? Married for 6 years, together for 16. He teaches middle school.
First Appointment? First appointment and first U/S both went well. I also had my annual checkup around that time and the blood work showed subclinical hyper?thyroid (my TSH was low, but T3 & T4 were fine). Previous blood tests were fine, so this is a fun new pregnancy thing. PCP consulted OB and they agreed it's not necessary to treat yet, but we're keeping an eye on it.
Symptoms? Nausea but no vomiting; breast soreness was awful for the first month but has gotten better in the last couple weeks; prone to lightheadedness/weakness, especially if I don't eat/drink often enough; bloating/gas/heartburn.
Anything else interesting? We just bought out first house! Moved in September. Took care of one or two things that needed doing, then work busyness hit, then Christmas hit, then pregnancy hit. So we still have a lot of boxes to unpack and things we want to do but it's so hard to find the motivation when I just feel ill all the time.
Due date? September 4-7, I actually have no idea when my LMP and between that and size the doctors have fluxed between the 4th, 5th, and 7th. However I'll be having a repeat c-section so it'll be earlier.
How did you find out? I knew I should have been seeing AF soon so I checked my period tracker and realized I'd forgotten to input my last period. When I guessed I was anywhere between 3-6 days late. It was a friday so I decided if I didn't start by monday (also my birthday) I'd take a test. That little blue line showed up pretty much immediately.
Job? I'm a professional makeup artist
Hobbies? SO and I are both total dweebs. I love anime, comics, video games (I'm working on Neir-Automata right now, its total heartbreak), reading, writing, I use to enjoy yoga but I like to do it outside and it's too cold for that crap right now.
Other children/pregnancies? We have on daughter, 5, and a MC before her.
Pets? No more fur babies, but we're thinking about it after we move.
Spouse? SO and I have been together for eight years, and became engaged last June.
First Appointment? I've had a "pregnancy confirmation" appointment, as if I needed a doctor for that. But in the next week or so I'll be meeting with a midwife to see if were a good fit and if she meets my needs or if I'll want a traditional OBGYN again.
Symptoms? All-day sickness, and the earlier I have to get up the worse it is. I've been drinking the Spoiled Mama's Happy Mornings tea and it helps. Aversion to food. Pretty much all food. And I'm always hungry but can only eat meals the size of a kid's meal (if that). Prema tired. Sore huge tender boobs. No weird cravings though and emotionally pretty stable 😅
Anything else interesting? Clearly I'm due in September but we're moving to the other side of the country in July. So that'll be.....interesting.

Spouse? My boyfriend & I have been together for 4 months now & have been planning our wedding for the last month or so. The original plan was to get married on a cruise in January but baby is changing that plan. The new plan is to get married next fall. He is an electrician & we are perfect for each other. We never really believed in the whole "when you know you know" kind of mentality when it comes to dating & marrying quickly but that all changed when we met each other.
When I told him he was so cute & couldn't stop giggling & crying. He is so excited for this baby & is going to be an amazing Father. He is already very supportive of me & concerned for baby. He also can't wait to find out what baby is (we're both hoping for a boy but will be happy with a girl too )! Even though we were not planning on becoming parents so soon (our original plan was to wait 1 year after we got married), we are so excited to welcome our little baby into the world & start our family!
First Appointment? We had our first prenatal appointment on Valentine's Day! I was 7 weeks & we were able to see our little peanut via ultrasound. We had a wonderful Valentine's Day!
Symptoms? Nausea: all day, every day Fatigue: all day, every day Sore boobs: all day, every day (boobs are also growing a lot!) Emotional: I'm very emotional & prone to crying a lot. I cried one day because chocolate chips are cute & our baby was the size of a chocolate chip that day lol (according to the Bump). Bloating: I'm very bloated! It's hard to button my pants due to all the baby bloat Constipation: probably TMI but I've been battling constipation off & on the past couple weeks Food Aversion: my first food aversion happened last week & is continuing on into this one. I alas find chicken yucky all of a sudden. Which I'm super bummed about because I love my chicken tendies! lol Heightened sense of smell: my nose is definitely more sensitive to smells.
Anything else interesting? Favorite Book: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon Favorite TV Show: Game of Thrones Favorite Meal: Chicken Fettucine Alfredo Do we have baby names picked out: Yes we do!

Things you like to do? I love yoga and watching tv.
Spouse/partner? My husband and I have been married since 2015. As noted above, he's a great dad and I'll be happy to have him back when the trial is over!

Job: I get the lovely job of being a stay at home mom. Yes my kids are both in school but the price of after-school care here in Hawaii is sky-high. So doesn’t really make sense to work if most of my paychecks will go to 2 extra hours of care 😒
Hobbies: Art, bullet-journaling, spending lots of time with family, and of course the beach!
Spouse: together for 10 years, still waiting on that ring... 😉
First appointment: I was of course super nervous because I just went through a miscarriage in october 2019 (Rainbow-Miracle baby on the way!) my doctor did and exam to see how far along she thought I was, did an ultrasound and confirmed 8 weeks and a strong flickering heartbeat. Anything else interesting? We jut put my son in daycare 3 days/week and it was such a hard (but necessary decision.) He's with my mom the other two. Just in the last 2 months he's become so much more social and his language has started to develop very quickly. It's been so great for him!!
How’d you find out: Went to the Dr. for what I thought was a bladder infection due to severe lower abdominal cramping, and asked them to run a pregnancy test as well since I was 3 days late. Dr. came in the room and told me that both tests were negative and that she would send the sample off for further testing to figure out what the cramping could be. Shortly after I got home I got a phone call from the Dr’s office and it was the MA telling me that while she was preparing to send the sample off, she saw the pregnancy test on the counter had developed a faint line so she ran a second test and it did the same. I went right back in for bloodwork and the pregnancy was confirmed the next day!

Randomly took a pregnancy test because I knew I had a big weekend coming up, and I wanted to see my "no" on the pee strip that I always saw so I could drink with confidence!

Emotional: I'm very emotional & prone to crying a lot. I cried one day because chocolate chips are cute & our baby was the size of a chocolate chip that day lol (according to the Bump).
Bloating: I'm very bloated! It's hard to button my pants due to all the baby bloat
Constipation: probably TMI but I've been battling constipation off & on the past couple weeks
Food Aversion: my first food aversion happened last week & is continuing on into this one. I alas find chicken yucky all of a sudden. Which I'm super bummed about because I love my chicken tendies! lol
Heightened sense of smell: my nose is definitely more sensitive to smells.

Job: I get the lovely job of being a stay at home mom. Yes my kids are both in school but the price of after-school care here in Hawaii is sky-high. So doesn’t really make sense to work if most of my paychecks will go to 2 extra hours of care 😒

September 23, 2020
Went to the Dr. for what I thought was a bladder infection due to severe lower abdominal cramping, and asked them to run a pregnancy test as well since I was 3 days late. Dr. came in the room and told me that both tests were negative and that she would send the sample off for further testing to figure out what the cramping could be.
