@shaqn0sis Me too, high five team palps! They're definitely more frequent now than they were before pregnancy. They seemed to fire up when I was really stressed for sure. Was it the same with you?

  • @lizzybean I also posted about heart palpitations, but they are usually triggered by lying down. Going to ask my OB at the next appt, but @nursejenn5 's response makes sense to me and is what my last OB said during my last pregnancy.

And @knockupthestock if eating spicy foods is wrong, then I don't want to be right  :D I get a buffalo chicken salad like once a week for lunch lol.
  • @lizzybean84 frequency hasn't changed much, however pregnancy has made them feel 'deeper' if that makes sense and I've only been feeling at night when I'm laying down.
  • @kristinl492 I'm planning on doing the same this spring term that starts in April because I plan to take summer into fall off. (which is why i'm trying to get alot of baby things done prior to April. It'll be a miserable few months, but oh well, power through!)

Kudos to you ladies @kristinl492 @nursejenn5! That's awesome. You might regret it while you're in the thick of it, but once it's done you'll be happy you could cross those credits off your list.
  • @nursejenn5 my thoughts exactly! Power through now for when that break is needed in the fall. I usually try to utilize downtime at work to get classwork done so I have that time to relax at home!

@mrsdrez thanks! It’s never the kind of thing you regret in the long room. Good thing registration is coinciding with the energy levels of the second trimester or I’d never get it done 😂
  • @mamarosebud22 im so sorry about your husband! im so glad hes okay and is still alive!!! i hope his recovery is going well and will continue to go well!

  • @mamarosebud22 holy moly! How horrible, but so glad your husband’s condition is improving!
  • @mamarosebud22 wow, glad your husband is ok! What a crazy week it’s been for everyone on here lately!
In regards to your anatomy scan, it would take a lot for them to change your due date based on US measurements. Every baby grows at their own rate and genetics start to play a part in how big/small baby is. Doesn’t change the due date! 1lb is about the average weight for a 20 week gestation. Sounds like baby is doing great!

Baby is the size of a(n)/fun fact:

tall, decaf, non-fat, Frappuccino with whipped cream and caramel drizzle.

Upcoming appointments: Friday, 2/28 Anatomy scan at MFM

How are you feeling? Decent! Last week and earlier this week lots of headaches/nausea/tired that had been gone awhile. And I just don't get headaches

Raves/Rants: I still haven't felt baby moved (second pregnancy). This time placenta is posterior (last time was anterior and I didnt feel movement until 24 weeks).

I've been struggling mentally for months and can't find a counselor. All are full in a town of 100k and two hospitals. I'm drained to keep calling. I asked one why everyone is full and she said bc of the university (40,000 students not included in population) and are area is fast growing.

    Questions: None

GTKY- Would you rather never play or always lose? always lose. I'm just here to be social and eat snacks:-)

    @blaf322
That is really hard! I've never heard of that. I'm glad they're on top of it. Sending good vibes!
  • @busymom247 I’m sorry you’re struggling to find a counselor. That’s really hard. Your post reminded me that I wanted to ask folks if a Mental Health Check -In thread would be helpful. The Trying to Get Pregnant board had one and I found it helpful. Just a safe place to talk about mental health concerns, whether currently under treatment or not.
  • @mamarosebud22 First, very sorry to hear about your husband.  And second, yes I've been measuring a week ahead but they aren't changing due date for now.  The Advanced Fetal specialist said they'd assess the date closer to time.
  • @mamarosebud22 omg how scary! I hope he's doing better now.

@rachelredhead I was just thinking earlier this week how our board hasn't had a mental health check-in. I think they're always a good idea! I can try to start one if I have a minute this morning.
  • @mamarosebud22 They aren't likely to change due date at this point. As others have said, all babies grow at their own rate, even in utero - and the older they are, the more varied the growth is. Did they do an early ultrasound? Those are the most accurate for dating.

Also, weight estimates don't seem to be super accurate. They do measure the bones and stuff pretty well, so he is probably on the tall/big side right now, but that doesn't mean your due date is off. Also, the way percentiles work is that some babies will always be at the high end, some will be at the low end. They all have to be somewhere in the lineup!
