Neti Pot and (this is even grosser, but it helped me) snorting like 2 drops of an edible oil afterwards if you're getting bleeds. But seriously rinsing out my nose instead of blowing it much at all has been a huge help to preventing bleeds for me. My husband instead blows super hard all the time, makes himself more congested, then gets bleeds and also the Neti Pot can't work once you've blown so hard to clogged it all up worse, lol!

  • @hayhay2501 I had the worst nosebleed when I was pregnant with DS! DH found me in the bathroom and thought something was wrong and flipped out and called my mom 😂
  • Congested... I have been some version of congested since the beginning and it is driving me nuts. Now I have started getting acid reflux/indigestion.
  • @lizanet Acid reflux is DAILY. I live on Tums.
  • Anyone else dealing with excessive sweating between their legs? Are there any safe products to use? I know breathable panties are a must, but I think I need something more.
  • @kjack86 Cloth panty liners, so I can get stay dry during the day.

  • Anyone else already getting braxton hicks? They even saw one when doing my scan. I definitely think they started later last time!

Mine started at maybe 17/18 weeks with my first, and 13 weeks with the next two. So yeah, definitely happening here.

  • @hayhay2501 I have been wondering if I will start to get them soon. I can’t remember when they started with DS but I think maybe late second tri/early third?
  • @hayhay2501 I haven't had any yet. I feel like it was third tri when I got them last time but I can't remember. So many things I thought I wouldn't forget are distant memories these days.

Baby girl is still so low its weird to feel movements where I do. I don't remember that with ds but I did have an anterior placenta last time. She does not like me leaning forward at all. Crazy how strong she's getting.
  • baby boy is so low and breached.. whenever he kicks I feel it in my cervix and it makes me want to pee.... Has caused one slight accident already !!
  • I have a yeast infection for the third time this pregnancy. FML!!!!
    BabyFruit Ticker
  • @hayhay2501 oh no!

@lizanet this baby is so much lower than I ever felt ds. It's strange to feel kicks so low!

Ick, I'm sorry. I have to be super careful about only wearing underwear that are at least 90% cotton, and either wearing a panty liner or changing them out twice per day, sometimes more, during second and third trimester especially. Otherwise damp underwear lead to yeast issues for me. I hope you can get it taken care of quickly.

  • @runwmusic same here. My daughter was low but not this low so early on.
  • @pourmeanothermocktail I think I need to start diligently changing my panty liners twice a day. Sorry that’s TMI but discharge this pregnancy has been insane and I’m sure that’s a big factor in what’s going on. Yuck!

That's my pregnancy life. I've been in denial about panty liners, and because I SAH, I've just been changing my underwear during the day when necessary. It's the same when I'm freaking ovulating too. I hate it. So I'm going through 2-3 pairs per day. Ugh. It's keeping yeast from being an issue though.

I have to have cotton undies always though. I just can't do other materials. Pretty underwear are not for me!

  • I need to start wearing pantyliners too :/

We've gone from little taps of movement to flopping around like a fish movement.  This is officially my favorite point in pregnancy.
  • @JessiBride yes on the movement! Just this last week I’m like holy cow buddy there you are.
  • Also on the panty liner bus here 😒 Work isn’t very busy right now so I’m home a lot more often, so then I just change my underwear/pajama pants more often. I hate the feeling of pads/liners.

@lizanet my babe is super low and breach too. Most of the kicks feel like they’re a direct shot to the bladder or cervix and it’s not a good feeling! I’ve almost peed myself a few times because of it. I’m loving that I can feel her moving pretty much all the time now but it would be great if she could just move up a smidge.
  • Here too.  The last few days the movement has been so much stronger and I have been feeling a lot on the outside.  The other night, I couldnt stop laughing because he was kicking me so hard and I didnt expect it.
  • @bbluemoo see I have already had one small accident lol I also love the more consistent movement, gives me peace of mind. Hopefully they make their way to a more comfy spot.
  • @JessiBride fish movement 😂 but that’s such an accurate comparison! No more tickles-flops and wiggles!

I'm on the lookout for our first set of hiccups here too. That was one of my favorite parts!

  • Sometimes I'm surprised by the strength of her kicks. Definitely no more taps and tickles! @alli392 ds had hiccups so often!! I'm curious if this babe will have them as often. Such a crazy feeling 😍

Somehow this pregnancy isn't bothering me as much as my last one did at this point. Either I'm savoring in my last pregnancy, or maybe I'm just used to not having a life of my own anymore that I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. Either way I'm definitely not ready for an infant again! I can happily stay pregnant.
  • I’ve often used the flopping fish to describe what baby movements feel like to friends who haven’t gone through pregnancy and men. I’ve never felt the butterfly flutters people talk about, so I guess I’m not in tune enough to know it’s baby until it’s the big flops.

I sure hope this baby’s schedule changes once she’s born...right now she sleeps just about all day and dances around through the night.
  • I've been sick all week, so I have lost my sense of smell and taste.  However, I do still have heartburn, which I find ironic.
  • @JessiBride @alli392 @Kjack85 Flopping fish is so so accurate! I can't say I feel any "kicks", it's really like a fish doing a round about.

The fish baby definitely flops on my bladder though. I didn't expect to have the going to the bathroom 100x in an hour problem until much later in the pregnancy!
  • @mariabele SAME HERE! Baby is so low that he kicks my cervix and makes me feel like I need to go to the bathroom ASAP. I am going to the bathroom as many times as I did when I was 8 months with my daughter!
  • Night SWEATS. OMG I have been having bad night sweats for the past week. I literally wake up drenched,TMI  but I sleep basically naked just my undies and a sports bra. I have had hot flashes on and off for the past 3 weeks. I didn't experience either with my previous pregnancy.

  • Well, my boobs are leaking now so I guess being braless is gone for the foreseeable future
  • @bbluemoo my boobs are so sore I couldn't imagine going braless!

@bbluemoo @runwmusic My boobs are so sore I've gone straight to wearing nursing tanks w/ shelf bras under my maternity shirts (WFH/SAHM perks?). I try to bunch all of my out of the house chores together so I can wear an underwire for the minimum time possible.

  • @runwmusic I find it’s the opposite for me! They’re sore so cramming them into a bra sucks!

@kyrwyn I’m so thankful that the nursing tanks I ordered from old navy just came in on Tuesday!
  • Seasonal allergies have hit early (because it's 80 at work in February?!?!?).  Anyone else dealing with them/planning on them arriving?  What are you taking?

My Dr okayed benedryl, so I'm taking a very small occasional dose when it's really bad, but I hate taking anything.  Local honey doesn't do much for me because I live and work in very different climates so get hit by different plants (sea level vs 6000' high dessert).  Work is killing me currently.  Home is still winterish.
  • I never had Braxton Hicks with my first pregnancy ever to the best of my knowledge. But would it be crazy to be having them at 24 weeks this time around?

And, if you’ve ever experienced them, what did they feel like to you?

basically I’m weirded out that I never had them last time and I’m getting these weird tightenings mostly in the lower part of my stomach. Rock hard when you touch it. Not painful but a weirdly tight feeling? Usually they happen when I’m being active but had one in the shower tonight.

@JessiBride I take a centrizine every night (spelling?) and have for both my pregnancies. It’s a generic form of Zyrtec. Helps so much!

edited to say neither my OB first time around or my MFMs this time have ever had a problem with it and said it’s okay.

Not weird at all, they've started earlier each pregnancy for me, and been more uncomfortable. I've been having them since 13 weeks, but I'm super prone. Full bladder, dehydration, did too much, stress, all cause mine. And that's exactly how I'd describe mine.

  • @alli392 I got them in the third trimester with DD but have been getting them pretty frequently since around 19 weeks this time. Fun

  • @alli392 I feel like mine started late second tri with DS but I am having them regularly now. Sounds exactly like you describe.
