@shamrocandroll That's what we did with DD. We knew at 12 weeks from NIPT, but told everyone else we were waiting. It was so nice. I felt no shame for lying.
@shamrocandroll I also find that people without kids, or people who have not had kids in a long time, either don't know or forget at which point in pregnancy you even can find out the sex. If I don't tell them, they often just think that it must be too soon to know yet. We have known since Thanksgiving, our doctors knew even before that with some of my early screening.
@ruby696 I'm generally against lying to people, but as far as I'm concerned, pregnancy is a medical condition, and therefore I'm entitled to share or not share what I want without shame.

@rox7777@mamaj1220@pourmeanothermocktail thanks! I am so torn so I've asked for the OB to give me a call to discuss their philosophies further and if they're super laid back I might lean towards them over the midwife.
@pirateduck Yeah I would love to tour both hospitals and meet with both providers before deciding. It just feels tough with how last minute it's all going to be.
Over the weekend I told a friend that we were having a baby. He then asked when the baby is due. When I told him his reaction was that that is really soon! I guess it really is soon. It's crazy to think about how little time is left!
