- How you found out - my husband and I had been trying two months prior. I had no doubt in my mind that I was about to start my period, bloat, acne, the works. My husband, daughter and I went on a trip and when we came back I took a test and it came back positive! My husband actually talked me into it because I was dead set I was starting my period late.
- Hobbies, Job, Etc. - I teach elementary school.
- Spouse, Kids - My husband is also a teacher and we have an almost 14 month old daughter.
- I know it's too early to show, but my bloat is so real! I've had 4 people at work ask if I was pregnant already. One just said she knows because she's been watching me and I'm already bigger that the girl due in February. 🙈🙈🙈 I teach fitness classes for the other teachers after school so they don't expect me to have a gut ever 🙄

- Spouse, Kids - my husband and I have been married for 12 yrs, we have 3 kids (boy 9, girl 8 and boy 5).
I didn't plan for a fourth, was joking about being free with all the kiddos in school. Ha ha jokes one me. We are pleased to be adding to the family and hope for a healthy pregnancy and little one.
How you found out: I actually had an appointment to go see the OBGYN about my very irregular periods and we had been trying to conceive for almost a year. On Labor Day I decided to take a pregnancy test just for the heck of it (and before I went to my appointment the next week) and to my surprise it was faintly positive! A couple tests later (as the line kept getting darker) I finally accepted that we were pregnant.
Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I am a postpartum RN. I love spending time with family and watching Carolina football.
Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Fur-babies: I have been married for almost 2 yrs and this will be our first child. We have 4 fur babies (3 dogs and 1 cat)
Anything you’d like us to know 🙂: We are super excited to start this chapter in our lives together. This will be my parents 2nd grandchild and his parents 7th grandchild.
How I found out: I just had a feeling (so did my husband, he kept joking that I was probably pregnant), which was confirmed by my period being late and breasts being tender. I took an at home pregnancy test and it was positive, then confirmed at doctor's office.
Hobbies/job: I quit my job a while back, my husband can support us financially so I have been renovating our house and helping at my husband's office once in a while. Also have been raising our puppy. I love yoga, meditation, hiking, and just anything hanging out with friends and family.
Family: I have been married to my husband for just over a year. No kids right now, I miscarried last year once so I hope this is successful. We have a 6 month old leonberger puppy and he is awesome. We are training him to be a therapy dog.
Anything else? We are in Canada. We are both excited for this chapter but I am anxious because of a previous loss. My family will be so excited to have another little one added to the extended family! I think I will be able to be excited when we get past the first trimester.

- How you found out: I would drink a few days before and during my period when we were trying. I was certain I wasn't pregnant but glad husband insisted that I take the test before we started drinking for the night.
- Hobbies, Job, Etc.: Lawyer. I like to read and am worried how having a child will cut into my quiet alone morning time.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: first baby. Been married about 2 years.

First-Time Mom
EDD: 5/1/20 *please stick, baby*
Hi everyone! My name is Sonia, I’m 34 and I’m 8w5d today. I’m pregnant with twins and we found out via blood test two weeks after our embryo transfer (we did IVF).
My due date is May 24, 2020. I’m a Registered Nurse and love preventative care and helping others live a healthy lifestyle. My goal is to start my own online Health Coaching business in 2020. Such a big goal for being pregnant, I know. However, it would be nice to be able to work from home once babies are here. With that said, my hobbies are blogging and running (haven’t been running lately). I own a sewing machine and crochet some…but I don’t do that very regularly.
I have 3 children and my youngest is almost 13. So yes, I’m starting over. I had my kids very young and remarried to a wonderful man who does not have children of his own at 33.
I’m very active on Instagram but I haven’t announced my pregnancy on social media. My anxiety levels have been high this week because I hear so many bad stories about pregnancy and early loss on social media. So, I found myself needing to be a part of a community where I can talk about these happy days. So, here I am. Excited to get to know everyone!
My name is Jordyn and this is my first pregnancy! I’m due 5/25/2020 😊
I found out exactly at four weeks because I was feeling super sick and my sense of smell was out of control! I was so shocked I took two tests!
I work as a web developer and user experience designer. I really like reading, going on walks, and trying new food!
I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost scene years. We own a house and have two dogs and cats. I’m surprised people tend to be a little judgmental when they find out we’re having a baby and not married!
We just told my parents last night and I recorded it. It was a total surprise and one of the most adorable reactions ever!
How I found out: Both my kiddos have September birthdays so we’d been super busy with parties and everything. A couple days after DS Birthday I realized I missed my period and took a test that night and got my BFP!
We just had our first appointment yesterday at 9 weeks. Feeling better now that I got to see baby wiggling around. We haven’t told anyone yet but of course I ran into a co-worker who is pregnant at the Dr office. So I guess she’s the first to know lol. Hopefully she’ll keep quiet for me.
Looking forward to getting involved here!
EDD:5/21/2020
How we found out: I went in to my doctor with lower left abdominal pain, I had an IUD in place so the thought of being pregnant hadn't really even crossed my mind. So I found out last week at 10 weeks.
Job/Hobbies: I work with people with disabilities in writing plans and assisting to find them services including but not limited to job coaching, community hab, and IRA placement. Hobbies are usually whatever my almost six year old finds interesting for us and I am just getting into restoring vintage furniture.
Spouse, kids, fur babies: My DF is Zach and we have been together 7 years, we have one son who was born in Dec 2013 and a cat and dog.
I am excited to get to know everyone!
EDD 05/20/20
How I found out: took a test the day of my expected period and was amazed to see the lines. Wed been trying for some months now and I was beginning to think that it was going to be difficult to get pregnant again. TW: had 2 losses in 2018 and I am now 41.
Job/hobbies: I work remotely for a US IT company but live in the Dominican Republic.
Family: Been with my boyfriend for 5 years. We have a 3-year old son and 3 rescued dogs. I don't have a lot of free time but love to go to the beach, watch movies, and listen to music.
EDD (Estimated Due Date): May 21, 2020
Hobbies, Job, Etc: I am a Learning and Development Manager at a financial institution. Don't really have any hobbies, wish I was a hobby person 🤷🏻♀️
Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: my husband and I have been married for 2 years, together for 5. We also have a furbaby Ollie, he is our firstborn, spoiled little (60 lbs...not too little) American Staffordshire Terrier mix. I love him more than anything/anyone (my husband knows it, he's cool with it).
I am beyond grateful that this pregnancy is going pretty smoothly. I am at 10 weeks 4 days today without any major/life-disrupting symptoms. Heard the heartbeat again today at over 160 bmp ♥️
- EDD: May 24th
- How you found out: P.O.S the day of Expected period with MH next to me. The line was clear and dark right away. Which gave me some relief because a couple months prior we had a chemical pregnancy and the line started out light and just got lighter.
- Hobbies, Job, etc.: Fishing, boating and camping! We spend all of our extra time on our fishing boat or camping on the eastern shore with our camper. For my job, I am an Operations Manager for a commercial cleaning company.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: My DH and I have been together for 6.5 years, recently married in August. 1 D.D. who is 3.5. and 2 big goofy dogs.
- Anything you’d like us to know: Wi
Today, I am 13 weeks. EDD May 6th.
This is my 6th pregnancy. I have 4 boys (9, 8, 6, 3) and 1 girl (2 next month). I also have a cat, 2 dogs, 3 roosters, 14 chickens, and 31 eggs incubating (hatch day is Friday, so if anyone wants "newborn" pics...lol).
All my children have been born at home with a midwife in attendance. If it comes down to needing to be in hospital, I will, but if not, home I shall remain.
I feel that every woman and every pregnancy is unique; that what meets the needs of one may not meet the needs of another. I have found that there are very few true absolutes, especially in pregnancy.
I am also a massage therapist; currently, over 10 years experience. I specialized in prenatal massage and the only thing holding up my labor doula certification is attending the set number of births within the defined timeframe (always just miss it😫).
If, for some reason, I come off as abrasive or judgemental (not been an issue to date), I ask you to PM me to discuss it. It is never my intention to do so and I much prefer to avoid drama. But, if it should ever happen, I would appreciate knowing about it.👍🏻
Other than that, I wish all you lovely ladies, healthy pregnancies and a cuddly bundle (or two...or more?) to fill your arms in a few short months. 🥰💗
EDD (Estimated Due Date): May 2nd
- How you found out: Took 2 home tests the day before we moved into our new home 🏡 both were positive. I went for bloodwork the following week to confirm. We had been trying so I was hopeful!
- Hobbies, Job: I am an elementary school teacher. I’m trying to think of ways to tell my students and families. I’m going to wait until after parent-teacher conferences though which are in December. Luckily I’m still not showing at almost 14 weeks here.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: No babies of the human or furry kind. Just me and my husband. We met in college and have been together for 10 years total and married for 5. We are super excited about our first - and I’m super nervous about going through all these changes for the first time. I’m a nervous patient when I’m not pregnant so I’m trying to take everything as it comes, but thank God for this board and all of you who ease my mind every day ☺️
- Anything you’d like us to know 🙂 Just very thankful for the kindness on this board. The internet can be a dark place sometimes, so I am just grateful for everyone’s candid advice and support of one another.

I've been poking around on here and decided I should make myself known! So, this is my first pregnancy and I have not been given an EDD yet but I am guessing May 27 from my last period. They did say I am 11 weeks spot on as of today. Hooray, exactly 1 year of ttc with my husband, we got that positive. I took an at home test while he was at work and had the fun of spilling the news when he came home. We both are veterinary tech assists, though now that I'm pregnant my job duties are shifting, cant do everything I used to. My husband and I have been together for 3 years and I am beyond blessed with his care for me, my mornings have been rough. We have one cat named Milo who is our whole world, he was rescued from the streets and we swear he was raised by raccoons. He is such a personality and I cant wait to see how he will interact once the baby arrives.
