This thread is getting away from me already! I’ll try to be back later with more tags.
@meri-mac I’m so impressed at the amount of follies you have. Sorry to hear that they are concerned about OHSS but it sounds like a good idea to be cautious and go for FET. GL with the ER! Hugs!
@feather_heather That’s amazing news! So excited for you! FX your embryo gets all settled in!
@kpearse99 That’s a good idea to increase my yoga/meditation. Thanks for the reminder that it’s okay to have all these feelings!
@nitnat007 Hope you are feeling better now! I can relate to the bloat from the Halloween treats. Nov 14th is so close!
@ellieemc26 Welcome but sorry you find yourself here. Glad you’re feeling optimistic and FX with your upcoming IUI!
@inthewoods23 That must be such a relief that all your testing came back normal. FX for you!
@mvt2003 My next appointment is Nov 18th. Glad to hear that you liked the RU. Things seem to be moving quickly for you! Hope the rest of the testing comes back ok.
Me: 35 DH: 35 TTC since 9/2018
Dx: MFI 10/19- First RE visit 2/20- DH had surgery for bilateral varicoceles 7/20- IUI with 5 mg letrozole- BFN 9/20- IVF. 9 eggs retrieved, 9 mature, 8 fertilized with ICSI, 7 blasts, 4 PGT-A normal 11/20- Mock transfer/ERA 12/20- FET #1- transferred one 4AB- BFN 3/21- FET #2- transferred one 3AB- BFP! Due Dec 2021 12/21- Baby girl born!
@kiki047 - Yeah they said the grading goes up to 9, but that they almost never see an 8 or 9 and that a 7AA is the basically the best grading you could hope for! The full bladder thing was so hard, especially because the ER right before me went 30 mins late and then they had to turn the room over for me! She did say that it was definitely more full then it needed to be. I would ask your doctor what the minimum amount to drink is, and what’s the latest you can drink it (I had to pee an hour before they ended up even starting so I was struggling). Luckily you don’t have to lay there afterwards like an IUI. You get up right away and can pee immediately!
@emeraldduchess - Is your trigger subcutaneous or intramuscular? It’s nerve wracking the first time, but you can do it! Just take a few deep breaths and just go for it. If it’s subcutaneous like @b_1029 said, grab your belly fat and stick it in. I also did my own intramuscular injection because DH wasn’t home - I sat on the couch with my leg up, pinched the muscle on the top of my thigh and stuck the needle in - otherwise your DH can do it on your butt! Good luck lady, you’ve got this!
@emeraldduchess if you're doing sub-q, the trigger isn't too bad (not saying IM is bad. I just haven't done it!) Like @b_1029 said, just grab your skin and poke. I didn't even feel mine, and I didn't take it out of the fridge early, so if you warm it up, it will be even better.
@emeraldduchess you can also put an ice pack on the area for a few mins before you do the shot, and if you put it back on after it may help minimize any bruising (if any). I didn't bruise the first time but did the second. It feels daunting but the injection itself isn't too bad. Whoops pressed enter too soon. ETA: Good luck!! You got this!!
@feather_heather wow, then it sounds like you've got the best of the best little embies on board! My one friend said they told her to go let out half a cup of pee because her bladder was too full. Nope. Not happening lol.

@meri-mac I'll be keeping everything crossed for a smooth and routine ER with no OHSS! ❤️
@emeraldduchess I'm sorry you're feeling anxious about the while thing. I have a great feeling about this for you!!
Quick update from me: my CD2 bloodwork today was not ideal. I'm going to be benched this cycle due to sky high estradiol and a small cyst. I'm not taking it well, so I'm going to go on a small TB hiatus. I ❤️ you all, I hope none of you are here when I get back!!
AFM: My doctor called me today to address my questions and anxiety about follicle size and lining. He said if this cycle doesn't work, he'd recommend increasing gonal f and starting it earlier in the cycle. Im not responding the way he wants. And he said that having more, bigger follies will make my lining thicker on it's own. He said he doesn't think my lining is thin at baseline and that he doesn't want to add estrogen or anything else. We talked about viagra, and he said that's used in extreme circumstances and isn't something he usually goes to.
@jennifer_louise So sorry, friend. Take all the time you need! hugs!

I booked my first local RE appointment for week of 11/18. So excited! The first consultation session includes a baseline US and any in house blood work, so I scheduled the meeting 15 days after my confirmed ovulation date (yesterday). Hope this will help relief some TWW stress! At least I know if AF arrives, I can move on quickly.
@feather_heather wonderful news!! Hope that perfect embryo settles in nicely! I’ve got everything crossed for you!! 💜
@jennifer_louise I’m so sorry!! Sending you all the hugs!! 💜💜💜 Take all the time you need, but know that we are here for you!!
I’m going to do my best to come back for my post and the rest of tags, but this thread has really gotten away from me this week...and it’s only Tuesday!!
@meri-mac I definitely agree with you on the medical advice! I don’t think she was a nurse because she introduced herself as an ultrasound tech, and I thought they weren’t really allowed to say anything like @nitnat007 mentioned so I was just a little worried she was speaking out of turn. I didn’t want to have a false sense of security and then be surprised at my follow up but it sounds like everyone agrees it’s normal so I’m going to relax for now 🙂. I’m so excited for you for Thursday and I hope everything can go as planned!
thank you @kiki047 your post was so kind and is exactly how I’m feeling. I really appreciate it!
@shoogapoff no results yet. The ultrasound tech says it can take up to a week which was today so if they aren’t posted in the morning I’m going to call. I’m glad you called your RE and I hope it helped your anxiety
@jennifer_louise I am so so sorry. We will miss you but definitely take the time you need ❤️❤️
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Letrozole (5mg), TI, & progesterone after O.
How are things going?: Doing alright...I was very sad that last cycle was a bust, but I’m ready for this next cycle to get going! Start Letrozole dose tomorrow and we are hoping for the best this time around! I was kind of expecting a super heavy AF after progesterone since it’s supposed to help with lining, but it hasn’t been terrible...so hopefully that’s somewhat normal.
Any questions?: None right now.
GTKY: What part of your wardrobe do you spend the most on? I’ll go with dresses for work...although I do have a shoe problem too!
@NYTino24 glad your IUI went well! Sorry you couldn’t get in the extra timing after, but everything crossed you ended up with perfect timing!!
@emeraldduches sorry there has been confusion with your LH, but I’m so happy you were able to trigger! Everything crossed this IUI is a success for you!!
@kpearse I hope this 1 week wait flies by for you!! The waiting is never fun, but I hope you get the best news next Monday!! 💜 @misshelen86 I’m so sorry for the not-so-great experience at your HSG and the uncertainty with all your results! Hope there are no surprises at your next appt and you get some clarity on the potential blocked tube! Like you said, just take it one day at a time...you’ve got this lady!!
@meri-mac so glad they are doing everything they can to limit the risk of OHSS! Everything crossed that your ER goes well Thursday and you are able to do a fresh transfer this cycle!
@nitnat007 sorry the nasal spray has had some unpleasant side-effects! One step closer though, you’ve got this!!
@ellieemc26 welcome!! Sorry for all the stress going into your first IUI cycle, but hopefully timing works out perfectly for you!
@inthewoods23 everything crossed this natural cycle worked for you!! I agree, you can never be too warm...as I type this sitting under a blanket with sweats and socks on!
@kiki047 so glad your talk with your dad/boss went well! I’m sure that was a relief to let him in on things! Hope your cycle isn’t too long...and I’m sending positive vibes that this natural cycle works for you as well!!
@shoogapoff yay for your IUI!! I’m glad you were able to get some clarity from your doctor about follicle sizes and lining...but I have everything crossed this cycle is a success!!
@pom9207 so glad you were able to proceed with the IUI! Fingers crossed for you!
@mvt2003 I’m glad your appt with the RU went well...that stinks about the surprise physical exam, but hopefully it wasn’t too bad for him! I’m so sorry you are still in this period of waiting/testing...I hope if IVF is the ultimate plan, that time passes quickly so you can start! Sending hugs & positive vibes your way! 💜 That is wonderful news about your insurance coverage, I know that is a huge relief!! @bows22 hope you get YH’s SA results soon! Sorry for the cysts & fibroids that showed on the US, but that sounds reassuring that they shouldn’t cause any issues! I have everything crossed for you this cycle...let’s move on to August together!!
@ramzlau I hope you have been able to decide what is best for this next cycle! *TW - loss mentioned - our RE did not want us to try until all RPL testing was complete after our second loss, but I completely understand the desire to try again immediately! - End TW* I hope you got some clarity from your RE...I’m sure they know your situation the best!
@misskdreams so sorry you find yourself here, but yes...this is such a wonderful community!! Hope you get some answers at your appt and your stay here is short & sweet!
Whew, I think I got caught up...I know I say this every week, but I really need to stop letting this thread get away from me!!
@bluetickgal good luck with the letrozole! FX that the combo of that, TI and progesterone does the trick!!
No side effects (yet) from the trigger shot last night. Very happy about that! Now I need to keep telling myself that I am healthy, all our IF/RPL testing has come back normal, and I am doing everything I can to make this work.
@emeraldduchess my RE tells me to keep the skin pinched 🤷🏻♀️ (Sorry @bows22 i know your bags that emoji 😂). So that’s what I’ve done the last two times. I don’t think it matters at all.

@kiki047 Thanks for the kind words . Glad that you were able to have a good chat with your dad. Keeping everything crossed for your upcoming IVF (or better yet, that you’ll be a unicorn and get KU right before!).
@shoogapoff Glad to hear that your IUI went well. Hope you’re able to find some ways to distract yourself during this TWW and stay away from the google rabbit hole!
@pom9207 Yay for your first IUI! FX! There is no way to know for sure if you have endo without doing a laparoscopy. Glad to hear the cyst is gone now!
@bows22 I think simple cysts are pretty common and they develop when your ovary fails to release an egg or when a follicle in your ovary continues to grow after an egg has been released. Some type of cysts might require monitoring. I have one that has been there on 2 ultrasounds so far and it might be a dermoid, which might need to be removed at some point. Hope they are able to give you more answers at your next appointment.
@ramzlau Hope you are able to get all the testing in. Whatever decision you make will be right for you.. I find journaling is helpful when I need to make difficult decisions. The answer seems to come a little more clearly after I’ve gotten all the emotions out.
@misskdreams Welcome! Sorry that you are stressing so much. Sounds like you’ve had a difficult journey. Hope you are able to take some time for yourself before your appointment!

@inthewoods23 ugh, stupid AF. I hate when my underwear gets ruined, too.
Anyone else get a metallic taste and slight tingly feeling in their mouth the morning after the trigger or is it just me? Might be unrelated, but still weird.
@emeraldduchess I have not gotten that taste/feeling after the trigger before but it makes sense that it could happen since a metallic taste is commonly an early pregnancy sign and you just injected yourself with tons of hCG.

Going to try to catch up and get involved here as the day goes on. In the meantime, wanted to share this free online 21-day meditation series that just began this week. Each meditation is about 15 minutes long; this first one is longer since it’s the intro. If meditation is not your thing this is great to fall asleep to!😄 (Sorry for the long link: I’m on mobile & cant fix it.)
We officially have 8 blastocysts on ice! We didn't do any PGT testing though, because insurance doesn't cover it, and we don't have a history of losses (because said history is 0 pregnancies), so it didn't seem necessary at this point in time. DH just said "F it, lets transfer them all!" Uhhhh one step at a time there dude!
@jennifer_louise - We will miss you! But take all the time you need! @emeraldduchess - I did the same thing with my first trigger shot! Too many steps to remember with all that adrenalin! @inthewoods23 - She has a way of doing that huh? Sorry girl. I was really hoping this was going to be it for you.
@kpearse99 aha, that makes sense now. *TW* loss* Both times I was pregnant I didn't have a metallic taste, but they were both very early losses. I must not have had much HGC in my system then. Ladies who have done the trigger, does you RE tell you to test it out of your system? Mine hasn't said anything about that.
@emeraldduchess I never had the metallic taste either. My RE did not tell me to or not to... I decided to do it the next day for my own curiousness, and to confirm I did it right! haha

My mock transfer and biopsy won't be until January 6th!! The real transfer may run us right around my cousin's wedding in February and our first competition for the robotics team the following weekend! Why does this have to be so stressful?? 😣

@emeraldduchess They've told me before they can adjust timing if need be to better suit our schedules so we should be able to tweak it to right between the 2 events or even after both.
ETA: at a minimum they'd put me on BCP for 18 days or they can up that to 35 days or so

@meri-mac love the nerdier wardrobe! MH has maintained my nerd level having grown up with 4 brothers I don’t think it could get too much more. Good luck on the ER tomorrow!
@jennifer_louise This journey is so hard. I hope you take good care of yourself during this break!
@bluetickgal FWIW I always expected progesterone to make my bleeding during AF heavier too, but it never did. Hoping for the best for you this cycle! And yep, our RE benched us this cycle.
@emeraldduchess Yay for trigger going well! My RE would be strongly opposed to testing out trigger, only because she would prefer no home tests prior to 14DPO.
@inthewoods23 Not a fun way to start the day. Hugs. And why is timing always so much more difficult when you know months in advance instead of only weeks?!
AFM: RE benched us this cycle, was kind of expecting it and glad that decision is out of our hands. Labs for AMH, A1Cs, and thyroid all came back good! Yay for no Synthroid needed! I call my RE tomorrow to put a definite plan together now that we have those results in. Only 3 items left on checklist: H's labs, SA, and my annual physical.
@meri-mac - Good luck with your ER today!! Excited to hear your update!!
Guys, I forgot to switch my progesterone gel to the morning yesterday (day after transfer) and instead took it at night. Remembered to switch to morning this morning. I'm freaking out. Please tell me this is okay. I didn't technically miss a dose, just forgot to switch to the morning
@misskdreams Sorry to hear about your issues. Hoping that you can see and RE and see what your next steps would be. GL.
@feather_heather Whoop Whoop!! Way to go. Everything crossed for a sticky little embryo. And congrats on your 8 on ice too. Amazing! Call your clinic and ask them. I don't think you have anything to freak out about, but they will know for sure. They are the experts. GL!
@jennifer_louise So sorry friend. Be kind to yourself and we will be here when you are ready.
@pom9207 Hope time flies for you and your appointment is here before you know it.
@bluetickgal Sorry about last cycle. Hoping that this one is the one for you though. I know how disappointing it can be. You got this though.
@inthewoods23 Ugh that af, she really knows how to ruin things. And add on all the sketchy timing too. Hope that it all works out for you. Sorry friend!
@ramzlau Good with the bad. But you are moving forward and that much closer to getting this started.
Re: IF Testing and Treatment Week of 11/4-11/10/19
@meri-mac I’m so impressed at the amount of follies you have.
@NYTino24 So glad your IUI went well. FX for you!

@feather_heather Yay!! All the happy thoughts coming your way!

My trigger is sub-q. DH isn't going to be home to help me, so hopefully I can do it without a problem. 🤞

@jennifer_louise I’m so sorry!! Sending you all the hugs!! 💜💜💜 Take all the time you need, but know that we are here for you!!
Guys, I did the trigger shot! Not bad at all. I forgot to "unpinch" my skin as I pushed the meds in, but hopefully that's not going to be a problem.
thank you @kiki047 your post was so kind and is exactly how I’m feeling.
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
@misshelen86 I’m so sorry for the not-so-great experience at your HSG and the uncertainty with all your results! Hope there are no surprises at your next appt and you get some clarity on the potential blocked tube! Like you said, just take it one day at a time...you’ve got this lady!!
@bows22 hope you get YH’s SA results soon! Sorry for the cysts & fibroids that showed on the US, but that sounds reassuring that they shouldn’t cause any issues! I have everything crossed for you this cycle...let’s move on to August together!!
No side effects (yet) from the trigger shot last night. Very happy about that! Now I need to keep telling myself that I am healthy, all our IF/RPL testing has come back normal, and I am doing everything I can to make this work.

@emeraldduchess Woohoo for doing your trigger shot girl!
@bluetickgal Sorry the last cycle didn’t work out, but glad to hear you are ready to get back into it! FX!
@inthewoods23 Ugh, so sorry. Hugs to you

@shoogapoff it sounds like your RE is listening to your concerns. Good to have a plan if this one isn't successful. I hope that helps ease some of your anxieties. .
@pom9207 that's great you were able to schedule an appt so quickly!
@emeraldduchess wooo for trigger! Truthfully I didn't pinch the skin at all the first time and it was fine. I did the second time (and didn't "unpinch" it either) and I bruised, so I don't actually know what the difference is? Maybe someone else might now lol.
@bows22
@bluetickgal FX this is your lucky cycle!
@inthewoods23 dammit AF, why you gotta be like that? I'm so sorry. .

@inthewoods23 -
Ladies who have done the trigger, does you RE tell you to test it out of your system? Mine hasn't said anything about that.

@meri-mac love the nerdier wardrobe! MH has maintained my nerd level having grown up with 4 brothers I don’t think it could get too much more. Good luck on the ER tomorrow!
@mvt2003 Yay for good news on the insurance!
@feather_heather 7AA wowzer! Go embaby go! And 8 yay!
@ramzlau I love visitng TeePublic and similar sites for nerdwear. They are so many options and they are really comfy
AFM, I am drinking my tea out of my unicorn mug, and wearing my narwhal socks. I figure the more happy/magical vibes today, the better!! 🦄🌈💜
Guys, I forgot to switch my progesterone gel to the morning yesterday (day after transfer) and instead took it at night. Remembered to switch to morning this morning. I'm freaking out. Please tell me this is okay. I didn't technically miss a dose, just forgot to switch to the morning
@meri-mac Thinking of you today!
@emeraldduchess Love it!
