@um_thor ugh stomach viruses while pregnant are awful! Glad you can keep fluids down. As long as you’re peeing you should be ok. I had a horrible stomach virus when I was 35 weeks with DS, and trying to get my fat, pregnant butt off the couch to run to the bathroom was terrifying.
Bit of a brag (but this never happened with my first) if I go pee right before bed, I am still able to sleep the entire night! I will be 24 weeks tomorrow
Changing sides in the middle of the night is a production now. Like, rotate slowly on to back but don’t hang out there too long because RLP then roll on to other side but not too far or your bump and organs feel squashed. Position appropriately. Then get up because you have to pee desperately of course. Reposition...
@jkeepers87 mine is always worse in the hot weather and it was fine this summer! I've noticed a small patch on a couple of my fingers known though Argh
@kjeepers87 Mine spread to my face during this pregnancy. Ugh! I read online that most oatmeal-based over-the-counter eczema creams are pregnancy safe, so I got one off Amazon and have been trying it. I'd like to think that it is slowly lightening and receding.
I've officially had to swap my wedding ring for a miscellaneous (bigger) ring I found in my jewelry box. Normally I take off my wedding ring to shower, but for a month now it's been getting harder to take on and off so I've just been leaving it on. I was afraid to let it get to the point where it wouldn't come off!
@malloryfrommn I took my wedding ring off when I was pregnant with my first son about 7 years ago. It’s never fit the same since! ☹️ I only wear my engagement ring anymore.
@brookert615 I’m so sorry to hear that you have to get your engagement ring cut off!! Hopefully for some random reason you can get it off before Wednesday!
@jvk2012 Haha! We share, but it's mostly me eating unfinished toddler food while arguing with him that I get to eat it if he doesn't...
Stymptom: I've got hardcore waddle today. Idk if it's RLP or pelvic girdle or sciatic or a combo, but none of it was helped by all out sprints or kipping practice this morning. I feel like my hips are just flopping open and messing up my spine and alignment all of a sudden. Like I know I had some relaxin going, but suddenly everything is jello and my hips and low back are done. I keep saying "I really need to stop running"...
@brookert615 Oh no!! I'm so sorry to hear about your engagement ring.
@malloryfrommn Me too. I'm wearing one of those silicone rings that athletes wear. My husband isn't a big fan of it, but for some silly reason, I feel better wearing a ring.
@craftywitch I def get the waddle extra on running days. I’ve cut down to just a mile running on run days, and any mileage beyond that is walked. And this weekend I went on a pretty tame hike, and felt über-waddley after just an hour. You’re a beast getting in sprints! Good luck with the pains and aches!
This pelvic pain is no joke! I stay pretty active, and on my extra active days I definitely feel like I come home and just waddling around everywhere for the rest of the day. The weirdest part is it’s worse at night just switching from sleeping on one side to the other. Btw anybody else already having trouble breathing/catching their breathe doing practically nothing? I’ll be laying in bed and just feel so desperate for air & lightheaded 😭 I do have asthma that comes up during pregnancy but even my inhaler hasn’t been helping during these little spells.
It's getting harder and harder to do the normal activities I do with my 2 year old. Even having her sit on my lap while I rock in the rocking chair and read bedtime stories is becoming difficult with my growing belly. I worry a little about bath time, too. Right now I have one of those kneeling and elbow pad set ups and I just lean over the tub to play and wash her. I'm wondering how long my belly is going to allow me to do that.
I’m trying to stay active but the other day I went to prenatal yoga for the first time and woke up the next day with a pulled muscle type of pain in my lower right side! It finally faded throughout the day. I guess even yoga was pushing it too hard? In other workout news, I can barely make it 10 minutes on the elliptical without having to stop to pee. But whatever, I’m patting myself on the back for even being at the gym!
@lanie1000 yes, it starts to get difficult after a while. I get to a point where they just can’t sit on my lap anymore and have to sit next to me. For bath time, can you just get in with her? You can soak/rest in the bath after a long day while she plays.
Having what feels like a spasm/twitch in my uterus all day. Not the same as the times I have felt the baby...and no rhyme or reason to it. Might call the doc tomorrow to ask about it.
Took off one ring the other night so I’m with you all.
@jvk2012 and @daffodil_shoe I called the nursing line and they ended up bringing me in just because I don’t think the nurse had any thoughts. Doc chalked it up to random uterus expansion or muscles and said she could rule things out but didn’t know what it was. It’s happening less often today but still happening sometimes. I heard the heartbeat which was reassuring. I am a little anxious though just because
@chipsnsalsa20 yes, I get winded SO easily. I climbed two flights of stairs the other day and had to take a minute or two to catch my breath at the top!
I think I'm finally feeling some baby flutters! I noticed it a bit yesterday after I had a piece of my "it's a girl" cake and just now after some hot chocolate. ETA: told H I was feeling what I think are baby flutters again and said it felt like much softer belly rumbles. And his response was "haha baby is farting!" I married a 12 year old I guess. 🤣
@babyroma that made me laugh so hard! Glad you are feeling the baby flutters, that is very exciting. She will be kicking you in the ribs before you know it.
@babyroma Yay! that's so exciting!! I'm loving the movement so far. I keep wanting my husband to feel him kick, but unless baby is near the top of my uterus (above my belly button), I still can't feel him from the outside. I have an anterior placenta, but I think the main culprit is my layer of fluffiness.
@lanie1000 i cant wait for H to feel it either!! He's already so sweet to baby. He kisses my belly before I go to sleep. I definitely understand the fluff bit!! After seeing the US monday and learning baby girl is breech right now, inwas wondering if that maybe is why I wasn't feeling much before. I wasn't sure where I should be feeling things lol

My wedding band came off but my engagement ring is stuck. We tried every trick in the book and I have to get it cut off at the jeweler on Wednesday 😥.
