Re: October Symptoms

  • This morning I was sitting on the floor in an awkward position changing DD and I pulled something in my hip. Now my hip, leg, and neck on my left side hurt. Not sure if that’s pregnancy related or because I’m old lol.

  • My SI joint is all out of wack. I've been trying to loosen up my hamstrings to help out but seeing a chiropractor.

    @jvk2012 I'm sure it's pregnancy related we aren't old yet ;)

  • 21 weeks here and feeling pretty good! About died from pain last night after I moved too quickly during my sleep. It hurt so bad and I was pretty sure I tore an organ or something. My right hip has been bugging me but I had a chiro appt and will do another follow up this weekend. Also have my first prenatal massage tomorrow, so I hope that helps loosen things up also.
  • @craftywitch Too funny about baby being super active! Hope your BH chill out!

@ibabyloveb87 Totally with you on that!

@rikiteacup Oh my goodness! How cool you have all of those cookies to yourself! LOL

  • @rikiteacup that sounds delightful! Yum!
  • @craftywitch I am also feeling really big. And feeling like I’m eating a ton. I gotta long way to go here, so I’m getting a little nervous 😬
  • I just started getting pelvic pain (feels like my pelvis is being split in two whenever I walk). I had pretty bad SPD with my first pregnancy. It got so painful that some nights I had to crawl up the stairs just to get to bed or sleep downstairs on the couch. Eventually my MFM ordered a disabled placard for me to limit movement. I was optimistic that I wouldn't have to deal with that this go around since I'm 22 weeks and it started around 18 weeks last time. Ugh...hoping the pain subsides.
  • @optimism3 umm yeah. October is super close ha!

  • @lanie1000 I can relate!! I didn’t have any pelvis pain with my first! My second felt like my pelvis was going to split in two for the last 15ish weeks. I’m just about 19 weeks and I’m already starting to have some discomfort! It is an awful feeling!
AFM I have had a cough for the past 4 weeks and I’ve had a splitting headache most days. And to add to the fun my throat has been so sore the last 2 days.
  • I've still had some minor lower abdominal aches this last week or so. It seems like could just be my insides stretching. Or maybe some longer bouts of RLP?
I really only notice it if I've been sitting too long, clench my legs (like when I sneeze and try to not pee myself haha) or sometimes when I'm tossing and turning in the night.
  • @leksiL I wasn't sure exactly if that's what it is. Most everything I've heard it only lasts a couple seconds whereas mine could be a few minutes.
  • @therealbitts mine don’t really hurt but they’ve become more sensitive again.

  • Argh, I am sick. All I have is a bad sore throat and pain all over my body. No fever. I feel like death. I got a supply of Tylenol and lozenges and can't wait to leave work, go home and rest.

  • @rikiteacup Noooo....that's how my cold started a few weeks ago. I still have a pretty bad cough 3 weeks later. I hope you're feeling better soon!

@kbrinks2 Yes!! I'm hoping this is going to be milder than it was before. I need our pelvis' to hold up!

@leksiL I'm on team backpack now, too. It's strange for me because my workbag has always been an over-the-shoulder tote style. It's taken me a while to get used to feeling like a high school kid again.
  • This isn’t a symptom, but I was looking in the mirror and found my first ever stretch mark. I didn’t get any with my daughter five years ago.

Sorry to hear @rikiteacup :disappointed: get well soon!

@craftywitch and @therealbitts also feeling very large over here too. How is this only half way? :(

  • @Swiftlet @craftywitch @therealbitts +1 on feeling large. If the pregnancy photos of my mom are any indication, I am going to be getting much larger yet!😳
  • @rikiteacup I am so sorry you are sick! Take care of yourself, and I hope it passes soon.
  • I'm laying in bed and can feel my pulse in my stomach.  It kind of freaked me out for a second but I'm reading it's not unheard of in pregnancy since more blood is getting pumped there.  Anybody else ever experience it?

@babyroma Yup and in my throat too sometimes, which my OB assured me is very normal since the heart is shifted out of its usual position.

    So it would seem.
  • @babyroma, I often can feel my pulse in my stomach, pregnant or not.
  • I can feel my blood pumping too, especially when I am laying really still trying to feel kicks. I don’t like it - it almost makes me feel nauseous!
  • +1 for feeling my pulse all over!
  • Last night I woke myself up several times because I was stretching out my leg and it felt like a muscle cramp was about to start but I was able to back off the stretch in time. Do not want regular charlie horses yet!
  • @jvk2012 wait is that a common thing in pregnancy??? I had one not too long ago and it messed me up for like 2 days.
  • Definitely had my first pregnancy related Charley Horse a couple of mornings ago. My calf is still sore from it. Thankfully, I have a massage booked for Saturday.

As a slight aside, I used to get Charley Horses in my foot all the time, but I don't remember them causing so much pain after the fact as this one has.
  • Charley’s horses are the worst! I got them so often my first pregnancy. I had forgotten about them this time around 🙈
