What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?):
How are things going?:
Any questions?:
GTKY: What’s something non-fertility related that you’re looking forward to in the next month?
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
Diagnosis (if you've been): Unexplained IF and RPL, possible LP defect/low progesterone
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO (although FF keeps wanting to give me dotted crosshairs despite negative OPKs. I set it straight, though!)
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): TI with progesterone post-O.
How are things going?: I am doing better now than I was two weeks ago, that's for sure. I wish I could stop dreading the holidays. For now at least, DH and I are feeling more relaxed about this cycle, probably because we know we'll have assistance next cycle.
Any questions?: Nope. I picked up my letrozole for next cycle, so it feels like $%*! just got real. Going to pick up my information packet at the clinic today, too.
GTKY: What’s something non-fertility related that you’re looking forward to in the next month? Seeing the Downton Abbey movie! I'm also ready to bake some pumpkin bread.
What are you doing this cycle? Appointment with RE on Oct 7! Just 1 more week!
How are things going? I’m in a good place right now. Trying to focus more on self-care and things I can control. I’m so excited to see what the RE has to say and hopeful we can come up with a plan.
GTKY: I’m looking forward to fall clothes.. think I will have to go shopping for a few new things. Also looking forward to fall comfort food.. stew, chilli, soup, etc. I made a big crockpot of stew yesterday, so yummy!
Me: 35 DH: 35 TTC since 9/2018
Dx: MFI 10/19- First RE visit 2/20- DH had surgery for bilateral varicoceles 7/20- IUI with 5 mg letrozole- BFN 9/20- IVF. 9 eggs retrieved, 9 mature, 8 fertilized with ICSI, 7 blasts, 4 PGT-A normal 11/20- Mock transfer/ERA 12/20- FET #1- transferred one 4AB- BFN 3/21- FET #2- transferred one 3AB- BFP! Due Dec 2021 12/21- Baby girl born!
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): I think AF is right around the corner, so we can schedule SHG as soon as that happens!
How are things going?: Doing pretty well! Had a nice weekend...started cramping & spotting a bit yesterday, which actually made me happy! So ready to get back to trying!!
Any questions?: None right now.
GTKY: What’s something non-fertility related that you’re looking forward to in the next month? Vacation is in 3 days!! We are so ready to relax on the beach for a few days!!
@kpearse99 good luck with your IUI today!! Everything is crossed for you!! 💜
@emeraldduchess glad you are feeling better! Hope you don’t need that Letrozole next month, but that’s good you have it if you do! Oh, I’m so excited about the Downton movie...we may go see it on vacation!
@misshelen86 so happy your RE appt is so close now! Hope it goes well and you feel comfortable with the plan! I’m loving your positive attitude of focusing on the things you can control! Yes to all things Fall, I’m so excited about that too!
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): FET#1
How are things going?: Well good and bad...
The good is I am super excited for my FET on Friday! And everything seems to be falling into place except... Family drama from this weekend is really taking a toll on me. Stress I don't need. Anxiety I can't handle right now. Just please if you are the praying type pray that the situation resolves itself.
Any questions?:
GTKY: What’s something non-fertility related that you’re looking forward to in the next month? I'm looking forward to the cooler fall weather. I am not a summer person at all. So bring on the hoodies!
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Clomid + trigger + IUI + progesterone
How are things going?: Big week - hematologist today, Sema4 results tonight, US / BW / RPL results / start Clomid tomorrow
Any questions?: What did others’ docs say about 1% morph? I’m thinking about asking for a second SA since DH didn’t follow directions and I’m really focused on that. I guess it doesn’t matter much since we are doing IUI, but it bothers me.
GTKY: What’s something non-fertility related that you’re looking forward to in the next month?
Honestly, it’s hard to focus on anything else, but I’ll go with Halloween.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@kpearse99 Sending you lots of mojo! @hanshotfirst77 I will keep you in my thoughts and hope the family drama stops. @bluetickgal I am hoping you get a nice, light AF so you can get off the bench and have a nice vacation! @misshelen86 A week is so close. Almost there!! @emeraldduchess Still hoping you don’t need that Letrozole, lady! Rooting you on so hard.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@emeraldduchess we're IUI buddies! Thanks for the reminder that I need to get my Letrozole soon (:. AF should be here this weekend so I'll probably be a few days ahead of you! (unless AF never comes for you!). Also, I'm glad you're doing better. This TTC thing is no joke.
@misshelen86 Omg your RE appt is soooo soon! I'm really happy that you won't have to wait longer for that. I'm with yall on the dreading holidays train. We haven't even thought about what we're doing yet because every option seems so triggering.
@bluetickgal yay for AF!! I feel like you've been waiting forever, so glad you can actually schedule that SHG!
@hanshotfirst77 FET FRIDAY!! eeep that's so exciting. I'm sorry for the family drama, that's terrible timing but I will be thinking about you and hoping things resolve quickly. ♥️
Diagnosis: unexplained
Status: WFAF. I probably O'd in the middle of my work trip, meaning we don't have a chance with TI this cycle, but AF should be here soon! Already my PMSy sore boobs have started (on like CD17. Cheers, body 😑).
What are you doing this cycle? Nada, but Letrozole + IUI + trigger + Progesterone next cycle.
How are things going? Up and down, as always. I'm feeling inexplicably hopeless about treatment, and I know that's ridiculous. But I had a great trip to Morocco last week! We didn't have much time that wasn't actually working, but it was a great country with very big-hearted people. I hope to go back and see more touristy things at some point.
Any questions? Did I miss any thing good last week?? 😆
GTKY: Hmmm, well October might be my favorite month. I love changing leaves, Halloween, the whole deal.
Decided to finally come over to this board too, since I'm officially moving on to IVF.
Diagnosis (if you've been): Endometriosis, [borderline] PCOS, and unexplained infertility
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): Benched for the next two weeks, so I guess a long WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Hopefully starting IVF in two weeks. I had a follow up appointment with my RE on Friday morning, and we're moving on to IVF, as long as...(I think this may need to be a TW, but please let me know if it does not):
...my insurance approves it. They are putting in the claim today, so I should know hopefully by the end of the week if we're a go. I live in MA and infertility and IVF are a covered service under my health insurance. The doctor said with most insurances you just need to have 3 failed IUI's and then they'll approve IVF. My 2nd IUI was cancelled because my follicles kept going up and down in size, but the doctor said that usually the insurance will still count that as a failed cycle. So waiting to see how that all plays out.
Until then, I'm on birth control for the next two weeks. They want to put my cycle on pause while they get everything figured out and all the meds lined up and ready to go. I'm nervous and bummed that it has come to this, but excited because I know our chances are so much better with IVF.
How are things going?: Alright. Got a lot of crap going on in my personal life on top of IF, but I'm pushing thru.
Any questions?: Not yet, I'm sure I will though once I finally get the green light.
GTKY: What’s something non-fertility related that you’re looking forward to in the next month? My birthday is on Thursday, and my husband got us tickets to the Lion King on Broadway for Friday night! I've seen the show before [like 12 years ago] and it is AMAZING! So I'm looking forward to seeing it again!
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): letrozole + trigger + IUI
How are things going?: ok. I waiver between positive and back to my negative Nancy self. I’ve already started trying to plan the holidays in case I’m not KU because I’m scared of either my one cousin announcing baby #2 or another cousin who got married in 2018 announcing (I don’t even know if they’re trying, it’s just an irrational fear). I hate living this way but it’s at least one way to protect myself from triggers since things like Saturday’s gym experience catch me off guard.
Any questions?: nope.
GTKY: What’s something non-fertility related that you’re looking forward to in the next month? My SILs wedding on 10/19, and my parents will be in town for it so we’re going to this orchard/winery the next day. I just hope it’s below 90 by then 😓
@kpearse99 I hope everything goes great this morning!
@emeraldduchess I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better. I totally understand about the holidays. Yay for picking up letrozole and moving to the next step!
@misshelen86 yum, yes to the fall comfort food! What kind of stew did you make? I’m so happy you’re doing better and that your appt is so soon!
@bluetickgal I’m glad AF is finally making an appearance so you can move forward with testing! Where are you guys going for vacation?
@hanshotfirst77 I’m so excited for your FET! I hope the family drama calms down soon, sorry you have to deal with that on top of everything else.
@NYTino24 wow big week! I hope everything goes well for you.
@jennifer_louise ahhh I missed you! I’m glad your trip went well! I’m hopeful for your IUI next cycle since we’re both going to magically get KU on #1 right?? As for what you missed- other than a WONDERFUL Peggy and some exciting next steps in the IF board, it was business as usual here (minus you obviously, which was sad)
@feather_heather sorry to see you here. I’m not sure that needs a TW though. When you say IVF in 2 weeks do you just mean starting all the meds and such? Happy early birthday, I hope you guys have a blast at Lion King!
@b_1029 - Yes, hopefully starting all the meds and injections and stuff in two weeks. If all goes to plan, we'll be doing egg retrieval at the end of October.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Waiting on H to do SA then I start letrozole.
How are things going?: In limbo, till H gets his test done. He`s dragging his heels about it which is very annoying after the poking and prodding I`ve been through this summer.
Any questions?:
GTKY: What’s something non-fertility related that you’re looking forward to in the next month? Thanksgiving (Canada) We have a group of friends coming for the weekend.
@emeraldduchess I feel the same way about the holidays right now, so I'm with you. I'm glad you're feeling ok about next steps, keeping FX for you for IUI!!!
@misshelen86 So happy that your RE appt is coming up so soon!!!!
@bluetickgal Have a great time on vacation! You deserve it!!
@hanshotfirst77 FX for FET!!!! Also I am so not a summer person, I totally agree fall is where it's at! Keeping good thoughts for you that the drama resolves and you don't have to deal with it!
@NYTino24 Totally agree, it's hard to focus on much else but this for me right now.
@feather_heather I hope they don't enforce that 3 IUI thing for you!!! That reminds me, I forgot to ask my insurance about that policy last week, should probably call them back. I do have a lifetime cap at 6 IVF cycles, which I'm hopeful I won't need all of those.
@b_1029 *Hugs* you know I want to smack that gym guy, right?
DX: MFI IVF Cycle #1 February 2020 4 embryos frozen, 1 fresh transfer = CP FET #1 Natural Cycle March 2020 CXL'd due to Covid-19 FET #1 Natural Cycle June 2020 - CP #2 FET #2 Natural Cycle July 2020 - BFP!!!!!! Beta #1 = 273
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Testing will probably start by the end of this week, am currently spotting. I feel mixed emotions about that.
How are things going?: OK, it was a hard TTC weekend for me. I'm hoping I feel better once testing actually starts, and it's the living in limbo that's getting to me.
Any questions?: I'm hoping to figure out what I should expect in terms of plan timing - how quickly do doctors' offices generally turn around the results of initial fertility testing? Should I expect to be potentially doing something next cycle if this cycle is testing?
GTKY: What’s something non-fertility related that you’re looking forward to in the next month? I have 2 5ks that I'm hoping the weather will be nice and cool for! I'm sick of hot weather running, and am ready for the sweet spot of 60 degrees for the week it will be here.

I DID IT!!!! Ahhhhh!!!! IUI #1 is done! And now we wait. 😬🤗🙌🏼
Everything went so smoothly. I barely felt anything at all and DH’s swimmers were great after the wash! 40 million and 80% motility! I’m back at home with my hips in the air for good measure 😂
Thanks for all of the good luck wishes this morning and all of the advice leading up, gals!!! It means the world to me!
@Stargazer1lily I’m sorry YH is dragging his feet. It’s so annoying that they do that... it’s not hard for them!
@b_1029 I can now join you in the TWW!! Your October plans sound awesome!! I wanna go to a winery!
@feather_heather I am so sorry you’ve found yourself here 😔 and having to go down the IVF path. I hope all of the testing puts you on a clear and easy path to getting KU quickly.
@jennifer_louise I have those ups and downs often too. It’s a vicious cycle, isn’t it? I love hearing that your trip was amazing though!
@nytino24 such a big week for you!! I hope the results of everything come back good and that you react well to the Clomid!
@emeraldduchess I’m so glad you both are feeling more relaxed this cycle! This relaxed feelings are few and far between for me so i take them every chance i get!
@misshelen86 one more week!!! It’s so close!! I’m glad you’re taking care of yourself! You’re right, self care is so important!
@bluetickgal I am so so glad AF is finally about to make her appearance for you! You have waited long enough!!
@hanshotfirst77 holy crap Friday will be here before you know it! I am so excited for you!!!

@bluetickgal I'm so glad AF is on her way! Onto the SHG!
@jennifer_louise I'm so sorry about impending AF but so glad that Morocco was so great!
@b_1029 Fx so hard for you! I feel you on the paranoia about announcements at events. I did the same thing at this most recent family event and literally every other one.
@feather_heather I'm sorry your IUI's failed, Hope you can start IVF soon! If you have any questions I just went through the whole stims/retrieval process in August/Sept.
@hanshotfirst77 nobody got time for family drama! Shoo drama shoo! I hope your FET goes well this week! So exciting!
@NYTino24 when we did the SA with my OB, he called it a yellow flag and my RE seems to consider it the same. It's not a definitive reason to be struggling to conceive and I'm guessing that's due to the fact that abnormal sperm can fertilize eggs.
@b_1029 after today our temps here are supposed to drop into the 50s. Hopefully you get some of the cooler weather too! 90s in October sounds brutal.
@Stargazer1lily I'm pretty sure everyone here has had a DH that drags their feet on the SA. So lame.
@mvt2003 If I remember correctly, I think it took a week to 2 weeks to get all the results back for my BW and we didn't do anything that cycle. Most things need to start at a fresh cycle. If timing is right it can happen pretty soon, otherwise you're waiting a few weeks for your current cycle to end before they do any treatment.
@kpearse99 so glad things went great with the IUI!
Diagnosis (if you've been): unexplained or MFI
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): loss testing and SHG on Friday
How are things going?: This past week has shown me that I definitely did not know what depression really was. I should be more upbeat but any time I think "I should be pregnant right now but I'm not" I get this sense of hopelessness and I just cry. I probably cried 5 times this weekend, or maybe that was just yesterday. It's not "I don't want to get out of bed" bad, but I definitely don't feel like doing anything. I'm hoping in the coming weeks and months to get some support for my emotions. Something I probably should have done a long time ago.
I'm also worried that another abnormal SHG means ANOTHER hysteroscopy. 😭 I can't keep doing this.
Any questions?: Not really
GTKY: What’s something non-fertility related that you’re looking forward to in the next month? My friend's wedding on Saturday. DH and I may or may not be taking a road trip to visit the Tennessee Aquarium this month. We may push that into November. It will be a much needed long weekend!

@emeraldduchess The holidays is a tough time for all of us. We will all get through it together though. That is great that you are feeling better about next cycle. When the meds come in, it really does make things real. Good luck! @misshelen86 One week to go! Really close now. @bluetickgal Hope AF arrives soon and that all is clear with the SHG. Hopefully you are able to schedule it without any issues. Jealous that you get to hit the beach soon. Enjoy! @hanshotfirst77 I will be sending you all the positive vibes that I can. Hope that the family stress gets resolved and that you are stress free going into your FET on Friday. Rooting for you! @NYTino24 Wow you really do have a big week ahead of you! Good luck with it all. We have low morph. We were recommended to go straight to IVF with ICSI. We have other underlying issues such as an acrosome defect which causes some other complications. But with just low morph, ICSI eliminates those issues. If you have questions let me know. I think asking for a second SA is reasonable. @jennifer_louise Sounds like your work trip was good, although I am sure some more down time would have been nice. Still great that you get to travel for work and to such exotic places too. Sorry that it meant missing this cycle though @feather_heather Welcome! Sorry to see that you journey has brought you here, but you will find these ladies to be very supportive. That is really awesome that you get some IVF coverage. Hope its all smooth sailing through that process and you are able to keep moving forward. @b_1029 We can be negative Nancy together. I had a really rough weekend too. I got you girl! @Stargazer1lily Light a fire under him and get him moving. I say that, but I totally understand the frustration. @mvt2003 Testing is a good step forward. Take it one test at a time as they can take time in regards to scheduling etc. Good luck. @kpearse99 Whoop whoop! Good luck!! Everything crossed for you. @inthewoods23 Oh friend, my heart breaks for you. The emotions that we go through are so hard to explain to people that have not been there. I shed tears with you this weekend. I truly hope that your HSG is all clear and that it gives you some relief.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): RE appt on Wednesday
How are things going?: Well there must have been something in the air because this weekend was rough. Wrok was hectic last week so I just could not catch up and participate, so hopefully I can keep up this week. But the weekend, MH and discussed what we could potentially have to face in our appointment on Wednesday, and lets just say it did not go well. We are not on the same page, we have some serious stuff that needs to be talked out and I having a hard time seeing it from his side. And I don't believe that he sees it from mine. I will put this in a spoiler with a general TW:
Because of our dx, we have had the possibility of a donor thrown in the mix. We discussed this a couple months back and had agreed that we would do a 50/50 with a donor. And whichever eggs made it, we would freeze and use. Since he already had a living child from a previous relationship, I felt that he was understanding of this and supportive of me having the chance of having the same. Fast forward to this weekend, and now he is reluctant and is not comfortable with it. I am so angry with him. I feel like he is being selfish and taking this opportunity away from me. More discussions to come, but for now I am just extremely upset with him that he has reacted the way that he has.
Any questions?:
GTKY: What’s something non-fertility related that you’re looking forward to in the next month? Canadian thanksgiving. MH going away for a week. See above spoiler! ha!
@inthewoods23 so, so many hugs to you, friend. I don't blame you one bit for feeling the way you do. IF is hell. I hope you can get the support that you need very soon.
@hanshotfirst77 UGH, I am so sorry about the family drama. It's the worst kind because you can't remove yourself from it, ever. Keeping everything crossed for your FET Friday!
@misshelen86 so excited for your appointment next week! I'm glad you feel like you are in a good place. So important to take care of yourself.
@bluetickgal have a fantastic vacation! Is it bad that I already feel like I need a vacation and it's only the fourth week of school?
@jennifer_louise welcome back! I'm glad you had a such a great work trip. You missed a peach of a Peggy. Ha.
@NYTino24 I don't think it can hurt to do a second SA if your DH didn't follow directions.
@feather_heather I'm so sorry your IUIs didn't work. FX that you won't have to wait forever for your insurance to approve IVF.
@Stargazer1lily my DH dragged his heels on getting his SA done, too. I will say though, he felt really bad about that after he saw all the scans and testing they did on me (I think watching my hycosy freaked him out big time).
@b_1029 OMG I hear you on the holiday announcement fear. DH's cousin did a Thanksgiving announcement/gender reveal last year and I am SO glad I wasn't there. The holidays are hard enough without having an extra reminder of what we don't have.
@mvt2003 your RE will probably want to do all testing before meeting again to review results and come up with a plan. It might take a cycle or two because like other said, some tests have to be done on specific cycle days (CD3 bloodwork, scans are usually done between day 5 and 9). For us it took 2 cycles, but that's because I couldn't get my hycosy done until after school let out for the summer. The good news is that they probably won't make you stop trying while waiting for results.
@kpearse99 SO happy it went well this morning! FX for the best news soon!
@nitnat007 I’m so sorry you’re having a tough time with YH. I’m sure it’s incredibly frustrating and I hope he comes back to the initially agreed upon plan. @inthewoods23 You are not alone. It’s okay to cry and stream about how much it sucks. I had a random cry yesterday morning. It didn’t make me feel any better, but at least I got it off my chest.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@emeraldduchess I sure hope yall put that Peggy into place and that at least one of you got a warning! Lol
@Stargazer1lily as PPs said, yeah, all our hubbies kinda suck at this infertility thing. Personally, MH was so weird about SA. I kept nagging him to go in and I didn't even know he actually had until I got the results! Wth.
@b_1029 hi friend! I missed you guys too. I so totally know what you mean about being on edge for KU announcements. It sucks to be so anxious about something that should make me happy. For me:
I'm so worried that my 40y/o SIL who got married this summer is going to announce. I mean, obviously I should be happy for her to get KU, but I will feel so incredibly hurt. I'm not sure how to avoid my in laws all holiday season long...
@kpearse99 yay! Those are great numbers and I hope one IUI is all you need!
@inthewoods23 so many hugs, friend. 💜 I wish so much you didn't have to feel like this. Hopefully your SHG comes back all clear and you won't have to worry about that at least. You have so many ladies rooting for you here!!
@nitnat007 so sorry you and YH aren't on the same page. I hope you can talk him around for sure. Just our of curiosity, does 50/50 donor mean half of the embies would be genetically his?
@mvt2003 sorry for the hard and triggering weekend. Sounds like we should have one big pity party over here! I really hope testing brings you a path forward, because it definitely sucks.
Hematology report was normal. Genetic results below. We don’t have anything that both of us tested positive for. *TW MC discussed*

@nitnat007 I'm so sorry about not being on the same page as your H especially since you guys were before and now he's changing his mind. I hope with more discussion you can get back in agreement. Would this be using donor sperm and eggs or just sperm?
@NYTino24 That's great your test results are all normal. And no overlapping statuses is also really good. Fx that this clomid cycle does the trick!
Thank you everyone for all the support/well wishes regarding my upcoming FET and the family drama. More details in SB
Long story short things are looking better. I was able to make some different arrangements for my FET so that none of these issues will have any affect on it. So that is a huge relief. And I am also generally feeling better and more positive about it. I don't want to get too detailed here about the specifics but I've decided that if anyone does not want to be supportive of me in this then that is their loss. I can't let that negativity in. Of course I can be negative all on my own lol But for the next few days at least I am trying to be all positive.
@hanshotfirst77 you are 100% correct about it being THEIR loss. You have to do what’s best and right for YOU and your family. When it comes to something major life decisions for you and your family then you and YH get to decide what’s best and those that aren’t on board get to miss out then. Not the other way around. It’s a hard lesson to learn, and one I didn’t learn until a few years ago after a lifetime of putting others before myself, but once you learn it life is THAT much better. I’m proud of you for realizing that if they aren’t on board it’s crappy for them.. not for you. You do you! 💜💜
@NYTino24 that’s great news about your test results and not having any genetic results that you are both carriers for. I’m curious to know what your RE thinks/does/says about that one.

@kpearse99 Me too. I technically have the non-classic mild form due to having 2 copies of it, but I don’t have the symptoms. It’s actually pretty rare and I was given info for local geneticists if we want to do further testing. Babies are usually screened for it nowadays.

@NYTino24 Craziness what we find out from these tests!! I am a carrier for a very rare and horrible genetic disease called Muscle Eye Brain Disease - it's awful!! It causes muscle weakness, blindness and brain abnormalities that would only allow a baby to live until 1 - if that. Thank GOODNESS MH was not a carrier for that one too! I'm glad you don't have any symptoms of yours!

I started typing this last night and then didn’t have time to finish. Hope I didn’t miss anyone!
@NYTino24 thanks! You do have a lot going on this week...hope all goes well and you get good results across the board! Sorry, no insight on the morph...but hope it’s not a factor with the sperm wash & IUI!
@jennifer_louise thanks! Haha, it has felt like forever...but the end is in sight! So glad you had a great trip!! Fingers crossed this next cycle is it for you!!
@feather_heather sorry you have found yourself here, but fingers crossed IVF works for you! Hope you have a great birthday and enjoy the show!
@b_1029 thanks! We are going to Hilton Head...we’ve never been but have only heard great things! Sorry for the back & forth feelings...I’ve got everything crossed that this is your cycle though! Hopefully it’ll cool down for the wedding...it’s supposed to at the end of this week, just hope it stays that way!
@Stargazer1lily hope YH does his SA soon so you can move forward!
@mvt2003 thanks lady! So sorry for your weekend trigger! My OB was kind of slow to get test results to me, but the RE has been pretty good so far. I would think you should be able to start treatment the next cycle. Hope it works out for you that way!
@kpearse99 so happy the IUI went well!! Everything is crossed for you this cycle!! 💜
@inthewoods23 haha, sure come along! ☺️ So sorry for all the feels...it’s totally understandable, but I’m glad you are looking into some help. Hoping all is clear on your SHG Friday and that’s one less stress for you!
@nitnat007 thanks!! Hope your appt. goes well tomorrow! I’m sorry you and YH are not on the same page about the plan going forward...I hope he comes around though!
@emeraldduchess thanks so much! Haha, no that’s not bad at all! Do you at least have a Fall Break coming up?
@hanshotfirst77 so glad to see the positivity! Fingers crossed so hard for you!! 💜
More RPL bloodwork results. Everything was normal except the anticardiolipin antibody. They called it neutral and want to repeat it in a week. Similar thing happened 3 years ago and the first hematologist dismissed it, but MFM put me on the baby aspirin. I’ve been on and off it during AF and some of the WTO time due to bad bruising and bleeding, but I’m gonna just stay on it and deal.

I'm the worst and am finally responding to you all - sorry for the delay.
@Stargazer1lily ugh I hate how the H's act like it's such an ordeal to jizz in a cup after everything we have to go through. I hope he does the SA soon.
@mvt2003 I'm sorry you've had such a hard TTC week. hate when those hit ya out of nowhere. I think most results come in pretty quickly so depending on what CD you are and what the results are, I would assume you could get started with treatment the following cycle! When are your 5ks? Can you teach me how to run?
@kpearse99 wowwww 40 million! I thought mine was good with 16...that's amazing! So glad everything went smoothly!
@hanshotfirst77 the paranoia is so real. also - only 3 days!!!!!
@inthewoods23 ugh, I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine how you must be feeling. You know we're always here for you, but I hope you're able to get whatever support you need.
@nitnat007 I hope your RE is going/went well today! I'm so sorry for the rough time and that YH is backtracking on what he said. I hope you all are able to come to a resolution
@emeraldduchess totally agree on the holidays. Thanksgiving is where it all starts going downhill for me, and by the time Christmas rolls around I can't even look at the kids in our family where before I would be playing with them all the time.
@NYTino24 I'm glad your test results came back normal! Interesting about the antibody they found. I'm glad you're able to help address it.
@mvt2003 I answered your question in my head and somehow that didn't translate to a post in TB... opps! My whole RE process started with initial testing in the middle of June. I had an initial ultra sound at my first consultation (which was the middle of my cycle). Then I went back on CD2, beginning of July, for blood work and another ultrasound. Then on CD10 I had my HSG and more blood work, I think. And then DH did his SA in July also, as well as the genetic testing. We met with the RE to review all the test results at the end of July and came up with the plan to start Letrozole, Trigger and IUI with my next cycle in August (which we all know was a bust and I didn't O).
It was quick to get the results to all blood work, as I always got those results the same day in the afternoon, and the results of the HSG were told to me on the spot too. The genetic testing took the longest time, a few weeks, and it took a few days for the SA results to come back. My cycles being long is what took the most time and stopped us from starting sooner than we did.

Thank you so much @kpearse99 and @b_1029 I'm trying to manage my schedule and expectations appropriately haha. I'm also in my busy work season so trying to plan my work as best I can right now. (I typically schedule a month or two out, so that's why I'm trying to have it in the back of my mind!)
Also @b_1029 you can totally do a 5k! I did Couch 2 5k in 2018, and I've been consistently running ever since. I have my next 5k on the 20th then another on the 27th. I'm planning on doing a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving and I do a Christmas themed race too! I love a good theme!

@jennifer_louise Yes, that is the hope. We would inseminate half with his sperm and half with a donor and then see how they progress. Obviously any of his that make it to freeze will be used first before we would move to donor.
@hanshotfirst77 We would just be using donor sperm. At this stage the RE feels that my eggs are still of decent quality.
RE update:
Our appointment went well today. MH's SA results were pretty much a repeat of what they were this time last year. The RE was actually quite surprised how consistent they have remained. However, he does still feel that our best option (because it is impossible for them to know for sure if the sperm is the issue), would be to go with a 50/50 donor. When they asked us if we were open to that, I just looked at MH and let him answer. He was quite supportive and I know that it was difficult for him. He did ask questions though and was engaged in the process which was good. I was very proud of how he handled it all. Due to the clinic doing a shut down for the holidays, if we are unable to start a cycle by Nov 6, we will have to wait until next year. Which puts us under some pressure to get things in line, but that is currently what we are working towards. I needed to have a CMV test done and based on that we will have the info we need in order to proceed with the donor sperm purchase and then start a cycle. After waiting for so long I now feel like everything is going to be a mad dash! Although, tonight I will take some time and talk to MH and make sure that his feels are recognized in all of this too.
Re: IF Testing & Treatment week of 9/30-10/6
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO (although FF keeps wanting to give me dotted crosshairs despite negative OPKs.

@emeraldduchess I'm glad you're feeling better, and I also hear you on the holidays. I am dreading them as well.

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW
I just hope it’s below 90 by then 😓
@emeraldduchess I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better.
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle?
@jennifer_louise So happy you had a good trip!!!
@Stargazer1lily FX H does his SA soon!

@b_1029 I can now join you in the TWW!! Your October plans sound awesome!! I wanna go to a winery!
@emeraldduchess I’m so glad you both are feeling more relaxed this cycle! This relaxed feelings are few and far between for me so i take them every chance i get!
@bluetickgal I am so so glad AF is finally about to make her appearance for you! You have waited long enough!!

@kpearse99 So glad it went well today. Fx!!!!
@mvt2003 I'm sorry this weekend was so hard. My RE turned most tests around pretty quick. Maybe a few days. Hope yours is quick too.

@bluetickgal enjoy vacation! Take me with you 😆
@hanshotfirst77 nobody got time for family drama!

Sorry that it meant missing this cycle though
@feather_heather Welcome!
Diagnosis (if you've been): AMA, MFI (low morph, acrosome defect)
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW
More discussions to come, but for now I am just extremely upset with him that he has reacted the way that he has.
Any questions?:
GTKY: What’s something non-fertility related that you’re looking forward to in the next month? Canadian thanksgiving. MH going away for a week. See above spoiler! ha!
@inthewoods23 You are not alone. It’s okay to cry and stream about how much it sucks. I had a random cry yesterday morning. It didn’t make me feel any better, but at least I got it off my chest.

For me:

RE update:
Due to the clinic doing a shut down for the holidays, if we are unable to start a cycle by Nov 6, we will have to wait until next year. Which puts us under some pressure to get things in line, but that is currently what we are working towards. I needed to have a CMV test done and based on that we will have the info we need in order to proceed with the donor sperm purchase and then start a cycle.
After waiting for so long I now feel like everything is going to be a mad dash! Although, tonight I will take some time and talk to MH and make sure that his feels are recognized in all of this too.
