  • @nitnat007 I’m so sorry you’re having a tough time with YH. I’m sure it’s incredibly frustrating and I hope he comes back to the initially agreed upon plan.
@inthewoods23 You are not alone. It’s okay to cry and stream about how much it sucks. I had a random cry yesterday morning. It didn’t make me feel any better, but at least I got it off my chest.

  • @nitnat007 I am so sorry that your DH is backtracking on what you had originally agreed on. I hope that you guys can talk through it.
  • @jennifer_louise I wish H would surprise me but he`s got terrible anxiety about getting the job done at a clinic.
  • @Stargazer1lily can he get the sample at home and bring it in? I think some clinics do that although maybe not all...
  • @jennifer_louise No, we actually live 3 hours from the clinic. We may have to do an overnighter there is a nice hotel two doors away.
  • @hanshotfirst77 you are 100% correct about it being THEIR loss. You have to do what’s best and right for YOU and your family. When it comes to something major life decisions for you and your family then you and YH get to decide what’s best and those that aren’t on board get to miss out then. Not the other way around. It’s a hard lesson to learn, and one I didn’t learn until a few years ago after a lifetime of putting others before myself, but once you learn it life is THAT much better. I’m proud of you for realizing that if they aren’t on board it’s crappy for them.. not for you. You do you! 💜💜

@NYTino24 that’s great news about your test results and not having any genetic results that you are both carriers for. I’m curious to know what your RE thinks/does/says about that one.

  • @kpearse99 Me too. I technically have the non-classic mild form due to having 2 copies of it, but I don’t have the symptoms. It’s actually pretty rare and I was given info for local geneticists if we want to do further testing. Babies are usually screened for it nowadays.

  • @NYTino24 Craziness what we find out from these tests!! I am a carrier for a very rare and horrible genetic disease called Muscle Eye Brain Disease - it's awful!! It causes muscle weakness, blindness and brain abnormalities that would only allow a baby to live until 1 - if that.  Thank GOODNESS MH was not a carrier for that one too!
I'm glad you don't have any symptoms of yours!

  • I'm the worst and am finally responding to you all - sorry for the delay.

@Stargazer1lily ugh I hate how the H's act like it's such an ordeal to jizz in a cup after everything we have to go through. I hope he does the SA soon.

@mvt2003 I'm sorry you've had such a hard TTC week. hate when those hit ya out of nowhere. I think most results come in pretty quickly so depending on what CD you are and what the results are, I would assume you could get started with treatment the following cycle! When are your 5ks? Can you teach me how to run?

@kpearse99 wowwww 40 million! I thought mine was good with 16...that's amazing! So glad everything went smoothly!

@hanshotfirst77 the paranoia is so real. also - only 3 days!!!!!

@inthewoods23 ugh, I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine how you must be feeling. You know we're always here for you, but I hope you're able to get whatever support you need.

@nitnat007 I hope your RE is going/went well today! I'm so sorry for the rough time and that YH is backtracking on what he said. I hope you all are able to come to a resolution <3

@emeraldduchess totally agree on the holidays. Thanksgiving is where it all starts going downhill for me, and by the time Christmas rolls around I can't even look at the kids in our family where before I would be playing with them all the time.

@NYTino24 I'm glad your test results came back normal! Interesting about the antibody they found. I'm glad you're able to help address it.

  • @mvt2003 I answered your question in my head and somehow that didn't translate to a post in TB... opps!
My whole RE process started with initial testing in the middle of June.  I had an initial ultra sound at my first consultation (which was the middle of my cycle).  Then I went back on CD2, beginning of July, for blood work and another ultrasound. Then on CD10 I had my HSG and more blood work, I think.  And then DH did his SA in July also, as well as the genetic testing. We met with the RE to review all the test results at the end of July and came up with the plan to start Letrozole, Trigger and IUI with my next cycle in August (which we all know was a bust and I didn't O).

It was quick to get the results to all blood work, as I always got those results the same day in the afternoon, and the results of the HSG were told to me on the spot too.  The genetic testing took the longest time, a few weeks, and it took a few days for the SA results to come back.  My cycles being long is what took the most time and stopped us from starting sooner than we did.

  • Thank you so much @kpearse99 and @b_1029 I'm trying to manage my schedule and expectations appropriately haha. I'm also in my busy work season so trying to plan my work as best I can right now. (I typically schedule a month or two out, so that's why I'm trying to have it in the back of my mind!)

Also @b_1029 you can totally do a 5k! I did Couch 2 5k in 2018, and I've been consistently running ever since. I have my next 5k on the 20th then another on the 27th. I'm planning on doing a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving and I do a Christmas themed race too! I love a good theme!
