EDD: 5/7 How you found out: After 8 months of irregular or nonexistent periods, I started tracking my BBT and seeing a reproductive acupuncturist. I really did not think I’d get pregnant this cycle, but my period was a day late and my temp was still high so I tested and here I am! Hobbies, Job, Etc. I am a user researcher for a tech company. I love hiking and spending time with family. Spouse, Partner, Kids, etc: Been with DH 13 years, married for 7. We have a 2.5 year old son, a dog, and a cat Anything you’d like us to know: I lurked, but did not participate in the BMB for my son, so I’m really excited to get to know all you ladies!
EDD: 5/20 How you found out: I have been tracking my cycle and started testing 7 DPO, got a faint line on Sunday, and BFP yesterday. Hobbies: I'm a SAHM and I like to cook, bake, spend time outside, read and workout. Spouse Partner Kids: DH and I have been married for 6 years and we have a 3 year old DS and 2 silly mutts. **TW**
Anything else you'd like us to know: Before DS I miscarried twice and my husband and I are hesitant to get excited until we are out of the first tri. With DS my husband was so worried that we did not really enjoy that pregnancy (he would not discuss it at all until DS was born, no names, no planning, didnt come to appointments, nothing) and are determined to worry less and enjoy more this time.
hi everyone! I'm new to The Bump. I'm 45 years old, married to my husband for 2 years but together for 7. I'm a director of engineering at a media company. He's a digital designer. It's a second marriage for both of us and we each had 2 kids from our first marriage (a 17 year old and a 15 year old each, oddly enough). We have 4 cats (again -- we each had 2, we are a very symmetrical household, lol).
I froze my eggs 4 years ago when we had been together for a couple of years. He had a vasectomy while he was still married to his first wife, so we needed a MESA procedure to even get things going. We had 4 embryos resulting from that and after genetic testing 2 were normal. We did a FET with both of them on 9/3. It was our only shot to get pregnant and kind of a big gamble. and I got a positive beta yesterday! I go to check for doubling tomorrow.
@allie456 congratulations! I too conceived through FET and also transferred my only two viable blastocysts. It’s nerve wracking but such a relief to get that positive result! Best of luck with your hCG tests coming up. I’m due for my first ultrasound tomorrow to find out if one or both stuck 👯
Hey @kaitieb14! I recognize your username, I was only occasionally active in the N17 board and like @mamaqdubu said, everyone moved to FB so soon Glad to see you here!
@mamaqdubu Yeah CT isn’t far at all. And yes hopefully everyone sticks around here longer. I’m looking forward to building the same kind of community.
Hi! I am a first time momma. Although this is my second pregnancy. I experienced a miscarriage in July. We found out we were expecting a week ago and had a flood of mixed emotions. We were thrilled, but so scared. Every cramp I have, or pain, brings fear and we are just taking every day a step at a time. ESD is May 11, 2020! We are praying for a smooth and successful second pregnancy

I had been thinking I was going crazy with the negative tests but yesterday and today they finally came up positive! - Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I am an LCSW and work at an elementary school. Hi everyone! My EDD is May 12. My partner and I planned to start trying in August, took a test four weeks later and it was a positive!
I work in OHS for a manufacturing company. I'm artsy so I love to create. I paint, make string art and malas. My partner and I also love to hike we live near the mountains so we made sure we got into some Backcountry hiking this summer.
This is our first and we have a little dog that we love to death.
How you found out: we need a monitored/medicated cycle so I tested 14 days past trigger
Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I’m a design engineer at a foundry and right now my hobby is getting ready to move into our dream house next month 😆
Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: my husband and I are both 28 going on 29. We have a 2 year old daughter that was also conceived through fertility treatment. We have 8ish year old boxer/lab mix who is the best Craigslist purchase ever!
Anything you’d like us to know: *TW* I had a miscarriage before my DD and a miscarriage and CP this year so i am very cautiously optimistic. *end TW* I got my hCG results back from 12 DPO and they were 124. FX that Monday shows good increase!
Hey! So this baby is an unplanned surprise, but welcomed! The estimated due date is May 22nd. I am a SAHM with a 6yr boy and 3.5yr girl and a fur baby. We are smack dab in the middle of buying a new house and my son came home from school with the flu on the 10th 🤦🏻♀️. Needless to say, my daughter started with symptoms the day after my son tested positive. And I started around the same time with symptoms and actually went to the dr and tested positive myself today. The day after we found out about the flu, I was supposed to start and hadn’t by the end of the day so a friend picked up a pregnancy test for me. Sure enough those two lines popped up before the first 60 seconds had even past. So I went to the store and got a digital test to make sure. When my hubby got home from work I showed him the tests and he liked to have passed out 😂😂. We are still trying to process this surprise.
I cant really tell many people at the moment because I am at a higher risk of miscarriage due to low progesterone issues. Also dealing with PCOS and have a history of endometriosis and possible adenomyosis. We are praying that my body gets itself together and rocks this pregnancy like I did my last two. 😊
DD - May 22, 2020 - OPKs were peaking .. BBT triphasic.. HPT positive CD26 (13 DPO) - Arts & Crafts, singing, and sleeping lol I am a SAHM - married 7 yrs (together 10), I have 2 daughters from a previous marriage (16, 15), I was a surrogate and have a 7 yo autistic son with my current husband - I am cautiously excited because I have had 3 chemical pregnancies in the 6 months TTC 😬😬 awaiting blood test results and go back in on Monday for 2nd draw to check HCG is going up
Found out: I found out on Friday with a FRER. I was planning to wait until monday to test, which would have been when my period was due, but I was too impatient and tested mid-afternoon, truly believing I was not pregnant as this was our first cycle trying after removing mirena. Could hardly wait 10 minutes to tell my husband!
- Jobs/Hobbies- I am the manager of a golf course and country club, I love kayaking, camping, fishing, reading...running..
Spouse/Kids/Pets- I am 32 and have four kids. DD 14, and DS 13, 10, and 7. I was divorced in 2015 and met my DH in 2016. Engaged 2018, and married in June 2019. This will be his first and he is over the moon excited! We also have three dogs. A 9 year old rottie, a 2 year old doodle, and his five year old PITA fur factory.
Anything else: I was originally part of the August 2012 bmb, and we are still an extremely close group. Actually, one of those ladies was a bridesmaid in our June wedding!
I've been reading these for the last few days hoping I'd get a bfp. I'm also from rural NH (someone else said they were, but I'm sure I've got them beat with a 10 minute drive to the Canadian border, and our closest Walmart being in Canada) I am a stm my daughter was born May 18 and I was active in the bmb. We moved to Facebook and I was with them until last month when I bet my husband I could give up facebook. I miss them all terribly, but I'm super stubborn so I haven't been back yet.
- EDD (Estimated Due Date) 5/27 based on O date
- How you found out took a test at 10 dpo yesterday and got a faint line. Woke up at 3 am and got another faint line. I've been symptom spotting all week at every tiny twinge. My hips have been killing me, my c-section scar started hurting again, I've been getting up in motn to pee, I've been having numbing in my arms/hands, getting terrible Charlie horses and having crampy feelings. I decided either I was pregnant or something was seriously wrong with me. Most of these symptoms happened later in pregnancy last time. I haven't told my husband or anyone yet because the line is super faint. Waiting to be able to clearly see it and find a cute way of telling him.
- Hobbies, Job, Etc. My husband and I are both math teachers. He's middle school in high school. Every summer we spend in western NY working on the property he inherited 5 years ago when his father passed away. It's currently an 80 acre property though his brother is working on acquiring another 20 acres. We have turned the 1 bedroom farm house into a 3 bedroom with hopes of adding another bedroom, bathroom, and redoing the kitchen. This summer MH said the extra bedroom would be for MIL to move into, so I became more than determined to have a second child. During the school year I enjoy taking small bike rides with my daughter, going on nature walks (not so much hiking now that we don't have dogs), and watching homesteading vlogs and wishing I was them 😂
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Fur babies MH and I have been married for 2 years but we've been together for 12. He is 12 years older than me and took awhile to commit. Our daughter will be two shortly before this baby is due.
- Anything you’d like us to know 🙂 Tw mc Like many of you I'm cautiously optimistic, I had a mmc at 10 weeks before dd, and in my pregnancy with her I was told I was going to have another because of bleeding, betas not doubling, and no hb at 6.5 weeks. I'm happy to say that she was stronger than they thought and is here, but it doesn't change all the pgal brain thoughts. I'm hoping to be able to enjoy this pregnancy more, but we'll see what hacienda.
Hi all! Thought I should stop lurking and introduce myself since it feels like the news has finally sunk in!!
My EDD is May 8th, we found out a little over a week ago. My period was 4 days late but my cycle isnt always consistent so I didn't think I was actually pregnant. My husband picked up a test just in case and sure enough it was positive. Went to the walk in clinic the next day to confirm. We had planned to officially start trying in another few months but started being "less careful" in August and...here we are. This will be our first! We just got married in May so quite an exciting year for us with that and this great news. My only worry is we planned to move states later this year so not looking forward to doing that mid-pregnancy now.
I work at a university and we have an 11 year old miniature daschund who loves to sleep all day. Looking forward to chatting with you all!
Hi all! I'm new to the bump and going to be a FTM. - EDD (Estimated Due Date): May 24 - How you found out: This was our second IUI, so I tested out my trigger shot and then at around 8dpo a faint line popped up and it's been getting darker since (fingers crossed that trend continues). My first beta was at 99 on Friday, hoping for good numbers tomorrow 🤞. - Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I work in cultural heritage, and my husband works in machine learning. Hobbies include classic cars, crafting, board games, and sports. - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: we have 3 rabbits who are the most adorable little devils. - Anything you’d like us to know 🙂: My husband and I have been trying for 3 years, and have been seeing an RE for 1 year. I'm cautiously optimistic, but also very aware of everything that can go wrong - it's the nervousness of being PAIF. I'm trying very hard to enjoy being pregnant.
- EDD (Estimated Due Date): Estimated is May 15, 2020!
- How you found out: As an impulse, I took a pregnancy test last Wednesday (9/11) after being late for two days, missing some of my regular period symptoms and getting different ones like tender breasts. Since this was our first month really trying after getting my IUD removed in July, I had already been telling my husband I didn't think it would happen this month and was bracing myself to try again this month. But Wednesday morning I got the faintest line on my test and immediately called my doctor's office! They put in the blood work order and I got it done that afternoon. They said I caught it extremely early and my HCG levels are low, so we're going in tomorrow morning to see if they're rising the way they need to. But I'm feeling good since I've continued taking at home tests and they've progressively gotten darker in the last couple days.
- Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I teach violin and viola lessons fully time through a private music studio business and work part time for a local artist. I also love to garden and have loads of houseplants indoors as well. I love all things french and poetry. I'm looking forward to checking out some specific prenatal yoga since I enjoy practicing that as well.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: My husband and I married in November of last year, which is the source of my "Remarkable2018" moniker here, it was brought over from theknot. This will be our first child, my first pregnancy, everything. We are so excited!
We also have two darling cats who share our home.
- Anything you’d like us to know 🙂: Still in a state of bliss, shock, excitement, overjoyed, nervous... I'm sure I'm not the only one. We're working our way through telling our family and their response is the same - We didn't know it could happen so fast! So I've been praying over this baby, hoping all goes well and I'm so happy to be here.
- How you found out: I have very irregular cycles, and took an ovulation test last week that came up super dark, which hadn't happened at any point during the month. I tried a pregnancy test the next morning, and it was positive!
- Hobbies, Job, Etc. : I was a high school English teacher for 7 years, then switched to the corporate world, where I have been for 2. I still love working with kids though, and tutor on the side.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: DH and I have been married about 3 years, and we have a son who will be 18months old this week. We also have a crazy wheaten terrier fur baby named Wrigley who is 2, but acts like a puppy.
Hi everyone! I'm a STM and have an EDD of May 5th. I have one DS who is 20 months old. I work as a librarian and live in sunny Southern California. In my free time (ha!) I like to read, see and bake.
New momma to be here! This will be our third and last little love 💙 EDD mid/late May
I reside in NY with my hubby and two little ladies.
I work as a behavior consultant both in schools and homes so ... I'm in a panic over whether or not I can do this. I'm not even 6 weeks and feeling pretty awful. I had symptoms before I had a confirmed pregnancy!
- EDD (Estimated Due Date) - May 23 2020 (Based on LMP) - How you found out - Went to the doctor on Friday and had a negative test. Was told to wait until the next Friday and take one again, but I couldn't wait and took one on Sunday and it was positive! - Hobbies, Job, Etc. - I work as a technology consultant, so I travel a lot for work - not sure how to navigate that with first trimester symptoms . The plane this week left me severely bloated all day! - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies - My husband and I have been married about a year and a half. We have one dog, who I think must sense I'm pregnant with all the extra attention I've been getting. This will be our first kid.
- EDD (Estimated Due Date) - May 30 or June 1st, but I will be delivering between 37 and 38 weeks according to my MFM - How you found out - Ttc, so I peed on all the things. So many negatives (of course!) then a faint faint line yesterday. Comfirmed by FRER today. - Hobbies, Job, Etc. - I work as a financial advisor - I ski (though I guess not this year) swim a few times a week, and I swear laundry these days is like a full time hobby. - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies - My husband is an engineer at a plastics factory not far from our home. I have one child, age three. We have four cats and a dog. - Anything you’d like us to know 🙂 tw-
My first pregnancy was very very hard. I had HG, was in the hospital for infusions, had tachycardia, had cholestasis. He tried to come at 32 &34 weeks, i was on bed rest from 32 to 36 weeks, then almost died during delivery. Twice. Its taken a team of specialists three years to figure out what went wrong, and how to do better this time.
I have a solid game plan with my cardiologist and mfm developed prior to conception that I’m hoping I get a healing pregnancy and birth.
- How you found out: I was watching my cycle days add up, and looking back on my history knowing that it usually doesn't go that late without starting if I'm not pregnant. I gave in on cycle day 36 and tested. Yep. BFP. I was reading here tonight about many of your obsessive POAS practices and decided to see what mine looked like tonight before I said hi: Darker than control. Yep, definitely pregnant.
- Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I'm a SAHM, Jane Austen enthusiast, and lover of books and hot beverages. I've let my coffee and tea go for now because I'm paranoid, but I think about them a lot even so. I don't think I could ever give either up forever.
- Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: I'm happily married to my husband of 9 yrs. I have two boys DS#1 will be 3 in November and DS#2 is 15mos. D16 and J18 mom board graduate. Three pups, two cats. *TW*
We had a loss Feb '19 so my PGAL brain is in super high gear. It's awful awful awful trying to drown out all those thoughts.
- Anything else: I noticed at least one other person is hypothyroid, and you can count me in there. My endocrinologist told me as soon as I got pregnant I needed to go up on my levo by half so I have. We've recently moved states and I have to find all new doctors at once. I'm procrastinating that excessively. I really wish I could just call my old OB office where I know everyone and be checked out, but that's impossible. I'm going to suck it up soon and make a phone call. I know they won't want to see me yet anyway at 6wks so I'm not behind yet.
Hello everyone! My due date is May 20, 2020. I’ve been feeling pregnant for the last two weeks but kept having negative test results. I tested three days ago and had a faint line. I tested today and got a darker line. So I’m starting to really accept that it’s really happening. I work full time as a resident assistant at a senior center. I want to go to school for nursing, although I already have a degree in education. I also sew and run an Etsy shop. I have a six year old daughter. I’ve been a single mom. I’m engaged now. This will be his first child. I was on birth control but because of my migraines it is a type that is not 100% affective. But we are both very happy and excited to be bringing this baby into our family. Our family is multiracial. I’m white from the southern u.s. and he is asian from central India. I’m an older mother. I turn 37 in a few weeks. There’s going to be a lot of changes happening in my life very soon. I wanted to reach out and find a few other women that I could ground myself with and walk together through this journey.
- EDD: 05/06/2019 - How you found out: Missed period but I didn’t think too much of it due to being irregular. I was not feeling well and I decided to take a test at cycle day 40 and it was positive right away. - Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I like to crochet. I work in healthcare. - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: My husband and 1 DD. - Anything you’d like us to know: I’m happy to be here and congratulations to you all!
EDD May 15 but hoping baby bakes longer I want a Gemini - I watch my cycle pretty closely and things just seemed off so I took a test lol not that exciting - Hobbies, Job, Etc. I’m a doula and community organizer - My partner is hype as all get out - I’m definitely excited now I had a lot of anxiety when I found out because this wasn’t planned but hey if you’re messing around without a condom is it really unplanned
Hi there! Second time here but I wasn't super active in the May '16 board. - EDD (Estimated Due Date): May 18th according to last period. I am hoping this is a little off because my DD's bday is also May 18th - How you found out: my husband made a joke about me being pregnant, which got me thinking "when was my last period...." Realized I was 2 days late. Had an old pregnancy test in the closet so I checked the next morning. The stick turned positive before I was done peeing. Cue shock! - Hobbies, Job, Etc.: I used to ride horses but haven't ridden much the past year. I work in Public Health on the *TW* opioid epidemic *end TW* and also am an adjunct professor of epidemiology. - Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Furbabies: DH, DD (3.5), Dearest dog, slightly less dear DH's dog, and a relatively new cat. - Anything you’d like us to know: I'm going to get these acronyms figured out before May!
Hi! I'm Olivia. EDD May 23rd. We stopped preventing a few months ago but weren't actively tracking ovulation or anything yet. I had a dollar tree test left from last month and decided to take it Saturday night a few days before I expected my period. I fully expected it to be negative but there was a faint line (still visible in photos). On sunday I took two early response tests one digital and one regular and both showed positives. I don't go to the dr. until Oct 22nd but have taken a few more tests since and all have been positive.
This is my second pregnancy. I have a DD named Emma who is 2.5 (March 2017) I'm a SAHM. When I'm not chasing my toddler I like to binge-watch television and read. DH works night-shift. We've been married 4 years in December and together 6 yrs in two days. My daughter is a strong-willed wild redhead. She keeps us on our toes!
Hi! I don't know the acronyms but I'm 32 in Philadelphia! BFP 10 dpo (did I do that right?) So the online calculators put me at 6+5.
Had about ~3 hrs of red bleeding and 3 small clots at 4+1. Called doctor, said too early to tell. Scheduled me for 10/2 for first scan. Positive lines kept getting darker, so here I wait! Light symptoms aside from fatigue, some nipple tenderness and an aversion to chocolate milk. Hard to be excited while I'm in limbo.
@heyybritt I sympathize! we also just got married (in June) and we may be moving to a different state mid-pregnancy. It's a lot!
Hi all! I'm popping over from the April BMB because I finally got an ultrasound and I'm definitely not due in April haha.
My name is Lisa, I'm 32 and I currently live in northern Virginia. FTM and very excited!
EDD: 5/21/20? Still no official date but tracking at around 5 weeks right now. Next U/S Oct. 4.
How you found out: Been testing consistently since 8/7 (with online cheapies) and only just got my BFP on 9/10 with a FRER.
Hobbies, Job, Etc
I am an administrator for a residential adolescent eating disorder treatment center. I've been working in the field since 2011 and the people I work with are amazing. They all knew my plans to get pregnant before I even went off birth control, so they were very excited to be the first to know I got my BFP! I like to make things - pottery, jewelry, knitting, baking. I also enjoy nature or just binge watching TV with DH. Also huge Eagles fan!
Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Fur babies
Just married DH (who will be 33 in October) in June but we've been together more than 5 years. One small rescue dog named Mowgli who's probably about 7. Not sure exactly what he is but something like a schnoodle, havapoo, cockapoo, or shih poo I'm guessing.
Anything you’d like us to know:
Lots of changes may be on the horizon for us with jobs and where we're living. Hoping everything works out in the least stressful way possible.
Re: Introduce Yourself Here!

Hobbies, Job, Etc. I am a user researcher for a tech company. I love hiking and spending time with family.

Like many of you I'm cautiously optimistic, I had a mmc at 10 weeks before dd, and in my pregnancy with her I was told I was going to have another because of bleeding, betas not doubling, and no hb at 6.5 weeks. I'm happy to say that she was stronger than they thought and is here, but it doesn't change all the pgal brain thoughts. I'm hoping to be able to enjoy this pregnancy more, but we'll see what hacienda.

BFP: 9/5/19 ~ EDD 5/15/20
- EDD (Estimated Due Date): May 24
- How you found out: This was our second IUI, so I tested out my trigger shot and then at around 8dpo a faint line popped up and it's been getting darker since (fingers crossed that trend continues).
- EDD (Estimated Due Date): May 19, 2020
- How you found out: I have very irregular cycles, and took an ovulation test last week that came up super dark, which hadn't happened at any point during the month.
I work as a librarian and live in sunny Southern California. In my free time (ha!) I like to read, see and bake.
I look forward to getting to know everyone!
I reside in NY with my hubby and two little ladies.
I work as a behavior consultant both in schools and homes so ... I'm in a panic over whether or not I can do this. I'm not even 6 weeks and feeling pretty awful. I had symptoms before I had a confirmed pregnancy!
I'll certainly be looking for grounding xo
- How you found out - Went to the doctor on Friday and had a negative test.
- How you found out - Ttc, so I peed on all the things.
- Anything you’d like us to know 🙂

Its taken a team of specialists three years to figure out what went wrong, and how to do better this time.
- EDD (Estimated Due Date): May 11
- How you found out: I was watching my cycle days add up, and looking back on my history knowing that it usually doesn't go that late without starting if I'm not pregnant.
*TW*
- Anything else: I noticed at least one other person is hypothyroid, and you can count me in there. My endocrinologist told me as soon as I got pregnant I needed to go up on my levo by half so I have. We've recently moved states and I have to find all new doctors at once. I'm procrastinating that excessively. I really wish I could just call my old OB office where I know everyone and be checked out, but that's impossible. I'm going to suck it up soon and make a phone call. I know they won't want to see me yet anyway at 6wks so I'm not behind yet.
- How you found out: Missed period but I didn’t think too much of it due to being irregular.
- I watch my cycle pretty closely and things just seemed off so I took a test lol not that exciting
- Hobbies, Job, Etc. I’m a doula and community organizer
- My partner is hype as all get out
- I’m definitely excited now I had a lot of anxiety when I found out because this wasn’t planned but hey if you’re messing around without a condom is it really unplanned
- EDD (Estimated Due Date): May 18th according to last period. I am hoping this is a little off because my DD's bday is also May 18th
- How you found out: my husband made a joke about me being pregnant, which got me thinking "when was my last period...." Realized I was 2 days late.
I have a DD named Emma who is 2.5 (March 2017)
I'm a SAHM. When I'm not chasing my toddler I like to binge-watch television and read.
DH works night-shift. We've been married 4 years in December and together 6 yrs in two days. My daughter is a strong-willed wild redhead. She keeps us on our toes!
Hobbies, Job, Etc I am an administrator for a residential adolescent eating disorder treatment center.
Spouse, Partner, Kids, or Fur babies Just married DH (who will be 33 in October) in June but we've been together more than 5 years. One small rescue dog named Mowgli who's probably about 7. Not sure exactly what he is but something like a schnoodle, havapoo, cockapoo, or shih poo I'm guessing.
Anything you’d like us to know: Lots of changes may be on the horizon for us with jobs and where we're living. Hoping everything works out in the least stressful way possible.
