@KFrob my digestion track is wacky too, same as you mentioned. Try drinking as much water as you can. I’ve also been doing coconut water, ginger brew (the kind with real ginger) and prunes.
@mandarenee898 yessss so oily 🥴 I’ve always had combo skin and finally found solace in Rodan + Fields Unblemish but had to give it up because of all the salicylic acid. Back to looking like that person who doesn’t know how to take care of her skin
other than that, queasiness and nausea all day long off and on for the past 2 weeks. I’m having a lot of trouble keeping food down, No appetite, and I’ve lost weight. My first appointment is finally coming up Wednesday so I’m hoping the doctor has some suggestions.
Same boat here @KFrob Can so relate to the starving! nothing sounds good yet when I finally convince myself to eat it somehow feels worse. What an awful limbo to be in.
@cansav1013 and @mflowers929 - I’ve also lost weight. I have been able to keep food down, but with the nausea not a lot sounds appetizing and I don’t seem to eat much when I do convince myself to eat. They didn’t seem concerned at my first appointment as long as some weight gain starts in the second trimester.
@mercury94@KFrob@goodyloves and @cansav1013 thank you!! For me it is my face and especially my forehead. I’ve been getting some zits but thankfully my Burt’s Bees Complexion stick does the trick within a day or so.
@Kathryn0903 I hope the b6/unisom convo works for you!
This is my third time having extreme nausea/ hg with pregnancy. It started super early this time at 5 weeks. I’ve been trying to figure out a good med combo to help with the all day vomiting and this time it seems to be diclegis and Zofran. I’m sure I’ll be going in for IV fluids soon. I haven’t even had my first appt yet and already spoken to nurses like 5 times.
Aweee, I’m sorry @stumptownmama that sounds awful. I hope the meds work!
@mflowers929 I lost 4 pounds during the first trimester of my last pregnancy. But then I started gaining pretty rapidly in the second trimester. My dr was never concerned. I think as long as you’re not losing/gaining too much weight too quickly then it’s okay. Just keep an eye on it and you’ll probably gain it back in a few weeks from now.
I think I’ve lost a few pounds just because I don’t feel like eating anything. Nothing sounds good even when I’m not nauseous.
@stumptownmama I hope you find something that works soon!
@ejoseph16 I wish! I was still weaning from EPing when I got pregnant and my boobs are still in the deflated post BFing stage. They are so sad looking...
Started taking the b6 and unisom. Not 100%, but definitely an improvement on the all day nausea. @mflowers929 I think I've lost weight with feeling so gross. Hoping to pick up weight in the 2nd trimester. @ejoseph16 I'm struggling to still fit into my bras.
I checked this morning and I'm down 4 lbs. So not extreme but enough to notice. I was only able to eat 1/3 of my breakfast this morning and almost tossed it back up so I feel like I might lose more still. As a plus size momma that's not necessarily a horrible thing, but it's still disconcerting.

Anyone still breastfeeding while pregnant? I’m still breastfeeding my 2.5 year old and it’s starting to get really painful. This happened with my first as well when I got pregnant and ended up weaning earlier than I had hoped.
Yes! This! What's with this? I go from starving to that exact feeling in like 6 bites!
I’m so glad I’m not the only one. There is no happy medium! I always read that being hungry is what caused nausea so I thought constantly eating would help. Turns out that makes me sick too.
Anyone else notice being smellier? I don’t know if my nose is extra sensitive, or if my hormones are increasing my body oder, but I took a shower this morning, wore deodorant, and sprayed myself with body spray, and I can still smell myself. It’s been this way all week and it’s making me really self-conscious.
@emsnedds I feel like everything is smellier so I don't necessarily think its me putting out more smell, just being extra sensitive to how things smell.
Oh man, the nausea really kicked up this weekend. I was okay on Saturday, but basically on the couch all day Sunday. I have a long day today, so I'm worried about getting through it.
I am going crazy. Does anyone else have experience with a constant sweet taste in their mouth?! It’s not only annoying but makes me constantly gag/nauseous.

@coaster102516 Ive actually had more of a gross metallic taste quite often and it also makes me gag! Bleh.
Last night was the first time I was so nauseas before going to bed that I slept sitting straight up on the couch. It was awful and I slept terrible, but didnt puke, so yay.
I have such a raging headache I woke up with this morning. It's what has officially pushed me over the edge today into being a complete waste of life. Luckily today is my work at home day.
I can't remember if I posted about this already, but my therapist recommended protein enriched waffles or bread for mild snacks to fight the nausea. I bought some waffles today and had a couple for lunch. It was great! They were mild and tasty, and I felt so much better after. Had a big bowl of veggie soup a little while after and I feel much better than I have in days. A great way to get some protein in if your usual sources (mine's yogurt) don't sound appealing.
Also super oily and not used to dealing with pimples because I normally have very easy to manage skin. I did just start using Cetaphil for my face (no salicylic acid, so preggo safe). I think a lot of it is also the dietary change, because right now I hate my vegetables and only want carbs, cheese and chocolate milk. I felt like such a kid the other night passing my broccoli over to my hubby to finish because it was making me gag!
The last few nights, my RLS has been creeping back. I first had it when I was pregnant with DD, but it started much later, around the beginning of the 3rd tri. It lasted though postpartum and slowly, finally stopped. Now it's coming back and falling asleep is terribly difficult. Anyone else have/had restless legs during pregnancy?
Every morning I wake up to spotting and then it resolves during the day. It just puts me on edge every time. The doctors aren't worried about it because every time I've had an ultrasound everything looks fine.
This week I've gone from nauseous and not wanting to eat at all to nausea followed by a ravenous urge to eat something I'm suddenly craving. This morning a coworker was standing at my desk eating an egg, cheese, and bacon sandwich on a bagel. I wanted to grab her sandwich and shove it in my mouth.
Oh gosh worst thing this morning...I’ve been having plenty of nausea but haven’t actually thrown up. This morning I drank a smoothie (perhaps too quickly) and my husband drove me to work. On the way there I was sick in his car!!! We were in a drive through so I had nowhere to go...So awful...luckily I’m a teacher in our community so we turned back to clean the car and so I could change. Had to get a fellow teacher friend who is in on the secret to watch my kiddos in my classroom while I rolled in late. Has anyone else had some bad barfing situations?!? I feel awful about the whole thing!
@lmac92 I haven’t actually thrown up this pregnancy (plenty of nausea) but I’ve heard lots of stories of pregnant friends puking in cars!!!
Im so happy to report my nausea has been getting significantly better everyday this past week (12 weeks now!). So for anyone a few weeks behind.. there truly is hope! My appetite is coming back and I’m starting to be able to cook again.
Im still tired though.. waiting for that burst of energy that apparently happens soon!
@sanpelligrino It could be round ligament pain from the stretching? I’ve been having pain in my groin area off and on and I’m assuming that’s what it is. I also just feel achy from being bloated so often.
@kath1414 That's so good to hear! I'm 11 weeks today and had a really rough weekend with my nausea. Yesterday was better and I felt okay this morning, but a little queasy on my commute. Really hope I'm coming out of the worst of it. I never realized how much of my Instagram feed is food-based until I got morning sickness.
