July Symptoms

Re: July Symptoms

  • Thanks @jessieR358 and @jennv0701! OB doc said not to take the antibiotics as long as I don't have a fever and as long as I improve in the next week or so. I'm miserable, but I don't want to take any chances.

Otherwise July-symptoms-wise, hard to tell what's the cold and what's pregnancy, to an extent. I am exhausted--that could be caused or worsened by either.

Holy morning sickness, Batman! And afternoon sickness and evening sickness. Woof. Have thrown up at least once daily for a week now. It's not twins, though! Confirmed today.

And I have very big boobs that kind of hurt. We're going to need a bigger bra!

  • Hi Ladies,

I should be 7 weeks today. I am cobfysed if I shoykd be grateful or worried that I hace not puked once.  Over the past week the feeling of nausea (without vomiting) has subsided. The only symptoms I have are sore breasts which have also "lightened up" so to speak, bloating, and not into healthy foods (normally I woukd eat all healthy but the thought of it makes me kind if lose my appetite.)

I feel as if the prior weeks my symptoms were worse and although I do not want to be puking or feeking awful, I am worried. I had an early scan around 5.5 weeks and baby was good, heart beating, etc. Next scan is in 10 days. Anyone else feeling okay and not as bad as you thought you Would?
  • @sallymass It's always hard not to worry, but I think it's common for symptoms come and go. At least they do for me - one minute I feel pretty good, and the next I'm on the couch feeling super tired/nauseous. If possible, try to enjoy the moments where you feel ok. If you're concerned, maybe give your doc a quick call to see if they can fit you in earlier.
  • @sallymass I thought my symptoms were easing up until this morning. I was nauseous again all of a sudden and my boobs are sore again.

Im also feeling ligament pain already if I get up too fast or move too quickly in the wrong direction. That was a constant pain (literally) throughout my last pregnancy and I guess I’m not escaping it this time either!

  • @sallymass I’m in the same boat! Just about 6 weeks long and I have no symptoms! I was usually throwing up at least once a day with my previous pregnancies. I am eating all the bad things and have a noticeable weight gain so I need to get that under control! It’s super weird to not have any symptoms at all but I’m sure it’s a matter of time before they begin

  • Yesterday, nothing. Today, I feel like I could rotate between sleeping on my desk or vomiting all over it any second.

@sallymass @kbrinks2 @jvk2012 same here! 7wks 1day and haven’t felt a ton. Sore breasts, peeing, cramping, and a tiny bit of nausea but nothing major so I’m nervous. We did see a healthy little nugget and heartbeat on our US last Friday so I guess I should feel better. But I had some horrible cramps Sunday night and we had an MC in Jan so I’m worried and it’s hard to feel “lucky” about my lack of symptoms.

@babylawyer there are antibiotics you can take in the first trimester but a z-pack is not one of them! I’ve been told that by two different doctors. If you need abx suggest you get a different kind.

Source: I have had recurrent UTI with now two pregnancies and allergic to penicillin so options for me suck with a lot of side effects and I have begged for a Z-Pack 😂

I have nausea and am so dizzy today! I can eat nothing but carbs. DH picked up a rotisserie chicken for dinner last night and I could not even look at it so I had sweet potatoes for dinner. tonight making pancakes 😂

took a nap this afternoon (1/2 day due to holiday) but now about time to pick up my daughter from daycare and I am almost dreading it...she has had so many tantrums the last two days. On our own tonight 😬

  • @leksiL I can also only eat carbs, sigh.

The weird part is that I cannot repeat a meal! Like what I had for dinner last night is suddenly inexcusable for tonight. I think I’m going to get a bunch of different microwave dinners and some frozen nuggets because I literally don’t know what else to keep in the house aside from graham crackers and saltines!
  • I gave into the nausea today and went home a couple of hours early. A nap helped. But I just couldn’t sit at work anymore.

  • @ibabyloveb87: I left early today, too. I couldn’t take it anymore. Hope laying down is helping!
  • Well I had a weird one today. Very small amount of blood from my left nipple. Just enough to wipe away once with my finger and have more blood appear. I'm fairly sure it's from my breasts growing and more blood being pumped to them but still a strange sight and completely unexpected. So if any of you expecting mommas have the same thing happen, you aren't alone (and obviously let your doctor know).

I hope you call your OB about this. I’ve never heard of this being normal?

@sallymass @kbrinks2 @jvk2012 @nhh11 I’m so glad to read your post I’m 6weeks 5 days today and in the same boat and won’t have and US until 12 weeks I’ve had major fatigue and sore breast with minor cramping and have maybe been nauseous twice but for the most part I don’t think I’d know I was pregnant if I didn’t get a bfp and wasn’t almost three weeks late I know it’s horrible to be upset about feeling good I just wish I knew what was going on nice to see some of you had early scans and saw heartbeats that makes me feel a lot more at ease every pregnancy is different and I need to just enjoy it ☺️
     Edit for spelling
  • I’m in the same boat with having basically no symptoms! I had some nausea last Thursday and Friday but none since. This week I’ve been feeling bloated and a little tired but that’s really it. I started freaking out a little bit but after seeing that I’m not the only one with minimal symptoms and some of you have had positive scans, I’m feeling much more hopeful. Thank you ladies for keeping me sane! I’m 5 weeks 6 days today so hopefully I’ll have more symptoms in the next week. Insane to actually say that I WANT to feel like crap lol
  • Anyone else less tolerant of heat this pregnancy? Last pregnancy I was freezing all the time. It’s hot here and all (heat wave) but I can’t seem to deal with it well and start getting light-headed and nauseous. It’s making it hard to take DD to the playground, etc. so now I feel guilty on top of it.
  • @babytimeagain This is my first pregnancy, so I have nothing to compare it to but I am having the same issue. Usually I am perpetually cold and love the sun and heat. This summer I can't deal because I get so nauseous when I am warm.
  • @jessieR358 I definitely messaged my OB team immediately since it was weird. They didn't seem concerned and all my googling (as reliable as that can be) suggests that it's likely due to increased blood flow and growing breasts. Other option is benign cyst on milk ducts that doc will check at next appointment. I've made sure to feel around plenty and nothing feels abnormal. Unless the OB seems concerned at the next appointment, I'm chalking it up to weird things always seem to happen to me.
  • So I took my first dose of Bonjesta last night. Not hardly nauseous overnight or today (did puke this AM but recovered pretty quickly) but I have literally slept ALL day.

I also have been spotting again (more than previously) but it’s improving through the day- yesterday I had my US and we went for a walk for the first time in a while so I’m trying to take it easy today. Which isn’t hard because I’m sleeping so much, haha. Glad the meds helped but not sure I can take them on a night before I have to work or be a real human being.
  • @babytimeagain, my first pregnancy I was sooo hot the entire time. I slept in shorts and a tshirt all winter when usually I sleep in pants and long sleeves. This time around I have also found myself feeling hot, especially while sleeping which is unusual for me. It’s normal to feel hot during pregnancy.
  • @babytimeagain I was just playing outside with DD1 and after about 20 minutes I felt awful. Like, the way you feel when you’re totally dehydrated. I’ve always been a cold sleeper and sleep bundled up but like @jvk2012 I’ve been such a hot sleeper. I have the ceiling fan on full blast and have still woken up hot.
  • I had asthma as a kid and pregnancy just brings it back up so I’ve really been feeling that lately. Plus I’m slowly recovering from being sick as a dog. So I’m just all kinds of miserable, BUT no morning sickness so I’m trying to convince myself it’s not that bad! I’m not totally sure when MS started last time so I’m not counting on being totally out of the woods at 7 weeks and a day.
  • @babytimeagain I’m having the same issues with heat! If I’m too warm, I feel so sick. In my last pregnancy, this didn’t happen until later (although it was a June due date so most of the pregnancy was fall, winter)
  • I feel bad because I intro'd and then totally fell off the face of the planet.

MS (or all day sickness) has hit me HARD! Puking 3-4x per day. My OB prescribed Diclectin and I just started it last night. It's definitely taken the edge off of today (thank goodness)

I'm also on Progesterone and it is causing (TMI WARNING) major diarrhea. Ugh. Anyone else experiencing this? I know a lot of women have constipation during pregnancy but I am the opposite!!!
  • @daffodil_shoe MOOD. I literally will eat until my stomach hurts from being so full and I regret it everytime like ughhhh why am I like this!? Lol 😭
  • @daffodil_shoe Same boat. Weeks 6 & 7 there was nausea, but it seems to have died down in Week 8. Also, there were only 3 days of work this week and two of them someone brought in donuts for the office. I had a dream two nights ago that I went in for an obgyn appt and they were like "You've gained 10 pounds in 10 weeks. That is twice the recommended amount. Have you considered a diet?".

I don't have the traditional morning sickness or round-the-clock nausea, but I keep telling myself that I have enough of the other symptoms that clearly something is still happening: constipation, exhaustion, sore/bigger boobs, cramps, spotting after/if I go #2 (sorry if that's TMI but google says it can be a symptom), bloating, and frequent urination.
  • @justkeeptrying I’m sorry that’s been your experience with progesterone! I’m one of those opposite problem people! I ate all the prunes yesterday and nothing!

@daffodil_shoe ugh doughnuts are my weakness!!! My dad is here this weekend and I bought them for him and I just cannot stop!!

@noxacanthus my last pregnancy I did gain 10 in 10 weeks  :# I’m trying not to do that again but I’m also not worrying about it either. I have too much to worry about. I will try to be healthy for this baby but I just want all the carbs!  :D

I'm finally starting to feel better from MS today (7w 5d) even though the asshat in accounting wanted to talk about a hot dog eating contest forever. I ended up walking away and sitting in our lobby for ten minutes reading a magazine so I didn't have to hear it.  Still short of breath. Hopefully we are all turning corners- my Ovia app says the placenta is starting to take the hormonal load now. I don't remember MS lasting more than a few weeks last time but it is so hard to remember.

I am suffering very badly in the heat too! Today is cooler so going to enjoy a nice walk. If I'm still feeling better tomorrow I will go for a morning run for the first time in like 3 weeks.

  • I am really hoping week eight brings some relief too.  But, I think I remember feeling better around 10 weeks last time.

Thought I was out of the woods because I had literally no symptoms. Then went to my 8w appointment and on sono literally measuring almost two weeks behind. So now that we’re solidly mid week 6 (actually) I feel super nauseated. It’s like pregnancy time travel
  • @stronginhim Broccoli cheese soup sounds so good right now. But my husband hates broccoli, so I am going to have to do without. 😪
  • My spotting started up again Thurs AM (first US was Wed AM and I also took my first walk in a while that night). Its worse than the first round but still no actual bleeding or red. I slept most of the day yesterday (the MS meds most likely) and have taken it easy; it’s getting progressively better but still there :( I’m such a fretter, sigh.
  • I know this is not a “baby bump” but good lord my baby bump is so big! I guess 3rd baby it’s just here I am!!! There is no hiding this at the gym. Everyone probably thinks I just got fat   :D
  • @mandk1233: wish you were local; I'd share! I ate a few bites, and now it sounds awful. I still have 1.5 potatoes and the rest of my soup to bring home, so hopefully, I can eat it this weekend.

That's what I've been doing. When I am actually hungry, I eat what may sound good, and then immediately afterwards, can't stand the thought of that food ever again. So not fun.
