@suzycupcake come here! I'll throw you a baby party with cake! A tea party! And we can dress up pretty and have finger sandwiches, and dainties, then baby shower type cake!
@AKuzReve everything looks fabulous!! And I love your outfit!
Im hosting a baby shower for my bff this weekend and it’s sooo much work— especially because I’m always overly ambitious when it comes to parties and my cohosts are basically useless. I think my friend feels bad because now she wants to have a “sprinkle brunch” for me. I feel awkward about it so I’m keeping the guest list very small. Like only about 8 people. It will be fun to have a little mini celebration for this baby but honestly I would be fine with not having anything since it’s baby #2 and we are pretty well equipped with stuff. I think I like the sip n’ see idea better than the sprinkle... it would be particularly nice if people brought meals!
We had our shower thrown by my very best friend yesterday! It was tea party themed, in honor of some shared childhood memories. It was so nice, and oh so beautiful! I should have gotten more pictures but I’ll post a couple. I’m so sad that I dont have a picture of the table of food, it was all delicious! First half was brunch and then we moved up to a perfect porch setting for dessert and gifts. I’m blown away by everything and everyone’s love for baby girl!
Yesterday was my baby shower! It was amazing and beautiful! 3 of my friends and my mom hosted it and it was amazing! There was a Cinderella’s carriage cake made by Epcot pastry chefs, Disney popcorn, the hosts wore matching Lilly Pulitzer dresses, the food was mostly chips and dips, and the princess decorations were all pink and gold (my nursery colors). It was all totally my fav things rolled into one.
Oh my goodness!!! @purplg8r that all looks amazing! I love the kind subtle reminder that everyone needs to wash their hands before holding the baby when they get to meet her, that’s a nice touch!
@emqbee What a perfect location for a tea party!! Love it! @purplg8r Beautiful pictures!!! I'm so glad you had such a nice shower!
My coworkers threw me a shower yesterday at a local restaurant! Just about 10 of us, but they got TONS of stuff for our little girl. Mostly clothes, books, swaddles, etc. but I loved it all. One of them knit a beautiful lavender colored blanket... when I got it home, I realized it has a decent sized hole in it Any suggestions for how to repair it?? I definitely don't knit, and I don't mind if the repair is a little noticeable as long as the blanket is functional. I would hate to not use it at all!
My husband's coworkers threw us a baby shower last Sunday! I was so happy to have it done early and not late (they were initially thinking a "Welcome Home Baby" one for after I have the baby in August). Loved the Mom-mosa bar they did!
It was a brunch and a mountain/forest theme, since that will be the nursery theme. I definitely grabbed all of their decorations (banners, etc) and I'm going to use it to decorate the nursery
@flagchic sounds like an awesome shower glad you enjoyed! I also took baby shower decorations and put them in DS's room when I was pregnant with him lol

@Lotus_2008 it is! I haven’t dug into it yet though. We’re betting it’s a Rice Krispie treat

And they hand cooked a brunch- pancakes, quiches, yogurt bar. YUM.
