@cmbt2 I don't know how I"m going to manage during the summer months while pregnant....We had our living room AC window unit on last night and overnight. It was glorious.
I've been very crampy lately. I've been trying to up my water to make sure I stay hydrated. I was also doing alot of moving over the weekend going up and down stairs. I had 2 weeks worth of laundry to do. I'm sure its nothing they weren't severe but just enough to catch my attention.
@cmbt2@Cass005 it is not warm enough here! Rainy all weekend and too windy to be warm now, even though the sun is out. I'm ready for the warmth!
It’s not even warmth that’s the issue. It’s super humid here for some reason. It’ll be back to the 70s later this week, and I hope the humidity leaves too
@cmbt2 did you say you had one more trip to Texas coming up? You may melt if you do.... 92 degrees with 60% humidity today! I don’t know why I even bother combing my hair....
@ineedsixeggs after googling that, I'm almost positive that's what I have. I've asked my doctor at every appointment if its normal the pain I have basically on top of my vagina/pelvic bone. And it literally takes me a minute when I get up to walk cause it hurts so bad!! I'm gonna ask her about this at the next appointment.
@andromedacorrine2 Are you sure that's not RLP? That's what RLP feels like to me. My varicosities cause more of a general heaviness/achiness in the sit bone/vagina area. And are very visible.
Does anyone here get migraines? I got them as a child, about 12 years old on up through my mid 20’s. Then they pretty much became more tolerable and less frequent. I had one major one with my first pregnancy around 10 weeks that put me in the ER. I think 1 with my second pregnancy but now with the third baby I have a headache almost every day and I’m on my 3rd migraine 😣
I see my dr again today and I’ll bring it up again but it seems there’s not much we can take

@perfectlove09 migrane suffer of 22 (omg....) years here. Started at 10. My first pregnancy they told me "nothing we can do, power through" but this time (4yrs later) they are letting me take Sumatriptan (generic Imitrex). There are several other meds the can give (Fioricet is the go too I beleive) but it never worked for me. Your Dr will be able to decide where is a good starting point on that. BUT staying hydrated is a good way to prevent headaches. Also, a bit of magnesium can help (it can help sleep too so dual benefit).
@perfectlove09 yes a lot of mine are hormone induced which makes them worse during pregnancy. I’m allowed Excedrin migraine when they are horrible and if that doesn’t work I’m allowed ibuprofen and then a rx which I can’t remember the name of right now. Usually with the Excedrin and a coke I can get rid of it if I take the meds early enough.
I would definitely ask your OB if there is anything else you can take because I do think that it varies person to person.
I am beyond exhausted today. After work yesterday we had all this running around to do. I was moody the entire time. Didn't go to bed til like 2. Hubby doesn't sleep well and he likes to talk and some how we got on the subject of old teachers. Then LO came into our bed and I was restless til my alarm went off. I felt fine up until about 30 minutes ago, I am def ready for a nap. I am cursing myself for parking so far away cause lunch time naps are great.
@perfectlove09 If you haven't tried Excedrin Tension (not Migraine; they are different things), that may be a good starting option for you. It's basically Excedrin Migraine minus the aspirin. Also, be sure to stay hydrated.
Everything the other ladies said is great too!
A word of warning: look up rebound headaches. They are a real thing and the only way to overcome them, that I know of, is to just suffer for a few days to a week without pain medication. I didn't know these were a thing until I got them after a surgery several years ago. Mine presented as a persistent migraine that would never fully go away.

I don't have any visible signs. SO said he never sees anything, and I don't feel anything other than tender muscle and what feels like bruising. I'm gonna ask her again, she said it's probably just my hips shifting but it gets to the point I literally walk like a robot, really stiff and it hurts to move. I need to make it to a chiropractor soon 😔

I have horrible migraines as well, and my protocol is basically the same as this - Excedrin migraine (which I did not believe was okay to take but my doctor chewed me out for not taking when I need it and said it would be fine. I have only taken it once, I just struggle with the idea.) Then I have Fioricet for the really bad days. It didn't seem to do much until he told me to increase the dose to two for the really bad migraines, and that helped a ton. I have only taken it a couple of times though - most of the time I get a cold compress and retreat to a dark room to try to sleep it off - but it's good to have options for the truly bad ones.
Ended up in the ER last night with Braxton Hicks I'm already at higher risk for gas pains and constipation due to undelrying issues so that exacerbated it. In good news, baby girl is fine, my hubs heard the heart beat for the first time, and I got a midweek day off. They are no joke though.

I was supposed to, but it’ll be next year! I won’t be able to fly when it is this year..
So I tried using the search function for this thread but couldn’t find it mentioned... OMG, lightening crotch! I am just about 18 weeks and probably started feeling it around 13-15 weeks. It had gone away but today I moved at work and aggravated it so much! I don’t know why it is starting this early but it is no fun.

I had lightning crotch all the time when I was pregnant with DD1! It turned out that she was double footling breech and karate kicking straight down.

I have this too already - I always thought it didn't happen until later in the pregnancy when the baby was low and pushing down - apparently not!
So I've started to get the linea nigra. Darn. I was hoping I'd be one of the lucky ones not to get one. Ah well. Just another reminder that everything is on track. 😊
Thank you all for the migraine help. My dr told me that right now she only suggests Tylenol but if that continues to be pointless to let her know. We are in Colorado and already need more water due to the high elevation but I track it and get around 85-90 oz a day.
Ill keep in mind the rebound headache! I hadn’t really heard of that. I do get what I call “‘migraine hangovers” but I don’t believe that’s what you’re referring to. I’ll look it up and thank you.
I hope everyone’s migraines (and other ailments) pass soon 💜

@elle-0409 it won’t hurt to go ahead and get them. You’ll need them anyway if you breastfeed or not. I was still breastfeeding last year so I’m noticing more crusty (sorry 😐) stuff but not enough to get pads for.
They sell some bamboo ones on Amazon that are rewashable that I loved

@PenelopeSnuz77 That makes me cringe for you. Hopefully this time it won’t be like that.
@jal88144 I thought the same. Thankfully after sleeping throughout the night it feels much better today.
