I woke up with heartburn this morning.... tums are not helping 😣
I started taking Zantac this weekend 😪 my only comment to my husband is she better have a full head of hair like DS2 or more if I’m already dealing with heartburn
@cmbt2 does Zantac help you? I’m usually more of a pepto gal but since that’s off the table I may need to get something stronger. Should I talk to my OB to see what she recommends?

It did with DS1 but didn’t touch it at all with DS2. It’s so so with this one. Zantac and Pepcid are class Bs and the first medicines to be tried for heartburn
I just bought chewy tums cause I hate the chalky ones, I haven't tried them yet. @cmbt2 I had awful heart burn, on top of throwing up with DS and I joked that he was gonna have my crazy hair, my doctor goes "oh that's a myth you know". Then he's born with a bunch of hair and she asks me "did you have a lot of heartburn, look at his hair!" 🤦🏽♀️ Heartburn and pelvic pain are my main symptoms. My hips/pelvic area hurt so bad and squats help some but not alot. I have a ball I bounce on a little but that doesn't help much either. I asked my doctor at the last appointment cause I wake up stiff and in pain. I haven't heard from the physical therapists office yet so I'll have to call next week. We'll see how this weekend goes at work cause I shouldn't be doing the moving around all weekend, the other girl is back and can do it.
@quidditchcapn1120 still nauseous too. noticeably better - i haven't thrown up in a week which is AMAZING! - but I feel queasy all day long, before eating, after eating, blah blah blah. I just want to like food again.
Does baby movement count as a symptom? I'm thinking it does so I'm posting this here.
We just had our first fight y'all. I just tried to do my daily HB listen on the doppler. Well, the second I put it on my stomach, Jelly Bean starting rolling away from it. So I chased, not realizing the affront. And then he either punched or kicked me. I sat there in shock for seconds...
@marbellie if I didn’t know you we’re having a boy, this would have solidified it with me! Both my boys hated, HATED, any form of monitoring and would kick in retaliation
It’s technically a pregnancy thing. I developed diastisis recti with my first, and nothing I did would get it to start to close (it’s about a 2” gap)
When I was lying on the table yesterday, my H noticed just how bad it is and commented when we were home. Dude, I’ve been telling you for YEARS it’s bad, but I didn’t want to go through all the PT and potential surgery to fix it until we were done with kids (which my MWs agree with). 😪
@cmbt2 I think I also developed this and am just now realizing it. I've always had a belly so I feel like that was masking it. The other night I was getting out of the shower and leaned back and noticed my stomach area was basically bulging in the center 😳 Now I'm terrified of using my ab muscles and making it worse (harder to correct) after this pregnancy.
The nausea has returned and added excruciating headaches to it which Tylenol is not helping with at all. I was feel so good a couple of weeks ago and had more energy so this is just so frustrating. I’ve also been ravenously hungry the last several days, my normal work lunch and snacks have not been cutting it.
So far my lower back has been getting more uncomfortable in my desk chair, not necessarily painful but I did ball up my sweater to create some sort of lumbar support.
I'm getting so mad because I haven't been tolerating food very well this pregnancy. I either have the worst heartburn ever or I get diarrhea. It's really annoying. I just finished my current prenatal vitamins so changing brands. That could be the culprit? Or my stomach just hates me.

Very possible. I have to take very specific vitamins or I have awful stomach aches/nausea or the runs
This is a strange one, maybe not exactly a symptom, but does anyone have a linea negra yet? Last pregnancy mine showed up in the second tri around this time but then it never really left after his birth, until I got pregnant this time, then it vanished. Now I'm curious as to when/if it will return.
Me: 41 / Fiance: 35 + One DS, one dog & two kitties...
First BFP: 1/17/16 = EDD 9/21/16 (MMC)
Second BFP: 6/24/16 (CP)
Third BFP: 2/7/17 = EDD 10/20/17 🌈 *** BORN 10/23 *** 🌈

This is how mine is... they won’t try to correct it until after you’re done with kids, so mine has gotten worse each time. 😪 Do you carry all belly? It can happen to everyone, but women who are “all belly” tend to get it worse as the ab muscles pull further apart.

It might not! I had it with my first and slowly faded away. I never got it with my second which I thought was interesting and so far with this one, no indication it's coming yet.
Anyone find anything to help with this constant itching? Lotions aren’t helping and I didn’t have this before. HELP!
What lotions have you tried? I would suggest maybe a thick goldbon or can you try a benedryl cream? If it gets worse though check with your doctor. I'm sure it's not the same wtih you but a coworker if mine had very bad itchiness, like she was scratching so bad it was drawing blood, and it turned out something was wrong with her liver.

I’ll have to pick one of those up. I’ve done aloe and cocoa, thinking that’s it’s dry or skin stretching 😪
Cholestasis is the term your coworker had. One of my good friends had it with her daughter, but it doesn’t usually onset until 3rd tri
@cmbt2 ah that's right I couldn't think of the name. Aloe was my next suggestion it's a shame it didn't work. I've also heard good things about Eurcerin for exzema so maybe that could help too. Hope you feel better

I like to use the Neutrogena oil in the shower (fragrance free; the other one makes you smell like a salad) and then follow it with a good lotion afterward. It's really the only thing that has helped me, personally. Afterward I like the Lubriderm daily moisturizer.
If you decide to use the oil, obviously do it at the end of the shower, before you get out, and then pat dry. You can also ask your husband to join you in the shower to help you get your back. I know mine loves that part. 😂
Disclaimer: it can make your shower floor a bit slippery. Be sure to rinse it well, maybe even using a little soap to break it up.

Yea, with DS I was all belly until like the last 4wks. And I have a short torso so there is little room for length wise growth. I'm fairly certain this is our last. If I can keep it from getting too much worse, that would be ideal.
Current problem: I am starving, so I have what I think is a small to medium sized snack (say, one slice of coffee cake or an apple) and then I'm suddenly way overfull and feeling gross. It's not exactly nausea, just that if I bent over, I'd probably puke up the stuff sitting on the top of my stomach. Hooray...
@steminist I have this, or maybe it is still nausea, but I ate heavy food at a wedding this weekend (though, I would say not too much, but who knows!) and then spent the entire night puking it up. It just seems like I can never actually enjoy eating haha!
@Cass005, are you sure it's amniotic fluid? If it were me, and I thought I was leaking fluid, I would be headed to my doctor or the ER, as soon as possible.

^^This. Leaking fluid at this stage needs to be seen ASAP.
There’s a general increase in discharge that happens that can appear to be leaking fluid if you don’t know what to look for. Are you wearing a liner or pad? Smell it. Seriously. Amniotic has a very distinct smell

No I don't think it was amniotic at all actually. But I was just generally curious.
