@cmbt2 Do you have Trader Joe’s where you live? They have an awesome, easy frozen chicken (and veggie) fried rice! Cooks in 5 min on skillet. Satisfy that craving tomorrow!

I do! I’ll have to go Saturday and see if ours has it- the parking lot can only fit about 40 cars and it’s always full if you don’t go first thing 😪 I need to go there anyway for their olive tapenade (I add it to homemade hummus. So good!). Thanks for the tip!
I’ve been scarce this week and I will next week too. My grandma got suddenly admitted to the hospital with pneumonia and intubated (she started chemo a month ago and has declined quickly since) and everything is really touch and go. It feels so sudden. 😕 On top of that work is insane and I’m having a hard time keeping it together.

My H and I are having a date night tonight. We are going out to dinner, then to Target to buy our car seat/stroller and work on our baby registry a little. I'm so excited! First official baby purchase is getting made today!
I'm working tonight and really wish I wasn't. I just want to lay on the couch in my sweats and eat chocolate. Alsooo we're heading up to Maine to visit my family this weekend and I just bought a dozen of the most delicious cupcakes to bring, and it is taking so much willpower to not dig in!
@PenelopeSnuz77 So sorry to hear about your grandmother. Will be thinking of you.
I was in L&D for clinicals today. I got to place 2 spinals for csections and did 2 epidurals today. First time in L&D since I've been pregnant. Makes me so more emotional. I love doing csections though, doing spinals is so rewarding, get to see them work immediately so the OB doc can get baby out. And to see the parents meet baby for the first time. LOVE!!
Thanks for the kind words! It means a lot to me! 💜
A little update: Grandma got really bad yesterday and then suddenly better. They were able to take the intubation out and she’s talking and awake. It’s crazy. I don’t know how much longer she’ll be in the hospital but it’s definitely nice for everyone to be able to talk to her and spend time in case things turn again. We weren’t sure she was going to wake up yesterday.
Living less then a quarter mile from the local ice cream shop is going to get dangerous this pregnancy..... DH just left to get me a strawberry sundae. 🍨
@penelopesnuz77 that's wonderful news about your grandmother!
@quidditchcapn1120 congratulations on finishing your classes with rave reviews!
In slightly silly news from me, except for one randoms thread that's almost 200 posts long, I'm back to caught up and finding it easier to respond and post again. Hooray!

Glad to be able to think about baby stuff for a little bit (until we get our first placements).
