@puppylove8910 Both of my AL cycles were longer than normal. After my MMC in Nov, the following cycle was almost 6 weeks long. After my CP in Feb., that cycle was 39 days long. My second cycle last month was 32 days long, which is closer to normal for me. This will be my 3rd cycle, so I guess we'll see. Unfortunately I think it can be different for everyone, depending on how long it takes for your HCG to track back down to zero. But mine went down really quickly after my CP and my cycle was still really long. It's one of the reasons I chose to take 2 cycles off after my most recent loss, since I didn't after my first loss. Anyway, I hope that helps answer your question.
@ejoseph16 I am so sorry for your loss, and that you weren't able to give yourself some time off to grieve. I hope you get some good self-healing time soon.

@shamrocandroll Yes! I didn't get it either. But my officemate (who, like, is getting her PhD in internet folklore...) had showed it to me, so I had her explain it. You guessed better than I did! (I could not even wager a guess.)
How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with this week? What is going well for you this week? R/R? ~I went MIA for a week. I have been really struggling with the pressure of TTC this time around. I have been overwhelmed with work & anxious with tracking & testing & temping...taking vitamins...etc. This week, back on CD 6 & getting back to the temping & OPKs. I think that TWW is enough to drive anyone bonkers--& that progesterone was no joke. I felt like I was going through menopause. HOT. HOT. HOT.
Any testing coming up/any recent results? Just OPKs & temping daily

Sorry to see newbies here. Like everyone has said, this is an amazing group of women!
@omg1108 TWW is the worst. I am almost glad the bulk of mind is coinciding w/ the end of the semester & my poetry reading bc it means I have a lot to do that I have to get done before the time evaporates, but despite that (I'm 3 dpo lol) it always feels like it is gonna take forever.
@kagesstarshroom OMG "internet folklore" just made me spit my drink out!

@kagesstarshroom@emeraldduchess@shamrocandroll TY for your feedback regarding cycle lengths post CP. As much as I hate using OPKs, I think I will use them until I can confirm my FW has begun and then put them away and just temp. We definitely don't have the stamina to HIO for weeks if my body plans to O super late this cycle. Haha. I'll see what happens!

@puppylove8910 I spotted for a day, bled for 6, then spotted for one more day. It seemed longer/heavier than my usual period. You can always mention it to your doctor if you are worried, they would probably have an idea of what would be considered normal. Edit: clarity
@puppylove8910 - I bled way more than my usual periods which are already heavy, passed one really big clot the size of my fist, the rest were quarter sized. I bled for 9 days and spotted for another 4. However, from what I read about CPs, my experience was unusual. Most people don't have anything different than their normal period.
@emeraldduchess@marebear15 Thanks ladies! I never spotted before the CP. Day 1 was a heavier flow with a few small clots and then day 2 seemed more like my day 2 AF (no clots). Day 3 was quite light and this morning no real flow (but it's still early). I'll keep an eye on it over the weekend and if anything seems off or changes then I'll call my OB on Monday.

@puppylove8910 I didn’t have a CP, I was 9 weeks along and baby stopped growing at 7 weeks. But, I’m still bleeding day 7. It’s much lighter than it was, but I just stopped passing clots 2 days ago. I left work on Tuesday still cramping, contracting, and emotional as hell halfway through the day. I think it varies woman to woman, so definitely talk to your doctor. I’m going to mine today to make sure everything is out and I’m good to move on now.
@puppylove8910 In my notes on FF I have recorded H, H M L L, which is about my normal AFs length, though I am usually H M L L L (L)-- I only mark it as "spotting" before AF starts, & "light" after. I read online during when this was happening and a Whole New World to me, that everyone's was different. I was worried because mine was incredibly painful & the experiences I'd read about online said theirs hadn't been--my ob said everyone's is different, and that was helpful (and of course not helpful at the same time ya know?)
Thank you ladies for your feedback @ejoseph16@kagesstarshroom. I'm so sorry that we have all been through this 💔

@kagesstarshroom omg mine was terribly painful. I actually screamed Sunday morning when I passed the baby. It hurt so bad, I’d never been in that much pain. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
@puppylove8910 I’m just wanting some answers, and to know what to expect with my next pregnancy, how to calm my mind, etc. I’m already anxious and we are benched until July (for personal reasons, my OB told us to wait a month, but if we conceived in June that would put my maternity leave at a bad time of the school year for me).
I hate that miscarriage is even a thing. I hate that anyone has to go through this. Hugs and prayers for all of us. Feeling a little extra emotional today so I’m trying to spread the love. 💔
@puppylove8910 Mine was actually slightly shorter than my normal period, but WAY heavier. And my cramps were horrible. Unfortunately I think this is another one of those "there is no normal" things and can be different for everyone.

Hi all! I just wanted to let you know my poetry reading went well last night! Not many ppl really said anything super specific about the mc/ttc poems, really just one friend I mention below, but (spoiler for mention of others' w/ kids)
One friend of mine who wound up adopting (before i met her, her kid is like 13 now or something, not 100% sure why they adopted but I know they'd tried naturally--) & who's now in her 40s was like "we need to talk soon!" bc I'd told her, like, a million months ago we were gonna TTC & I've been meaning to catch her up. & a prof who had a baby earlier this year was the first person who came up to me after the reading and she gave me a hug-- I thought that was sweet & meaningful for a few reasons.
Another friend said she felt like she learned a lot about her body/how she thinks about her body from my poems, which was really great to hear, and she and i talked about ttc in your 30s a little bit. i got a lot of general compliments, too. Phew! I did it!
I just got out of my appointment. Literally everything passed naturally. So as soon as I have a regular cycle, we can start trying again. My doctor actually said based on looking at the ultrasound, she wants to see us start trying immediately, but she encourages waiting until after the MC cycle. So only benched for a month! I’ll take that.
