This was ours. The stuffed animal was the first baby thing I bought the weekend I found out I was KU. For the announcement I said something about struggling with infertility but now I get to say I'm going to be a mommy!

Awwww! Those are all so cute!! I dunno if I’m gonna announce on Social Media. I announced after our AS with DS. I might wait until DS’s birthday to announce (late May).
Then again, a huge part of me wants to wait until new baby arrives and then use something like this:
I showed DH this once and he freakin’ loved it! I doubt we’ll do it, but just wanted to dump it here for someone else to steal (if you want!)
We just swapped out our profile pics to ones of us wearing Mommy/Daddy Est 2019 tee shirts. I'm planning on posting something silly about it being twins after the AS.
I'm struggling with the thought of making an official announcement on social media. *TW I made such a sweet announcement with DS at 13 weeks last pregnancy and then two days later learned I had a MMC so I have a lot of anxiety around posting something. I do think I'd feel bad keeping it from extended family (I have a gigantic family) so I'll probably still post something End TW* DS and I are doing a mommy and me photo session on the 20th and I have my AS on the 25th so I will probably just use one of those pics for an announcement if I decide to do something.

@zuuls_mom I can totally understand how hard it would be to post an announcement after your history. to you. The mommy and me photo shoot sounds like it'll be so cute and fun! Even if you don't use them for an announcement, it'll be awesome to have those pictures.
@themadcamel yes, I can't wait! Other than his newborn pics, we have no professional/nice photos of the two of us and 95% of the other pics we have are selfies lol.

I am struggling to be creative with an announcement this time... and I keep thinking, oh after the 16 week appointment I'll feel comfortable announcing (that was yesterday, still unsure). Now I'm thinking after the 20 week, but that is at the end of the month, and maybe I could do a cute Easter announcement ahead of that? I wasn't like this at all with my first, I couldn't wait to announce (TW- I had a first trimester loss in November 2018, so part of me is always waiting for the other shoe to drop, even though everything with this pregnancy is different than that one and I knew something was wrong at 9 weeks last time. END TW). I'm so undecided. I can't announce anything until I tell my boss though... and she is so rarely in the office its hard to know when I can actually tell her face to face.
@MsBeachNJ I have told friends and family who I talk to regularly, and meant to tell others I'm in more infrequent contact with when I got to the second trimester, but I keep stalling. Now I'm thinking after the anatomy scan. I don't want to leave it as long as last time - there were some family and friends I write to every year at Christmas and birthdays who only heard after DS was born and I felt bad about that - but I just don't feel ready yet. I think after the anatomy scan I will push myself to do it.
I love seeing how you all are announcing! I'm not on social media so wasn't thinking of doing an announcement photo, but after seeing all these am now considering taking some kind of special photo for when I do tell the friends/family I don't talk to often.
I did a social media announcement post a week or so ago. I had some other ideas in mind but the dogs wouldn't cooperate so kept it simple! However I threw a filter on my photo because why not and did not realize my grey baby booties now looked blue to most people. I think knowing that they were grey it didn't even cross my mind mind when I posted they now had more of a bluish hue until I started getting texts and comments saying does the blue mean boy? Or I guess you're having a boy. 🤦♀️ We don't know what we are having yet. Below is a photo of what they really look like and how they looked in my edited photo announcement, so I can see how they see the blue now but definitely was not my intention! Haha
@diner04 oh my gosh, they do kind of look blue, but I can see how you still thought grey when you posted it. Eh just say something in the comments that you don’t know the sex yet! Or maybe this is a sign! Are you going to find out at the anatomy scan? Your announcement is super cute regardless
@blitzybee I did respond to couple people's comments that we don't know the sex yet but for those that don't read the comments I think are just assuming we are having a boy haha But we are finding out the sex at our AS which is Monday! So hopefully Monday I can end everyone's confusion. I also got comments after asking why I posted blue booties if we dont know if it's a boy. It's like sorry I didn't know I did because they are grey 🤷♀️ Sometimes I really dislike that blue has to be boy and pink has to be girl! But maybe my mistake is a sign 😀
