I feel so validated right now. I’m already enjoying the whole not having to suck it in or worry about a pudge! I’m proud of it! My aunt was talking to me about bathing suits for an upcoming family reunion and how there were ‘nice one pieces, or I could wear track shorts with a shirt’ and I’m like uhhhh...I’m gonna be rocking a bikini with this belly!
FFFC I do still put a tank over it with dhs family/friends, but with my family at the cottage it's bare belly and i imagine at our little local beach this year I won't care either.

P.S. I never take off a one piece to pee, just pull the crotch of the bathing suit to the side. It's already stretchy material and I haven't noticed damage and I've done it for years, but I guess if you have a super expensive suit you might not want to risk stretching it.

I totally get it with the crotch-swipe, my problem is with toddler following me EVERYWHERE and then possibly mimicking it. Or Heaven forbid it become a logistical nightmare, depending on how I carry. If I can't get my bikini line (I'm going to be talking to someone at a salon today about waxing), I don't know how much I trust myself to be able to get to the bottom to move it. But I do like the alternative because I have several one-pieces that are super cute AND keep The Girls from escaping, even with vigorous pool play. Thanks for the reminder!

@MamaK225 A one piece that keeps the girls in? Do share where you got it! Swimsuit shopping makes me ragey too. There isn’t much love for us bigger busted women when it comes to two pieces especially. I love when there is a mix n match event.

Just got back from my favorite thrift store and found 4 pairs of work appropriate maternity pants that I desperately needed!! Also picked up a few things for the new little guy.
Next, I’m going to try to paint my toenails (says the girl who can barely put on socks)... this should be fun 😂😂😂.
So has anyone actually found any cute maternity swim ware? I feel like it’s all so blah. I was due in March last time so it wasn’t really an issue but we spend a lot of time at the lake in the summer so I will definitely need a few this time around
Not maternity, but this is the suit I got 2 years ago. Good boob coverage so I didn't feel like I was all skin even though I was in a two piece with a huge belly.
Only complaint: it's reversible (yay) but here that means zero support. It's literally 2 layers of fabric... but this cut/style is probably available in more supportive suits if you look around.

For any/all large-chested preggo mamas, I found this top on Amazon (I'm going to pair it with black, brown, and/or beige bottoms): https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B06WLMHHN1/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_T-0QCbBZKZZAY. I'm 5'7" and currently around a 36I and it fit comfortably/snuggly without digging or feeling like a straightjacket. Old Navy has cute Plus sized (apparently, anyone over a DD is just SOL with bathing suits) tops, but they very much feel like straightjackets and after 2-3 wears, end up irreparably breaking or you just toss it because nothing is worth *that* hassle. TBH, I mostly wore string bikinis (if you can find tops large enough, though ON's plus-sized triangles are pretty good) with DD1 and that worked best.
