I saw the knottie post, but didn't catch the last comment before it got removed. I like to try to picture who these people are and imagine them angrily typing mean things at a group of strangers in their underwear. It helps keep the rage at bay.

The F bomb lady reminds me of my SIL who goes into a rage at the flip of a switch because you said something in general that she then takes insanely personal and flips her lid on you. The last commenter probably isn't a joy to be around.

@jackie_dunny you get points from commenting and making posts. There's also points for the love-tits. In turn you get the badges although the badge for love tits hasn't been working since like early last year. They don't really mean anything other than showing how active a person has been in the community.

gardeners!!! I'm planning on finally turning the flower beds in to grass and I have a VERY dumb question... after I hoe & shovel out the fertile soil to level it out for grass seed... what the hell do I do with the old fertile soil!? like, do I take it somewhere?? Like a dump? I don't know what to do with the old dirt

Thoughts on the name Bailey for the puppy? It's the only name MH hasn't shot down. It's a bit more generic than I'd like, but I don't hate it. She will be cream colored, after all....

@chichiphin - Is there a low spot in your yard that could use some dirt? Or some pots for flowers? Other than that, I'd just say bag it and throw it in the yardage trashcan.

@brookert615 I don't know any Baileys, but it's coming up in the top 5 in like every list I've found, so I might be back to the drawing board. Our last pup was Brady, which ended up being suuuuuper common here in New England, haha.

@chichiphin DO NOT throw out your soil! You can definitely put it to good use in around your house:
1) Fill in other areas or hide features you do not like
2) Make raised beds or basket gardens (use as potting soil basically)
3) Start a compost pile (make your own fertilizer AND recycle food waste)

@chichiphin If you don't want it, lots of people are looking for free dirt. Pile it out of the way and put an ad on CL or something. Tell them they'll need a truck and a shovel so you don't need to do anything.

Speaking of gardening, I forgot to put the cover back on our new VegePod last night because I was lazy, and we came down this morning to a kitchen full of dirt. I really hope none of them buried a poop in there that I'm subsequently going to find when I'm planting this weekend. Brats!

Fun story, I just saved my boss from "having a meltdown" (his words). Our coffee machine has 8 options (black coffee, french vanilla, coffee with milk, etc.). One of the options is hot chocolate but if the machine is out of powder you basically end up with dirty brown water. And that's what happened to him so I offered one of my packets at my desk (thanks parents for the 60ct box from Costco!) and now he's good to go for the day lol. I probably just saved him from starting the weekend on the wrong foot!

Just had the worst/very embarrassing moment at the grocery store. I got paid today and I decided to treat myself to snow peas and hummus with my deli roast beef lol. Huge line, end up checking out and the cashier is like IT'S SAYING YOU HAVE NO MONEY. I panic, because I know I have money... checked my account and showed him "I HAVE MONEY"! He asked if I have a credit card and I'm like I ONLY HAVE A BANK CARD. So call the bank and they tell me my bank card is fine and to just try another machine. I end up going to another machine and it works fine... Seriously the worst feeling. Not to mention everyone was staring at me

@brookert615 ugh I hate that! My card did that at Lowe’s a couple of weeks ago when we were buying patio furniture. It always happens when there’s a huge line and everybody watching you. It’s so embarrassing! Glad you were able to
get it figured out though!

But glad it worked on another machine! also i appreciate that you put the cashier's voice in all caps for some reason haha. enjoy that food, you earned it!!! i made myself my family's "special" sandwich for "brunch" since it's like still breakfast time here & i failed to eat breakfast til now--a fried egg sandwich w/ pickles, cheese, and mayo (which i always thought was a terribly normal sandwich but turns out it's wEiRd and our family's "thing"-- Oh, & I added kim chi bc why not make a maybe-weird thing maybe-weirder.)

@kiki047 🤣🤣 well... Shoot lol. This is what happens when my caretaker instincts kick in when I'm not yet KU!

@brookert615 there's a grocery store I rarely go to that doesn't accept credit cards, only debit or cash. I went through 2 cards and like, 3 PINs before I had it right so I could pay and I did not have any cash on me! I was bumming out that I had to figure out my PIN because I never use it and have no need to get cash back. I wasn't looking around to see if anybody noticed that I was struggling to pay. Too embarrassed to look I guess! I was worried I'd have to leave everything and just walk out of the store.
