I have MS (multiple sclerosis) and slid into a flare right at the beginning of my second trimester a few weeks ago, wasn't able to feel / use my hands for about 2 weeks (so no typing for me). Silver lining: got to do bedside ultrasounds and peak in at baby while in the hosp. And heard the heartbeat for the first time! 💓

My random is that I had a crippling thought at 4 this morning on my walk to the bathroom that we could have a zombie apocalypse soon. I immediately started panicking and thinking about how little canned food we had, how we would need to board up the windows and how unprepared I am to deal with that with a newborn. And god forbid I needed to have a home delivery, how ill equipped my husband would be to do it. So that was how my day started

Sorry I've been mia. Suddenly got a burst of energy this past wk and went mad crazy on clearing out the office to transition it to a nursery! Missed all of you ladies though! Thanks for the laughs! Nipt tomorrow...super nervous. Found out about black flies in Maine during may/June and now I'm terrified so considering Florida for the babymoon instead...although madly disappointed bc it's not maine...
@nightdreamr13 I cleaned out my office to turn it into DS's big boy room this past weekend, too! We're painting it with an ocean mural on one wall. I'm excited. And by "we" I mean my mom, who has artistic talent. haha.
@zuuls_mom Can you even imagine dealing with a major catastrophe while pregnant or with a newborn??? I can't even. Mad respect for the ladies of history (and present) that dealt with really terrible crap. It does put it into perspective when I am worrying about really silly little things.
What do you guys think about a Peter Rabbit themed nursery? I'm trying to find something soft and soothing without being too girly.

I wish I would've bought a brownie at lunch, so I've been craving one since. Now me and the tot are making brownies with walnuts and dark chocolate. I can't wait. We may be doing dessert before supper

My random is suuuuper random - last night a suspicious package was found in a neighborhood near mine and the bomb squad was called in and detonated it. Just found out that it was a pipe bomb that they somehow traced back to a guy who was convicted of stalking a coworker and ultimately killed himself with cyanide in the courtroom during his trial almost TWENTY YEARS AGO back in 2001. The whole story is like a Lifetime movie it’s so bizarre and freaky.
@cammie0526 I was you the first time around - no bump for what felt like FOREVER. It felt like as soon as I got KU this time my body was like “Welcome tiny human, here let me make Mom’s ute nice and spacious for you even though you are the size of a poppy seed!!”
Also, we aren’t team green but don’t know baby’s sex yet. Woo hoo solidarity and hopes for a cooperative crotch shot at the AS!!
@zuuls_mom They haven’t said why it was stored or left there but the guy did live nearby at the time - it’s more suburban now but was mostly rural back then.

@nomangos23 I’ll live vicariously through your nursery. I am not doing one bc my kids never sleep in there. I spend the money and time and it sits empty I’ll do one when she moves into her room after we are done nursing. I love a Peter rabbit theme! I can’t remember, are you expecting a girl? I am such a fan of more neutral themes. I am not a girly girl and I’m struggling w the glitter unicorn pink purple options (and that’s clothing!)

@mamaber2204that's awesome ! My mil wants to pay someone to paint a sea design on the wall and the cost makes me cringe. I hate to sound ungrateful but I want so badly to be like "you could buy the entire furniture set for the baby plus more...." but it's awesome that your mil has such talent!

@rms924 I wish I could say it doesn't leave and come back, but with DS it went away around 26 weeks and then came back at 34. Not cool at all. Hopefully we get some relief soon and it STAYS AWAY!
