@kgg2241 omg I keep seeing those adds too and I actually want one so badly!!!! 😂😂😂
Also, @janat1717 I’m shocked you guys started one after babies were born! Our board basically went radio silent as soon as the first babies were born because nobody had time to get on these boards anymore. And TB is such a frustrating website/app sometimes to navigate that having a regular chat was so much easier, especially for hospital admissions, laboring, and live birth updates!
@kgg2241 i wish instagram knew me better and would give me ads like yours. i need that bidet. seriously one of my biggest fears of giving birth is pooping the weeks after. i have already given consideration to my bowel regimen.
also, thank you again to this board for recommending working moms. i also tried watching Ali Wong's Hard Knock Wife but started crying!!! (wtf) midway through had to turn if off. blaming my crazy hormones.
also also, my favorite board to lurk is HDBD, but like others, i don't think i will ever post because the TB seems way to public.
I am a fan of Facebook groups as I feel it’s easier to remember people and participate in daily threads/topics. On herevthere are soooooo many similar names (mama something, someone’s mama) that it’s just hard to know/remember people, at least for me. I also would be fine with just a private group to slow down the random one off posters as it doesn’t help the name thing!

You guys, I am so over the in-between clothing struggle. All my normal pants are too tight, maternity is still too big, and god knows why workout leggings aren’t acceptable office attire. I’m SO ready for the weather to finally break so I can live in sundresses and straight up muumuus
@cammie0526 UGH, YESSSS!! I wanted to wear my mat. pants this weekend, but I’m not big enough yet for them to stay up easily!! It was a real struggle! 🤣
@cateyes543 yes, I totally agree! Once we move to Facebook it’ll be easier to remember everyone bc there’s a picture by the name. On the bump, everything is so anonymous.
@cammie0526 i have been non-stop complaining about having nothing to wear to work. I can make stuff fit but i'm so uncomfortable. i'm too scared i'll flash my crotch if i try the rubber band trick at work. i just bought my first maternity pants from Uniqlo for work and looking for more without spending too much $$$. can't wait for summer!
I've been mia for the past wk....been soooo busy but I've missed you ladies! Had a Dr appt on Friday and I finally heard the heartbeat!! We are only at 11 wks and she moved the edd to Oct 1. I really don't want to leave the Sept group though so do y'all mind if I just hang out with y'all for the next 6 months?? Pretty Please? We also had an ultrasound and got to see our munchkin bounce around and wave to us. Maybe I was imagining it but I was like hi buddy!!! Hi!!!! Momma just wants to squeeze you so tight! Haha. We drove 3 hr each way to finally tell my best friend in person. Then had dinner with the family, then breakfast the next day with my husband's best friend to tell them. Plus working lots of overtime to try to earn some extra leave time. It's so crazy that so many people know now. Oh and have I mentioned that I'm exhausted? Dh is amazing...has done all the driving, cooking and cleaning while I've slept like 15 hr a day! And I still wake up tired .I hope to get my energy back soon!!
It's so exciting to be on this journey with you guys! I'm also in the awkward bloaty my pants don't fit but maternity is just too big stage. I finally resorted the the hair tie method!
@janat1717 Ahh, I agree. I went for 2 walks this weekend with my husband and it felt sooo amazing. We've been cooped up too long and it was really wearing on us. And this weekend was one of my better ones. Chalking it up to the fresh air and exercise! Here's to hoping Spring makes a fast appearance for all of us!
@cammie0526 and @dahliasanddogs I finally went to Kohl’s this weekend and bought some maternity work pants. Their selection is TIIIIINY! But they had so much on clearance it was amazing! I bought jean shorts for spring for $3 and the work pants were $13 each. Their maternity shirts with the elbow-length sleeves were SO soft too! Definitely check them out. I’ve been sporting the leggings and long sleeve Old Navy jersey swing dresses for tooooo loooong! I needed to branch out!
Also, their Tek Gear Dry-Tek workout clothes were on sale and have a large selection of “long” styles tops and zip up jackets and such right now, so I bought a bunch of those in a size up and it’s essentially maternity!
@nightdreamr13 100% definitely stay with us!!!! But also make sure you find some mamas in here with due dates that last week of September (mines the 19th so I’m close!) to buddy up with because once people start posting in early to mid-August that their babies came and you knoooow your LO isn’t coming for a while longer and you’re huge and miserable, you’ll start to hate everyone and everything! Hahaha so it’s good to have others to vent with and state how much you hate everyone with... because you don’t REALLY hate everyone... but you also TOTALLY do!
@sunshine2417 I didn't even think about that! Great advice! I was thinking staying in September with so many people ahead of me gave me an advantage of knowing what's coming haha!
@nightdreamr13 Haha you definitely get to hear about what’s coming and read all the wonderful birth stories which are beautiful and amazing and so fun! But sometimes can be scary. And exhausting when you just want your munchkin OUUUUUTTT! In our small group from my last bump board, two women still joke about how they hated all of us after the babies were born (one literally was one month and one day after mine) and how they side chatted about it all the time. It’s funny in hindsight but exhausting in the moment.
I just looked at the weather forecast and my local forecast says 8-12" of snow between Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon. Noooo. I'm over it. It's almost spring. PLEASE bring the warm weather soon!!! @zuuls_mom@otherCOmamaswhosusernamesIcan'trecallatthismoment
@lillywonderland the funny thing is it's currently in the 50's right now in Denver and a high of 60 tomorrow and then BAM! foot of snow hahaha. @mamaber2204 I am totally dreading it! We're supposed to drive to WY on Friday morning so the weather better lock it up before then.
@nightdreamr13 stay with us! Though I agree it’s hard to be tail end of the month! My second was nov 26 (and he came on his due date!) and that was brutal!
@supermom34482 TMI *** did you know you could get the equivalent of varicose veins in that area during pregnancy****TMI. Don’t ask me why I know this...I am so traumatized. Ftr, it goes away, thank god.
@rms924 since my 1st I've had issues...aka hemorrhoids. I pushed for almost 3 hours with her and it was tough. I'm pretty sure I've got something going on but it always seems to be better when I go to the dr and I forget to ask
@supermom34482 it seems inappropriate to “like” but I am with you. This is my 3rd rodeo and I just hope everything migrates back ( except for my boobs because that’s hopeless!).
@rms924 I’m with you on early pain, at the end of my first pregnancy and following it post partum, I developed osteitis pubis, eventually I had an MRI and that’s when they diagnosed me with that and gave me a combo of aspirins to take, and that cleared it, but now it’s back and gonna be a long 6 more months, only able to do regular strength Tylenol and alternate hot/cold on the area. Can you send a message to your doctor when the pain is happening? My doctor/hospital has a MyChart app and I can send messages to them when I have a simple question.
You guys, I binge-watched all of Working Moms last night (can't remember who had originally recommended it here) since I couldn't sleep. It was so good!! I'm sad there isn't any more to watch.
I found out I have TMJ yesterday at the dentist. I guess that explains my extra headaches. Apparently I actually cracked a wisdom tooth with my first trimester stress. Oops. He says nothing should need to be done until after baby is born which is a relief but I hope I don't need a tooth pulled right after.
@themadcamel hahaha that's awesome! I started watching it, but I'm only a few episodes in. MY DH is not into it so I don't usually have much time to watch it.
We are really into Big Brother Canada, so lately we are watching the episodes or live feeds. Haha
@septoctkids I wish. I think our strategy should be that one person points them to the correct place to post and then no one else responds so the post falls to the bottom.
@septoctkids I like @kgg2241’s strategy...but unfortunately there’s always a “white knight” who answers the question and bumps it back up. I hate clutter!!
@septoctkids that's where snark comes in handy!! But some people think that's too mean and it causes more "white knighting" like @lillywonderland said.
@RedBreast35@septoctkids@lillywonderland We are a MUCH nicer board than my last BMB (that I only lurked on because of how snarky they were), but yeah, it is contributing to the clutter. At least people aren't afraid to post, though. Those ladies on my last group were MEAN! I don't know how to solve for the white knight problem.
@mamaber2204 I totally agree. That’s a good way to look at it that people are comfortable. My last bmb was awful. So many mean people. I didn’t even go on it anymore because I never posted, and I felt bad seeing how badly some people were being treated. I really like our group. @RedBreast35@lillywonderland I didn’t know it bumps them back up. I thought they just got pushed down when new posts got posted. Good to know. So better for us just to ignore them.
@zuuls_mom yes it’s me and this Colorado weather we are expecting is freaking me out!!! Bomb cyclone whaaaaat!!!? Good luck on Wednesday and stay out of it if possible! @mamaber2204
(I have no idea why I didn’t get my little notification that you had tagged me)
