@naturelove35 It may have been in a joking/self deprecating way but I hate when pregnant women refer to themselves as "fatties" our bodies are changing, we are doing an amazing thing growing one or more human beings. Many of us have a hard time with the changes in our bodies during pregnancy/post partum and talking negatively about our bodies does not help. We need to focus on the amazing things that are happening as we grow to love all the temporary and permanent changes to our bodies.

Just had my 16 week checkup! Nothing much to report, other than both twins seem to be doing well. Got to see them on the portable ultrasound again (it’s my 5th time getting to see them - I feel spoiled!) and they’ve grown so much in the last month. They’re both really active too!
Heading back to elective ultrasound #2 to try to find out gender on Wednesday. (Happily, they bring you back for free if they can't get it the first time.) Come on little babe!
Had our 16 week appt today! Found the heartbeat right away, did a blood draw for spina bifida screening, and scheduled our AS for 4/12!
My doc wants my to come in for an early glucose screening next week (17w) since I have PCOS and am more prone to diabetes. Reallyyy hoping not to have GD, and especially not to find out this early!
I had my 18+ week appt last week and got a quick ultrasound to check gender of baby and got some super cute pics in the process.. I do not know what we are having yet and will have the gender reveal party this upcoming weekend. I can’t wait!!!! Then have my anatomy scan April 11..
I hope for that too @dogmomma096 because Lord knows PCOS has taken enough from you. <----She can go F herself. So happy your 16 week appointment went well friend
People think we become mothers when we give birth but the truth is we become mothers the moment we start calling our babies to us in our thoughts, dreams and prayers. Some paths are short and some are so long that you can easily forget where you were headed.

Our 16-week appointment was last Thursday. Nothing exciting to report, which was good news! His heartbeat was perfect, AS scheduled for 4/9 at 20 weeks. Our nurse said we can bring a flash drive to plug into the ultrasound machine and record the anatomy scan, so I'm looking forward to that.
@thirdtimesacharm2019 Ha! Did your doctor record it on the VHS, or did YH film it? I hope you can record yours, too! It may be a totally standard thing, I just didn't realize it.
Our anatomy scan is this Friday!! I’m so excited about it I can hardly contain myself, we will be finding out baby’s gender. However...I got struck with anxiety over it yesterday...no not for any particular reason. I guess just the gravity of having all the details of baby’s health analyzed just hit me.
@oklahomak I've never heard of that but that sounds awesome!! I was wondering if we'd be able to at least get digital copies of pictures from our AS. My OB didn't say anything - I wonder if I should call to ask? It probably doesn't matter, they'll do whatever is standard. I know that my cousin had a whole portal where she could access tons of images from her AS, but she went to a practice in a totally different state.
Old school here. They just gave us 2 profile shot printouts. still exciting none the less.
@emqbee I was nervous before the a/s too. With every "normal"/"healthy"/"growing well" etc the u/s tech said my blood pressure came down a notch and I breathed a little easier. Fx you also have a great scan!
