Well babies were too impatient to wait until monday. My breech baby kicked me vag so hard this morning it broke my water. Rushed to the hospital via ambulance and had a csection as I was bleeding and they werent are if it was from me or baby. Everyone is good and healthy, in the nicu for typical preemie stuff (sugars and feeding. Lungs are perfect!). One baby weighed 6lb10oz and the other 5lb6oz. Big babies for 35 weeks!!
Haven't had too much time on here to post but baby girl made her grand entrance at 36 weeks. Ms. Jocelyn was born January 12, 2019 at 631 a.m. Pre-E went full blown she had stopped growing. Within 6 hours of the start of induction she was here. All 5lbs 5 oz. Baby is tiny butbstrong, working hard to beat all the preemie tests to go home.
My road is a bit harder. Bp is acting like a world class rollarcoaster. High low high. It will take a few months but it will stabelize. From here on out it's keeping baby thriving as mission number 1. Keep those babies cooking as long as you can.

Our baby, Cooper, made his arrival on Tuesday, 1/15/19 at 6:16PM. Due to preeclampsia, I was induced Monday night at 37 weeks 3 days. I dilated very quickly—at 10AM I was 1cm...by 2:30PM I was 10cm and ready to push. The baby’s head was low from the start, so the doctors and nurses were surprised it still took 3 hours of pushing—but thank goodness for epidurals! We didn’t find out the sex beforehand, so my husband shouting out “It’s a boy!” will always be an amazing memory. We are both doing great and came home today—my high blood pressure stayed within normal ranges the entire delivery and has stayed normal since. We are blessed & thankful! Even though he was 3 weeks early, he came in at 7lbs 11oz and 21.5 inches long!
We quite abruptly welcomed our little Aodhan into the world on January 22! My water broke on the morning of the 21 and we drove through the worst winter storm to get to the hospital...enroute we got stuck in a snowdrift...had to call 911! Little Aodhan is doing well...a bit early at 36/6 so he.was in the hospital a little longer and had a bit of light therapy! But now home and doing great. We are so in love. quite
She's here! After a slight delay getting into the OR everything went wonderfully. Baby arrived weighing a quite healthy 9 lbs 8.75 oz and is 21 inches long. She's figured out how to breastfeed like a champ. Her brothers are completely in love. Still can't get the name decided so I'll update that later. Until then, here she is! ETA she was born at 39 weeks and 2 days on our scheduled c section date.
Feb 19 turned Jan 19 and team green turned team blue. Drew Kenneth was born at 38 weeks on January 28th weighing 6lbs 14oz. Contractions started at 530am really low and didn't quit. Went to work for a bit then to the hospital and he was here before 4pm! He's healthy with a full head of red hair and his sisters love him!
Nolan Daniel arrived at 2:12 this morning. 10 days early and 3 days before scheduled c section. We are so in love and can’t wait for his big sisters to meet him!
Anako Rose made her appearance at 7:43am this morning! Timeline: 10am went in for NST at 38 1/2 weeks when my blood pressure suddenly rose this week. 11am admitted to labor and delivery due to diagnosis of preeclampsia. Was already dialated at 4cm but didn't know it. 12pm They put me on iv and magnesium for the preeclampsia 2pm Since platelets were low they started an epidural that is patient controlled. (I hit the button a lot later on!) 3:45pm Started pitocin to start labor at 5cm. 8ishpm Broke my water. Then I dialated slowly. 4am They told me to start pushing 7:43am Baby girl is born!
This FTM is exhausted. ❤Every finger poke from the gestational diabetes was worth it. Even the quick decision to have me stay because of severe preeclampsia was worth it. Right now still at the hospital for observation. Most issues of preeclampsia disappear 24hrs after the baby is born. They will take me off magnesium soon and observe my blood pressure. Taking this time to be with my daughter and husband has been great even though recovery seems slow. And they told me a I can eat normal food again! Although I haven't because of nausea:)
Best wishes for you February Moms! I hope you have amazing birth stories❤
Our little Norman arrived Feb 8 at 3:33pm via C-section weighing in at 8.2lbs and 20.5 inches at 38 weeks and 1 day. My blood pressure was abnormally high at our 38 week ob appointment so they sent me over to labour and delivery. I was induced that night and sent home to wait for contractions to start. We went back to the hospital the next morning to continue with the induction. While rupturing my membranes the doctor realized that baby Norm was not positioned properly. An ultrasound confirmed he was in a frank breech position and would now need to be delivered via C-section. We are both recovering well and may even get to go home tomorrow! We are so excited and blessed to have this little man in our lives. Good luck to all the other mamas still awaiting their bundles of joy. The journey is worth the wait
Baby Dean Adam was finally born at 41w1d last night, Feb 9th at 8:54pm. He weighed 8 lbs and 8 oz, and hes just perfect.
It's been a really long process, I went in to be induced at 41 weeks on friday, which led into Saturday, until I got stuck around 8cm, and the contractions started stressing baby out. So then, after trying various induction methods for 2 days, we ended up doing a c-section. But the procedure went great, and now we get to bond with our little guy.
Meet George! Born Feb 11th at 39 weeks & 3 days! After 14 hours of labor (3 hours of pushing), totally unmedicated, the doctors determined he was sunny side up, too big for my pelvis and got stuck when he was crowning. Therefore, George was born via C section at 8 lbs 12 ounces & 20 inches long!
Introducing Jack Oliver Brungart, delivered 2/17 by caesarean after 32 hours because he’s a meaty 8 lbs. 7 oz. and 21.5” long, both mama and baby are doing great.
Isla Marie born 2/13/19 at 11:03am 6 lb. 7 oz. And 20 in. long! I was induced at 39 weeks on the 12th at 10:45pm, contracocont began around 2am HARD and after about 30 minutes of pushing, she was here! We are so in love! ♥️
Little Lucien made his appearance at 41 weeks on February 10th.
Was scheduled to be induced at 8 am that morning. However! Contractions started during the night. At 5:30 am I woke up to regular contractions that I couldn't sleep through. They began to increase in intensity and soon followed 4-1-1. I'd been having prodromal labor since 36 weeks so wasnt 100% convinced they were real. I was in a daze.
Called hospital at 7:30 am to confirm appointment. We made it at 8 am. I sat in the roo. while they talked to me about the induction process. They checked my cervix shortly after. 5, almost 6 cm dilated! It was go time.
I was somehow able to talk and even laugh through those early contractions, but I was having back labor. So dh said it would probably be good to get the epidural as a precaution. I agreed. 6 cm I requested it. The anesthesiologist was in an emergency csection, which I understood. I would rather give birth vaginally without the epidural than by csection. He made it to me an hour later. I think it was too late. The epidural failed, so I realized fast I'd be doing it pain relief free. I was scared but at the same time in hindsight am not too upset. Part of me wanted to try it without pain relief this time.
I was progressing fast. They broke my water at 8 cm and I went straight to 10 after. He was hard to push out but came out at 12:47. 9 lbs 9 oz. 22", with a head circumference of almost 15 (his head is why I had trouble pushing).
I did have some complications. I had to stay in l&d for a while because pieces of my placenta were stuck. The attending midwife had to pull them out. It was gross. Then found out the epidural leaked when I developed a migraine that not even percocet would touch. Also got phlebitis from my iv. That still hurts 2 weeks later. Despite all that I've recovered well and had minimal baby blues.
Lucien is doing well and weighed 10 lbs 3 oz at his last appointment
The gender surprise was revealed when our daughter Eleanor arrived 2/17. My cervical balloon was put in two days before and did its job of dilating me to 4 cm by the time we showed up at the hospital at 4 am for the induction. By 6 am I was on my pitocin drip. They broke my water somewhere around 10 am. Just before 11 am the nurse told me to get ready to start pushing and called my doctor. By 11:38 she was here in her 9 lbs 10 oz glory! Her shoulder was a little stuck but otherwise she made it out with no complications. I even managed to avoid getting an epidural this time, mainly because it went SO FAST. Such a huge difference in deliveries compared with the 24 hour labor, 3 hour pushing, an epidural that wore off, and ultimate C-section with my son. My doctor was amazing; he stayed for the whole pushing stage and coached me through everything. He's known for supporting his VBAC patients and showed me first hand that he deserves his reputation. Congrats to everyone who has already welcomed their little one and good luck to those still waiting!
I'm so excited to announce that my newest DD, April Ariah, 7lbs8oz 21in, was born on 2/23. Thanks to all those who stuck it out on this BMB with me, especially my Wednesday ticker change gals; y'all are the best!
Congrats to all who have babes earthside already and my well wishes to those mamas still patiently waiting for their big day!
I dealt with loads of prodromal labor for about a week, went in for a prenatal appointment on 2/22 at 11:30am cervix was closed and high. More intense contractions later on that night, went to the L&D around 1:30am on 2/23 and had dilated to 5cm. Labored naturally for another 8 hours and felt exhausted. Was only at 7cm, decided to get the epidural and sleep. Felt loads of vaginal/rectal pressure around 2pm, asked the OB to check me and I was complete. The nurse ended up catching baby after 1 push and the OB rushed in just in time to unwrap the cord around DD's neck. DD is a breastfeeding champion and she is adored by DS-3yo and DD-20mos.
Our DD Eleanor Paige arrived February 23rd at exactly 40 weeks. She was 6lbs12oz and 19.5 inches. After complaining about no progress either early morning the 23rd or late evening the 22nd, my bag of waters broke at 3:55 am while laying in bed on the 23rd. I took a shower and headed to the hospital, we arrived around 2 hours later after water broke, I was having mild contractions 5-1-1. During check in I was at 6 and asked for the epidural. I got to my room and contractions intensified I got to an 8 before I finally got the epidural all while going over all the consent questions. I quickly got to a 10, but she had not dropped, they gave me picotin to help her drop, and let me try to push, she got stressed and my bp went up so they took me off of the picotin. She was apex causing issues and side back labor and had not dropped because her cord was around her neck. I pushed for 26 minutes and she came out at 1:50 pm. Other than a jaundice concern, we are both healthy. They are running follow up tests on her in the next hour, if all goes we’ll be heading home today. Good luck and hang in there moms still waiting on baby.
Caroline Saige arrived February 28th at 10:15am - 8lbs3oz. A fashionable six days late! But we got the natural birth we wanted after labour spontaneously began the evening before and she’s healthy as can be so her tardiness is excused Eating well and sleeping well so far! Her big sister and brothers got to meet her tonight - such a precious moment. Hubby was amazing throughout it all and we’re all overjoyed to have a new precious bundle of love in our family. Looking forward to heading home soon Good luck to those still waiting to give birth to their precious babes - best wishes for a beautiful experience.
I just wanted to share my baby boy with you guys since this was our original birth month, but he was born today March 2nd, at 5:13 pm. My waters broke (and basically shot out of me) at midnight this morning as I was violently vomiting up some crap food that I had eaten. My contractions started immediately and were immediately strong and less than 5 minutes apart which went on for 3 hours at home until we finally got to the hospital and after I could barely make it into the car. The midwife had been telling us to wait the entire time because we kept calling her from home since I was in so much pain. She didn’t believe that I was having contractions that close together yet, well, she was very wrong! I had to be wheeled in a wheel chair up to our delivery room, they checked my cervix right away and I was already at 6 cm. This is my first child by the way! My contractions then got even closer together and even more painful, they were happening every less than 1 minute apart by the time I caved on my water birth plan and got the epidural 3 and a half hours after arriving at the hospital. I was so out of it that I couldn’t even look people in the eye who were trying to talk to me. As soon as that epidural needle went in the pain relief was almost immediate and my whole body felt so warm and numb, it was heaven after what definitely felt like hell. The regular contractions went on until delivery despite me not being able to feel them. I wasn’t able to sleep just because of excitement but I nodded in and out of being a functional person all throughout the day. They checked my cervix at 12:30 and I was at 8.5 cm, then again at about 3 and I was fully dilated and they said I could start pushing despite feeling nothing and I agreed. They let me know when I was having contractions so that I could push with them. At this point I think I was falling asleep as I was pushing, I was so exhausted. The contractions started to get so strong that I could feel the pressure to push even through the drugs, it just felt like I was extremely constipated and trying to push out a huge bowel movement. The pushing went on for about 2 hours and it felt like forever. I thought I would never be able to push him out completely even though I could see and feel his head crowning in the mirror they set up for me. The drugs either started to wear off by this time or just were not strong enough for the trauma/ pain my body was going through. I thought they were going to have to cut me open to get him out although the midwife and nurses said nothing but encouraging things the entire time, I would not have made it through without them. ❤️ They had to keep telling me to stop pushing with every contraction because I was starting to over heat and get a fever, and at that point I could feel the pressure from the contractions and was so determined to get him out as soon as possible that I just pushed as hard as I could with every single one, three big pushes with each one. Finally with the last one, I pushed out his head and they pulled his body out with it! I was in a dream that I could not believe when they put him on my chest and I held him for the first time and he whimpered for about 1 minute before trying to find nipples lol. IF I wasn’t so exhausted that I was having a mind out of body experience I would have cried, but I could only smile and think about how lucky I am. 🥰
Hey all, thought I would share. Our little girl was born March 5th, 6 days overdue. She was 9lbs, 4oz and almost 22 in long. The doctor had us come in that morning to be induced. I was already dilated to a 3. She induced me by inserting a balloon above my cervix and filling it with water, and applying cervadil next to my cervix. Then she had us walk around to have the water filled balloon put pressure on my cervix. I started having non-painful contractions every 2-3 minutes- they felt like strong Braxton hicks. We walked from 8am- to 5pm. Then she checked me and I was an 8! I didnt even think it was working cuz there was no pain. She took the balloon out and broke my water, then things got intense and I got into the tub and baby Eliza was born less then an hour later. I had a 1st degree tear but I feel so amazing this time compared to my first birth (had an epidural and episiotomy).
