My road is a bit harder. Bp is acting like a world class rollarcoaster. High low high. It will take a few months but it will stabelize. From here on out it's keeping baby thriving as mission number 1. Keep those babies cooking as long as you can.

ETA #2 - her name is Allison Elizabeth
Timeline:
10am went in for NST at 38 1/2 weeks when my blood pressure suddenly rose this week.
11am admitted to labor and delivery due to diagnosis of preeclampsia. Was already dialated at 4cm but didn't know it.
12pm They put me on iv and magnesium for the preeclampsia
2pm Since platelets were low they started an epidural that is patient controlled. (I hit the button a lot later on!)
3:45pm Started pitocin to start labor at 5cm.
8ishpm Broke my water. Then I dialated slowly.
4am They told me to start pushing
7:43am Baby girl is born!
This FTM is exhausted. ❤Every finger poke from the gestational diabetes was worth it. Even the quick decision to have me stay because of severe preeclampsia was worth it. Right now still at the hospital for observation. Most issues of preeclampsia disappear 24hrs after the baby is born. They will take me off magnesium soon and observe my blood pressure. Taking this time to be with my daughter and husband has been great even though recovery seems slow. And they told me a I can eat normal food again! Although I haven't because of nausea:)

It's been a really long process, I went in to be induced at 41 weeks on friday, which led into Saturday, until I got stuck around 8cm, and the contractions started stressing baby out. So then, after trying various induction methods for 2 days, we ended up doing a c-section. But the procedure went great, and now we get to bond with our little guy.
Introducing Jack Oliver Brungart, delivered 2/17 by caesarean after 32 hours because he’s a meaty 8 lbs. 7 oz. and 21.5” long, both mama and baby are doing great.
Was scheduled to be induced at 8 am that morning. However! Contractions started during the night. At 5:30 am I woke up to regular contractions that I couldn't sleep through. They began to increase in intensity and soon followed 4-1-1. I'd been having prodromal labor since 36 weeks so wasnt 100% convinced they were real. I was in a daze.
Called hospital at 7:30 am to confirm appointment. We made it at 8 am. I sat in the roo. while they talked to me about the induction process. They checked my cervix shortly after. 5, almost 6 cm dilated! It was go time.
I was somehow able to talk and even laugh through those early contractions, but I was having back labor. So dh said it would probably be good to get the epidural as a precaution. I agreed. 6 cm I requested it. The anesthesiologist was in an emergency csection, which I understood. I would rather give birth vaginally without the epidural than by csection. He made it to me an hour later. I think it was too late. The epidural failed, so I realized fast I'd be doing it pain relief free. I was scared but at the same time in hindsight am not too upset. Part of me wanted to try it without pain relief this time.
I was progressing fast. They broke my water at 8 cm and I went straight to 10 after. He was hard to push out but came out at 12:47. 9 lbs 9 oz. 22", with a head circumference of almost 15 (his head is why I had trouble pushing).
I did have some complications. I had to stay in l&d for a while because pieces of my placenta were stuck. The attending midwife had to pull them out. It was gross. Then found out the epidural leaked when I developed a migraine that not even percocet would touch. Also got phlebitis from my iv. That still hurts 2 weeks later. Despite all that I've recovered well and had minimal baby blues.
Lucien is doing well and weighed 10 lbs 3 oz at his last appointment

I dealt with loads of prodromal labor for about a week, went in for a prenatal appointment on 2/22 at 11:30am cervix was closed and high. More intense contractions later on that night, went to the L&D around 1:30am on 2/23 and had dilated to 5cm. Labored naturally for another 8 hours and felt exhausted. Was only at 7cm, decided to get the epidural and sleep. Felt loads of vaginal/rectal pressure around 2pm, asked the OB to check me and I was complete. The nurse ended up catching baby after 1 push and the OB rushed in just in time to unwrap the cord around DD's neck. DD is a breastfeeding champion and she is adored by DS-3yo and DD-20mos.

After complaining about no progress either early morning the 23rd or late evening the 22nd, my bag of waters broke at 3:55 am while laying in bed on the 23rd. I took a shower and headed to the hospital, we arrived around 2 hours later after water broke, I was having mild contractions 5-1-1. During check in I was at 6 and asked for the epidural. I got to my room and contractions intensified I got to an 8 before I finally got the epidural all while going over all the consent questions. I quickly got to a 10, but she had not dropped, they gave me picotin to help her drop, and let me try to push, she got stressed and my bp went up so they took me off of the picotin. She was apex causing issues and side back labor and had not dropped because her cord was around her neck. I pushed for 26 minutes and she came out at 1:50 pm.
Other than a jaundice concern, we are both healthy. They are running follow up tests on her in the next hour, if all goes we’ll be heading home today.
