@mrskoz428 I had some essential oil mix specifically for headaches but it got lost in the move. As far as a chiropractor, my insurance doesn't cover it and we really can't afford the expense, so I've never tried. I could use something though. I'm pretty sure I'm going to throw up soon from this headache.
@mrskoz428 Are you able to take a prenatal yoga class near you? Or maybe find some classes on YouTube. The class that I took last week, showed us this amazing move for loosening up your hips and I use it all the time at night when I can't sleep b/c my hips and legs are locked. Here are some examples that may be helpful https://greatist.com/move/prenatal-yoga-poses.
@eatinwatermelonseeds I've decided I'm asking for Fioricet. I'm sick of taking so much Tylenol and it honestly really doesn't help. I'd rather take one Fioricet to just knock it out than 6-8 Tylenol/day. I'm staying within the daily safe limits my OB mentioned but it's just a lot and it doesn't go away, just dulls it until it returns, strong as ever.
@DuchessOfCambridge I may talk to my doctor, I've just been feeling terrible overall and the headache is compounding everything and making it all so much worse. Tylenol helps, but not much or for long.
@bgdwg I just started noticing the shortness of breath about 2 days ago. I was actually going to ask my doctor if its normal for that to start so soon. I feel like lose my breath just doing the simplest things anymore. Is it just the baby and there's nothing I can really do or is it lack of real exercise for the past 5 months lol. If I started exercising again would it help?
@llhfreedom I'm not sure either! Google says it's from pregnancy hormones and the uterus shifting upwards as baby grows. I had more breathless moments yesterday but none today. So very strange. I'm just glad it's "normal" otherwise I would think something is wrong with me!
Well I had a new “fun” symptom on Thursday. I had to renew my BLS (CPR) at work and every time I would try to do compressions I would get soooo dizzy that I felt like I was going to pass out. Thankfully the instructors took mercy on me and I was able to recertify and I’m good for another 2 years now but it was sooner scary.
@MelissaMay82 so what you're saying is I probably shouldn't take ACLS while pregnant? 😂 Ugh. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. Compressions should count as a legit work out.
@bgdwg yes! My LO has been working out all the time. I’m finally feeling belly button height kicks. DH got to feel her roll over last night. She’s been so active I’ve been doing daily kick counts! We average 10 kicks in about 3.5 minutes when I track. I love this feeling!
I've been having horrible migranes the past two weeks or so. They'd last days at a time. I was taking more than the recommended 3000mg of Tylenol a day. I was miserable.
CHOCOLATE! Now I keep dark chocolate in my purse and it helps like nothing else. I usually eat a piece before I get out of bed in the mornings because that's when the migranes can start. It has been a lifesaver. I go through a bar of good dark chocolate every few days but I don't even bother with Tylenol anymore.
@missmcgonnagal could it be the caffeine in the chocolate that’s helping? I don’t know if you were a caffeine drinker or not or if you cut back or not but I’ve noticed that some days, caffeine is the only thing that will clear my headaches!
@mrskoz428 I would maybe have a cup of coffee or a cup of tea some mornings. Never been a huge caffeine person. I don't drink soda. I tried drinking caffeine to deal with the migranes but it didn't help. So far only chocolate is my salvation.
I just woke up from a nap. Mykidney pain has now switched to my right side and my appetite has disappeared. I’ve had a bagel with cream cheese at 8:30 this morning and nothing since...I just want to feel normal! Ugh!
@DuchessOfCambridge So far I'll just grab a good bar of dark or extra dark off the nearest shelf and nibble on that and it's really helped. Right now I have 70% Lindt truffles in my purse and I'll pop one or two of those for the migranes.
GIANT FUCKING CAVEAT. I went back to school on Monday for the first time since I started getting migranes. Those florescant lights were muuuurrrrdeerrrr. In 8 hours I went through a full bar of dark chocolate with sea salt and while it helped, it didn't make the migranes go away as it usually does.

I'm sorry you're being plagued by migraines, too. They're horrible.
ETA ibuprofen is 3200mg a day, for future reference.
