They are hoping that the cause is my uterus pushing on the ureter just right to cause a back up. Usually it doesn’t cause this much dibilitating pain, but it’s their only hope. They are thinking by 24 weeks or so, baby will have grown enough to move up and off the ureter. Apparently the squishing is normal, but the pain is not.
You guys, I have the best DH! I spent the afternoon/evening Christmas shopping and dining out with two of my girl friends (and zero kids). It was awesome. The best part though, was coming home to a clean house. I had been feeling really overwhelmed with housework lately. DH had cleaned the kitchen, his half of our room, the bathrooms, started laundry, and was shampooing the living room carpet. He just earned some major brownie points!
I'm so glad your husband gave you a day off today, what a relief!
