@Dcwtada@eleven_ Thanks ladies. She is doing well. We have to monitor her for a couple of days for any signs of TBI, but she seems good otherwise. Absolutely terrifying though!
@carleym93 - Ugh! What a nightmare. I hope everything turns out just fine, but man.... scary stuff.
A few weeks ago my cousin stepped out of the shower just in time to see her 2 year old son's feet flip over the second story windowsill. He landed flat on his back in the yard below.....somehow only had the wind knocked out of him. I visited them in the hospital only to find him giggling and watching cartoons while my cousin sobbed.
DD is getting baptized on Sunday which is super exciting but it is also going to be a crazy week so I am already feeling exhausted in anticipation......Sunday 11:15-12:30 chuch/baptism service, then I work 3pm-11:30pm, Monday is my prenatal and then work right after until 11:30pm, working that same shift on Tues and Wed, then Thurs I have to be at the hospital at 9:15am which is 25 mins away...and I won't be home the night before until 11:40pm....so will I be getting any sleep next week???? I have no freaking clue. Between the chaotic schedule and insomnia I might be screwed. I am super excited for the baptism and my prenatal and NT scan appts.....but when the heck will I have time for sleeping?????
@harrierwife OMG! Toddlers are like little living heart attacks I swear. Today while we were in the hopital, she was asking for stickers and juice and I was just sitting there thanking God that she wasn’t paralyzed or dead! I’m actually convinced that toddlers are built to last because my kid has taken some serious falls that could have really injured her and ended up fine.
Raising toddlers is an exercise in keeping a human protected that is actively trying the opposite. I knew parenting would be tough but I never knew how much of your resources would be dedicated solely to ensuring basic safety.
@meatballs37 I have been having the same problem too. It’s so frustrating. Make the app super hard to deal with and when I dont have time to bump at work I pretty much don’t want to be on TB at all. @carleym93 so scary!! Glad she’s ok!!
@carleym93 so the bump decided not to show me your post but I gather your toddler did something scary and dangerous! I'm sorry they're seriously evil kenevils. I'm so glad she's okay even if your nerves are shot.
My daughter used to jump off of random places and expect someone to catch her, without any warning at all. She scared the crap out of me so many times. She was also prone to just jumping in the pool as soon as she was in her suit so someone had to hold onto her until we were actually ready to go with her.
Toddlers are frightening. I found mine climbing the outside of the staircase the other day...if he had fallen, he would have gone right from the second story down two stairways to the basement. He was so pissed off when I pulled him off.
Pretty sure toddlers think they exist only to test the laws of gravity. They can do some pretty scary stuff. Mine is in the camp that likes to jump off stuff randomly onto you and assume you'll catch him..
My toddler is getting very close to the jumping off group. At the play ground he has been pausing at the end of this one foot ledge and crouches down but *knocks on wood* still hasn't jumped. He is so accident prone, I'm scared.
I'm unmotivated at work and already hungry for lunch.
Ugggh. DH got me sick. Apparently it’s going around his office. Like EVERYONE has it. Sore throat, coughing, stuffy nose. I’m waiting for DS to come down with it, but I woke up with a sore throat this morning. I can normally avoid his sickness, but of course pregnancy reduced my immmune system 😡😡

@tuxielove93 I got a cold from DH too! He tried everything he could to not get me sick, but it didn’t work. So now I’m stuffy with a sore throat and coughing a lot ☹️
@carleym93 i will let you know tomorrow.... my very large coworker said she has been given like a bed pan to pee in instead or tiny cup.
I am eating a box of reeses pieces right now instead of the oranges i bought. Is it home time yet? 10 am here. We are going to see once upon a deadpool tonight. Cant wait
I pee directly on my hand EVERY time. I literally start with the cup SMASHED against myself and still manage to miss. I don't know how that happens.
Think I'm coming down with DH's cold too...was a little nervous that one kid on the team got super sick and was being tested for strep, and DH got sick then too, but thankfully the kid just has mono (which we've both already had). Waiting for the doc to call back on whether oral zicam is OK or not...never really tried it but if it can possibly make it less crappy, I'll give it a whirl (if it's allowed).
My daughter is having an absolute breakdown over a boy today. She broke up with this boy over a month ago but in the last week has declared she was always madly in love with him and her life is over because he didn't call her yesterday.
I wanted nothing to do with boys at her age and never went through any of this so I'm at a complete loss as to what to do with her. Times like this I wish I'd just had boys lol
Please don’t flame me - today was a hard day on this board and there was a fly by post - this is a bad mixture. But I kind of believe it could have been handled better? I know some ladies may not post a lot or some come onto the thread late ( I came late but have actively posted) I just think if you are someone who doesn’t post a lot, but want to participate here and there reactions like that might discourage people from joining in more and right now I know I want to see more members on here especially if we are sadly losing some. Just my opinion. I just feel down with everything that’s been posted this afternoon.
So I caught DS's stomach flu. (At least I'm 99% sure that is what it is). Woke up about 11pm with vomiting and the shits. Threw up about 8 times by 7am DH took DS to daycare at 630 and I threw up twice while he was gone so I called him and told him he had to take me to the ER. Got there .Got antinausea meds and 3 bags of fluid. The Dr was like wow you are really dehydrated. Yes sir. They discharged me while I was still puking and shitting. I called my ob because he gave me meds that I wanted to run by her before filling. Talked to the nurse and she was like "why did they let you leave, you are just going to dehydrate again?" Umm idk? "Why did they call us and ask us what we want?" IDK? Then she tells me she is going to talk to the Dr but I should plan to get admitted tonight. She calls back about 5 mins later to say the Dr is going to prescribe something different. I'm to try popscicles and ice chips vs water and if I can't hold anything down by 5 (4 hours later to plan to go in). Also if I get a fever of 100.4 I have to go in. Well I have kept down 2 popscicles and the sip of water I took in order to take tylenol. Fever is holding at 99.6. I have 30 mins until my phone date to see what's going to happen. I hate the threat of hospitals, just do it or don't .don't let me stew about it. All of that to say if for whatever reason you end up in the ER while pregnant call your ob and let them know. Don't call after .
@cricket1688 are you talking about the random poster who hasn’t participated here at all but to post an AW post of her US asking us to identify the sex based on the nub theory? If so, I still stand by my cute duck gif shaking his head no. Ramzii and nub theories generally don’t go well over here.
Eta: I think this group has been wonderful offering support to even the random drive by posts who actually have had an actual concerning post. IE: baby not growing at normal rate.

@cricket1688 I hear what you are saying, but I disagree. I honestly hope that people who post AW threads without reading the pinned threads or lurking are discouraged from participating more. They have already demonstrated a disregard for the board culture and rules, and as we build more personal relationships here that becomes more important. But I just don’t respond to those and I respect your right to do so.
@meatballs37 I thought gifs were a totally fine and appropriate reaction. Poster obviously didn’t get what you guys were saying through that but that’s her fault. Her post was stupid. I just think after she thought she got replies to her one off we could have given her the “we discourage posts like this” instead of what turned into a bad back and forth.
Edit- to say I totally love and respect the organization of the board it’s needed. But I know mistakes like that are bound to happen no matter how eye roll worthy they are

@TJtheGoat@meatballs37 thank you for the respectful reply. I know not everyone will agree. I appreciate the ladies on here who respect the board so much
Ugh. My post got cut off and I can’t edit. Seriously TB, fix your app!
@cricket1688. I see what you mean. People could definitely be kinder with the discouraging one off posts. But I also think it’s very AW to make a post just for yourself on guessing the sex of your baby. Especially when one of our posts today needed the most attention and support, someone that actually participated here and was a huge part of our group. Someone who posted and lifted up a lot of women here.
So I could go either way 🤷♀️

My frame of reference might be screwed up but people are almost too nice on this board. My old board would have skewered a bunch of people alive. I’m not saying that’s right. It’s not but I don’t think anything was out of line.
Read the rules, be a good citizen, listen to recommendations. I don’t think it’s all that hard especially with how gracious everyone is around here.
@meatballs37 oh I definitely agree with you. It was waaaay inappropriate.
Min a turn of subject - honestly this app is garbage and they need to get it together. I’ve constantly had issues. Part of the reason I was so late to posting here was BC it wouldn’t approve me after my 72 hour waitwindow

I understand where you're coming from @cricket1688 but I think I'm right there ^^ ...especially today.
Perhaps I'm a salty, jaded bitch, but it that one really rubbed me the wrong way today. I love our little community here and I suppose I'm defensive. I was going to reply well before I did, but deleted three different replies before deciding it wasn't worth it. Then she chimed in with the "yall should get a life" response and I just......sigh.
