See, now I just want to see them alllll, you tease! I have a true day off today, of both work and parenting, and cannot wait. The plan is, after dropping DS off: yoga, lunch with a friend who has a non trad work schedule, and probably get a pedi. I’m sure I should be doing things on the baby to do list, but... NAAAAHHH
I too have a day off! DD is in preschool and I’m done work until babies come. But lots of errands to do.. so not much of a day off but oh well. Ill take
Getting ready to put the boys on the bus then I have the day off. Have a few errands to run. Might try to grab a nap later because our dumb dog woke me up at 4 am barking at nothing.
Kids are home today and DH aid working from home. It’s a lazy day around here and I’m ready for it after being on my feet for 12+ hours yesterday while judging.
I took today off to rest since I’m still sick and DH decides to stay home to “help” and kept DS home too (was supposed to go with his grandmother) and I wish both of them would’ve left me alone to rest as DS comes in my room every 5 minutes to talk to me or just be in my face.
I am seriously feeling like I am dying. Worked too much yesterday and feeling it today. I think the dog figured out I have a kid growing inside. He is super extra cuddly. It is cute but not when I am melting already. Freaking 30 degrees out and I have a window open...
Really thought about taking a mental health day today - my anxiety is through the roof right now and I have the busiest week ahead of me. But I knew that not working would just make me more anxious (5 days of work smashed into a 4 day week ...) so I sucked it up. I've got a stash of chocolate chip cookies and mini pumpkin muffins at my desk so I'll be eating all day to get through. UGHHHHH.
@sjnsjnsjn I know lol he’s not the brightest bulb my DH. I also had to deal with the cops coming to my neighbors door (in apt bldg so literally right next door) this morning because of his ridiculous antics this weekend. I email my property manager to be like what the hell and she says she’s handling it etc but that she’s getting multiple noise complaints from our apt and needs to come inspect the apt.
so I let her up bc this douchebag that lives below me seems to think apartment living in an old pre war building with old creaky floors should be quiet 24/7 and has been bitching about us since we moved in and DS was 6 months old and barely mobile. I’m so sick of him - theres not much I can do about a three year old LIVING. He also only complains when his teenage daughters come on the weekend and has said to me before his daughters complain about it in the mornings OH WELL.
Anyway my day of rest hasn’t been restful thus far.
@danixbanani24- Oh man, that is ridiculous. I don’t miss living in old school apartment buildings or the ridiculous people who live in them and then act like they should have the experience of living in the middle of nowhere. It’s an apartment building. There will be some sounds indicating as much. Deal. Oof
@BourbonBiscuits I've been contemplating a mental health day for weeks now and keep coming to the same conclusion as you. Instead I'm going to do some work later today, on a day off, so as to not be as stressed the rest of the week. It's ridiculous.
@danixbanani24 that was really a doorknob move on behalf of your H. And on top of that appartment building problems. You should take another day off.
Ugh. Just got a call from my Dr. Hemoglobin levels are super low- so sending me to a hematologist and possible looking at iron transfusions. Yay pregnancy!
TW: 1 infant loss 8/17: Our daughter was born 8/18: Our daughter kicked open heart surgery ass 2/19: We lost our son to Prader-Willi/Paradoxical Vocal Cord/ Noonans at 6wks old 4/26/2020: EDD for baby #3!!!
I didn't have today off, but I woke up at 2am puking and it wouldn't stop all night and morning so I called in. Finally managed to sleep around 7am, and I just woke up. Feeling groggy, but not nauseous anymore so that's good. In the midst of coming home late from my IL's this weekend I forgot to take unisom, so that's probably why I was puking, but damn. I don't even feel nauseous when I'm on it, and I've been scared to stop taking it in case it's still what's keeping me normal, and now I know that's the case. What a miracle drug. Wish I didn't need it though, really didn't want to lose a day at work!

Starting to gradually venture back to work this week and man, it’s really effing hard. I worked 2 hours today and it was a struggle they’re not pushing me but I need to start working my way back for my sanity
Had a super productive day yesterday that was very baby centered. Felt super accomplished and ready for the week, but came home after working 2 jobs and running to the grocery store and I could barely make it up the stairs (lot of them in the condo building). Now, I’m feeling like I just want to relax but all these baby lists and to dos are running through my head. Wah!
@megpants209 Good for you! I remember when my DH lost his mom a few years ago unexpectedly, the best thing he did was get back to work. We found out we were expecting our first child just a few weeks after, and he desperately needed something familiar and stable to turn to. The first 2-3 weeks were hard, but a different/better kind of hard than staying home feeling lost and useless. Good luck, take it slow!
@grebretso - I’m too afraid to not take unisom. I was so sick all the time with DD and unisom was a miracle drug, like you said. I haven’t been near as sick this time, but I’m still taking it just in case.
@smallbutmighty77 - have you been feeling bad? I ran out of my iron supplement last Monday and have felt so down all week - just so exhausted and run down. I have my 28 week appointment next week and am curious how my iron levels are. I started iron again a couple days ago and am hoping that helps. Good luck to you!
@megpants209- I hope getting back to work helps. Hope the rest of the week is smooth.
Thanks guys. Still thinking I might go more part time indefinitely but I will think on that over the next few weeks. My job just isn’t one I can half ass. It definitely requires full ass at all times.
Between coughing, sneezing and I don't even know what... I'm already on my third pair of underwear today. Ugh I may need an upgrade in pantyliners, thank god it's a WFH day!
@grebretso if it helps at all, sounds like we had the same night. I felt ok for 2 days( very little nausea) so I skipped the zofran amd yeah, I'm stupid. Drug my butt to work puking and all. Puked at work and then cried. So exhausted amd icky. Luckily I found someone to close up for me and I went home. Can it be February yet?
@hnbergeron and @grebretso - Saturday was the first day I haven’t thrown up in 3 weeks (even with zofran and unisom). I proceeded to puke yesterday and today. Solidarity, ladies. I swear, you’ll feel better once the baby is born.
@hnbergeron Ugh that sucks! I looked at the clock at 5:30 am (when I usually get up for work) and thought "nope, no way", and I'm glad I stayed home. You're a hero for actually going in! I'm glad zofran works for you though, having a drug that actually works is a life changer.
@kayjay44 I have no idea how you do it. I feel totally normal with unisom, if I puked with it and stronger meds as well I have no idea what I'd do. And with two kids as well! You're a superhero.
In other news, I took my cat to the vet today for a checkup, she has a lump on her head. Good news, it's just a cyst. Bad news, I'll have to go in and drain it regularly. Ugh. She had a cyst once before, much larger than her current one, and surgically removing it was $1400 (this was before I owned her, so not my bill!). Just what we need, regular vet expenses right when we're having a baby. I guess she's old, so it's to be expected. Also, poor kitty is currently hiding under the couch, she haaates going to the vet and she'll probably be grumpy all day and tomorrow.

@kayjay44 thanks for the positivity. Zofran helps keeps the pukes down but I stil dry heave so at least nothing comes up. I also agree that you are amazing.
@grebretso i attribute me going in to workmostly because of lack of choice. I am out of paid time off and getting yet another medical bill in is a nice motivator. Plus the only real way to miss work without the threat of losing my job is to go to the hospital. Wasn't feeling it.
I am sorry to hear about your kitty though! Glad it isn't anything too crazy, just a pain. Good luck with it!
@madreofdragons she is so cute! And I love that her bear is named Steve!!
I was going to attempt commuting to work today but it is POURING out and I’m just like nah nope not happening as I am only on my third day of antibiotics for bronchitis and I really don’t want to push myself or relapse.
Anyone opposed to me starting a thread so we can chat about the Facebook migration? I know some of us had said we’d start to think about it around Thanksgiving and well, that is next week (What?! How?!).
also, holy crap, I am 29 weeks today. When looking at my app it says 11 weeks to go...next week is Thanksgiving which means I'll be 30 weeks and only TEN weeks to go. Time is FLYING.

@danixbanani24 - Trying to rest with kids st home is a total oxymoron. Hope you were able to get SOME rest.
@smallbutmighty77 - I believe @kayjay44 has to have infusions. I’m sure she’ll have some words of wisdom.
