  • @danixbanani24 that sounds like an amazing experience! And you met J.K. Rowling?!! Wow!! What an awesome job to land right out of college! Sorry you ended up at that all about profit company. It sucks when a company is all about making money. Really takes the passion out of the job. But it sounds like you got a really great job now so glad it ended up all good in the end!

Non-profit is something I have always been interested in too. I’d love to have a job where I feel like I’m making a positive impact instead of just making money/adding to the bottom line. The area I live in just doesn’t have very many good opportunities though.

  • I'm so tired today. But my in-laws are already in town and are meeting me right after I get off of work. And sometime this evening, I still have to make two breakfast casseroles for my shower tomorrow (I volunteered, as always, and am now kicking myself for it), and clean the apartment for my brother in-law and his gf who are staying with us this evening. I just want to go to bed!!!!!

@eggsandwich2019 That's a very specific topic! LOL Congratulations! You deserve to celebrate!
  • @allthingsgo might out myself here but Girl Scout regional councils hire independently  :)  there are 112 councils nation wide so I’m sure there’s one near you! Hey, ya never know what opportunities might arise  ;)

  • @eggsandwich2019-Congrats on the book deal! I fully support an actual whole glass of wine for the occasion. 🥳
  • Don’t you love all the conflicting information out there?
  • @grebretso your cat is gorgeous!

@madreofdragons all my seats have always been graco and I've been happy with them. DD is on the taller side, but she's a skinny mini tho so she hardly weighs anything. Good luck on the other 3 seats!

Have to transform the downstairs playroom into DD's room so baby can have her old room. The past few weekends I've been slowly turning the closet into a clothes closet from wooden shelves and I feel like it's taking freaking forever. Had to empty/go through the closet, remove the shelves and nailed in supports, spackle, sand, clean, and this weekend I will paint. Then to install the closet organizer. And that's just the freaking CLOSET. Then we have to arrange the whole rest of the room. Hopefully that won't take quite as long.

ETA: then finally after all that we can arrange the nursery. Where is this nesting compulsion when I need it  :D

@danixbanani24 thank you for the tip! I’ll have to see if there are any nearby!
  • 6:30am and arguing with DS that he can’t have oreos for breakfast.  Am I bad if I just cave in and give him the damn Oreos? Lol mother of the year

  • @danixbanani24 sometimes the fight isn't worth it. Oreaos for breakfast, ok but if you are not on your best behavior the rest of the day, morning treats wont happen again. . . All about balance or something right.
