@ndz2018 The whole practice is in complete shock/confusion, etc, but the only thing we can do is move forward, right?
AFM, we're going to go back to the original protocol with the EXACT schedule that we used with my first FET (*TW* which was successful *TW end*): estrace escalation, then PIO, then some combination of suppositories+PIO when we *finally* have our damn success (I'm just going to will it to happen!!). I had taken PIO for FET#2, 3, & 4, but then appeared to develop a mild allergic reaction at the injection site, so we switched to estrace & suppositories afterwards (FET#5, 6, 7). The science points to negligible differences between the two and I know FOUR couples who had successes with both methods - same set of embryos, just one time was with PIO the other was Promterium. But ... it's my last shot so I'm trying to perfectly replicate it. However, I'm also curious about some of these other things I keep hearing about: baby aspirin, etc. I will have to take Benadryl 1-3x daily because of the possibility of still having the sensitivity to PIO, but is it crazy to consider some of the others? With FET#1, I followed everything to-the-letter so I don't see why it would be different now. Maybe that's why I pay my RE the big bucks, right?

@wishing-and-hoping that is spectacular news about all of your eggs surviving the thaw and fertilization! I know unfertilized eggs aren’t quite as stable during freezing and thawing as embryos, so it’s a huge relief they all made it.

@MamaK225 thank you! Beta is 11/13, they said it's usually 9 days but that fell on the weekend... So I have to wait until the Tues I guess (since Monday is a holiday)... But I have a feeling I will test next Friday or so at home! I know how ya feel though, not to be a negative Nancy but I'm sure I'll be doing another ER at some point or another since we only have 2 embryos left now. I hope the protocol works out for you though!

You guys! I cant Catch a break, don’t worry nothing to do with my FET. I’m walking into work this morning and rolled my ankle. Since it happen at work they whisked me off the ER, got an X-ray just to make sure nothing was broken, and now I’m home icing it taking Advil while I still can and hoping the swelling/pain goes down by Tuesday.
thanks @ellemarie7 i just got the call, all 4 fertilized normally! we'll get another call tomorrow, and then won't know until Tuesday if we have anything to transfer. i had a random and cool dream last night that i got to do the fertilization in the lab with the embryologist. obviously a wildly inaccurate dream since i have no idea what they do in that lab but all the petri dishes were lined up and when the egg and sperm mixed, they turned rainbow colored and i got to watch the embryos grow (and they grew super fast), very cool! and super weird! dreams are crazy.

First PIO shot went great! My husband did it and the shot part didn't hurt at all. It was just the weird muscle pain afterwards that is a bit jarring.

Hello ladies. I have been lurking for a bit but figured maybe I should join in. I am 30 and DH is 34. DH was diagnosed with cancer so we saved some of his sperm prior to chemo. He is in remission now and we decided to try for a baby. After some testing, we found out I have PCOS and my tubes are blocked. I had ER in September. Retrieved 10, 8 mature, 8 fert and 8 blast. We did PGS and 1 normal and 1 inconclusive. I am now on estradiol for my first FET. Expecting to transfer on the 19th or 20th. Very excited and very nervous. DH has taken to steering me the long way around in stores so we avoid the baby section and I don’t try to buy anything. This all feels very surreal and I keep getting ahead of myself (I have already started painting our nursery and I am very tempted to buy furniture). Currently trying to stay positive and busy so I don’t come home with bags of baby clothes even before my transfer.
Thank you all! It’s sucks! I wanted To get so much done this weekend. We are moving so I wanted to get some of the heavy lifting stuff out Of the way... guess that’s not happening! I’ll be elevating it and icing it as much as possible.

@manders85-2 totally agree...the shot itself isn't bad it's that weird feeling afterwards. Do you rub it out a little bit to break it up? Also, do you use a heating pack at all? I'm torn this time around, I freak out that I'm elevating my body temperature too much (after transfer) but it helps so much. Thinking just not using it this time around though and only icing before...what do ya'll think?
Ladies, I had a rough day yesterday just with all of the emotions I know we all feel throughout this roller coaster of a journey. Had to pick myself back up this morning a little bit. So here's a reminder to us all that we're strong AF and WE ALL GOT THIS no matter what!!
@ ndz2018 My nurse said they could retest but I am tempted to tell them not to bother. I don’t like the idea of thawing and then freezing then thawing again.
@perrypeaches - I agree with you on the extra de-thaw/thaw process; even after our failures, we thought it best not to test the already-frozen embryos because of that extra risk. Congrats on your hubby kicking cancer's butt - I know that had to be super stressful.

I’m on mobile so will come back to tag, but finally off birth control and going in for baseline Sunday! I’m guessing my FET will be the day after thanksgiving based on how my last FET cycle went. This is our last frozen embie so praying for a little turkey out of this, otherwise will have to cycle again 😩
got the day 2 report - 1 a little behind, 2 on track, and 1 ahead of schedule embryologist said since the eggs were previously frozen, she would expect them to all be a little behind, so they are doing great and there's a chance that the one behind schedule could catch up. now we wait for transfer on tuesday and hope and pray for the best!

Hi everyone! I seem to be a little late to this thread but figure I'll reach out in hopes of some support from people that have done this before and from people that understand cause I'm clueless but nothing compared to everyone else around me lol.
We started this journey on April of this year after ttc for 5 years, PCOS, low motility and 2 ectopics. ER was September 12th and first FET scheduled for November 12th! We have 4 boy and 2 girl pgs normals and only transferring one. My husband already has an 8 year old daughter so he really wants a boy but after much back and forth we finally decided (I think lol) we're going to let the doc choose the best one! We live in Oregon and travel to Seattle for IVF so I'll be leaving this Tuesday to stay with family up there for all the appts in the next week, I have BW and US November 7th and 10th. I started Delestrogen injections (every 3 days), Metformin, and baby aspirin October 22nd, and Zpak started today. PIO starts November 7th along with Medrol 4X's daily and then Estrace 3X's daily startsNovember 9th.
Sooooo much information these last couple months my brain feels fried! And these hormones got me like.... well I don't even know but ugh it's rough!
@hclausen85 welcome! This is my first round too and it is certainly overwhelming! November 12 is right around the corner I am moving to Seattle area (30 min north of there), actually on my way now and will get there Wednesday!! If you don't mind me asking, which clinic do you use? I looked up a few there and ultimately (tentatively) decided on one in Canada...we are just waiting to hear from them to schedule and orientation and get started all over again 😫

@ellemarie7@MamaK225 it's been going well... I think! I go from excited and hopeful to nervous and pessimistic. Transfer was Thursday, and 5:00am Saturday (43 hours after my transfer) I peed and there was a dime sized watery pink-red (more pink than red) "spotting" on the tp when I wiped... Nothing since then other than that afternoon I developed a scratchy throat and a stuffy nose. The throat went away by the next morning, and the stuffy nose persists on and off. I am feeling a bit down at the moment, we just stopped to pee and I did my PIO and there was dark looking cm in my underwear and I wiped it with tp and it was dark reddish brown. So I peed and then wiped and there was again dime sized watery light red on the tp. I haven't had any spotting or bleeding since Saturday at 5 am so I don't know why I'm seeing it again 2.5 days later I hope it doesn't continue...
Hi @mkr_0128, congrats on your Thursday transfer. I'm not sure for certain, but I do know spotting can sometimes be implantation. Don't worry until your test day! This is likely implantation side effects and my fingers are crossed that it's your little bean burrowing into your lining. Keep us up to date! I'm so excited for our transfer tomorrow. We don't know the sex but we do know it's Embryo #7 and I'm happy it's a lucky number. I don't even know how I'm going to make it through the 9 day wait! @mkr_0128, you're 4 days in with only 5 days to go, right??

@ndz2018 The whole practice is in complete shock/confusion, etc, but the only thing we can do is move forward, right?
AFM, we're going to go back to the original protocol with the EXACT schedule that we used with my first FET (*TW* which was successful *TW end*): estrace escalation, then PIO, then some combination of suppositories+PIO when we *finally* have our damn success (I'm just going to will it to happen!!). I had taken PIO for FET#2, 3, & 4, but then appeared to develop a mild allergic reaction at the injection site, so we switched to estrace & suppositories afterwards (FET#5, 6, 7). The science points to negligible differences between the two and I know FOUR couples who had successes with both methods - same set of embryos, just one time was with PIO the other was Promterium. But ... it's my last shot so I'm trying to perfectly replicate it. However, I'm also curious about some of these other things I keep hearing about: baby aspirin, etc. I will have to take Benadryl 1-3x daily because of the possibility of still having the sensitivity to PIO, but is it crazy to consider some of the others? With FET#1, I followed everything to-the-letter so I don't see why it would be different now. Maybe that's why I pay my RE the big bucks, right?

First PIO shot went great! My husband did it and the shot part didn't hurt at all. It was just the weird muscle pain afterwards that is a bit jarring.

@manders85-2 totally agree...the shot itself isn't bad it's that weird feeling afterwards. Do you rub it out a little bit to break it up? Also, do you use a heating pack at all? I'm torn this time around, I freak out that I'm elevating my body temperature too much (after transfer) but it helps so much. Thinking just not using it this time around though and only icing before...what do ya'll think?

embryologist said since the eggs were previously frozen, she would expect them to all be a little behind, so they are doing great and there's a chance that the one behind schedule could catch up. now we wait for transfer on tuesday and hope and pray for the best!

We started this journey on April of this year after ttc for 5 years, PCOS, low motility and 2 ectopics. ER was September 12th and first FET scheduled for November 12th! We have 4 boy and 2 girl pgs normals and only transferring one. My husband already has an 8 year old daughter so he really wants a boy but after much back and forth we finally decided (I think lol) we're going to let the doc choose the best one! We live in Oregon and travel to Seattle for IVF so I'll be leaving this Tuesday to stay with family up there for all the appts in the next week, I have BW and US November 7th and 10th. I started Delestrogen injections (every 3 days), Metformin, and baby aspirin October 22nd, and Zpak started today. PIO starts November 7th along with Medrol 4X's daily and then Estrace 3X's daily startsNovember 9th.
Sooooo much information these last couple months my brain feels fried! And these hormones got me like.... well I don't even know but ugh it's rough!
AFM, Lining at 9.3 and type 3. It was my actual doctor doing morning monitor she said everything looks GREAT and she’ll see me tomorrow!
