@missy052819 I am congested too! I think that's why I have started snoring. I can't believe it started so early (it started at 7 weeks!). I had terrible snoring during my last pregnancy too.
I’m having a hell of a time sleeping. I keep tossing and turning all night long, can’t get comfortable, and end up waking up laying on my stomach. That is certainly not going to last long. I just need a good nights rest! I feel like I’m not getting any sleep!
@mrskoz428 I slept on my stomach most of my pregnancy last time (though toward the end I modified it a little bit by lifting my leg and relieving pressure off my belly). Super uncomfortable already this time, but it was the only way I was comfortable. Baby was fine. Sometimes he'd kick me off of him and I'd have to move, but he actually likes being squeezed tight now... Maybe that's my fault for squishing him a bit? 😂
@thebobloblaw I’m 9 weeks and my symptoms seem to have mostly tapered off with the exception of the exhaustion. It’s a total mixed blessing because on one hand I’m glad I’m less nauseous and sore but on the other hand PGAL brain is driving me nuts.
Keep in mind the placenta takes over progesterone production anytime between 8 and 13 weeks. That'll definitely ease symptoms so it's more than likely completely normal.
Here I was thinking I had a handle on nausea (the worst). I started eating later into the night so I didn't wake up so hungry. My nightstand looks like a convenience store with crackers, ginger ale, and lemon drops. But alas, nope! Can barely completely brush my teeth or clear my sinuses without heaving bile into the sink. Oh and constipation, dear lord! I've never wanted to have a good poop so bad in my life! Lol! And these breasts are so heavy! DH says my consistently protruding nipples look like tiny fists...*side eye*. Lastly, can't remember ever being this tired in my life! FTM with 2 previous losses. All of it is welcomed if it means healthy baby at the end. We got this mamas! *puts tiny nipple fist in the air*

Uuuuuuuuuuugh nausea is so bad... not even food is fixing it in fact, food is making it worse! I'm 7 weeks 2 days today. It peaks at 9 weeks, is that what I read here? First tri can't pass soon enough between my awful symptoms and the nasty PIO shots. I hate being pregnant. I love my babies, but I HATE being pregnant. I pray both babies survive and thrive so I never have to go through this bullshit again for as long as I live. Imma get me an IUD and keep it in until menopause.
@missy052819 yup the pregnancy rhinitis is not fun. I didn't know it was a thing until my first pregnancy.
Still having all the symptoms over here. I have a bit of energy in the morning so try to be as productive as possible then. I'm 9 1/2 weeks but the morning sickness didn't start to get better until 12 weeks with DD and went away at 14. I'm jealous of those whose symptoms are subsiding already but also don't have another dr's apt. until 12 weeks so I'm sure I'd be super worried if I all-of-a-sudden felt better given my last pregnancy symptoms.
@wishiwaspreggo I think I was the one who posted it's supposed to peak at 9 weeks. That's what I've read, although I didn't really notice much of a difference from 6-12 weeks last time, it all sucked
@kvh22 - I think I'm complaining so much because my first pregnancy was so much easier. I didn't have a single wave of real nausea (just some mildly bothersome queasiness once in a while) and I didn't have any real symptoms until past 12 weeks when the RLP kicked in and got intense over time. 3rd trimester was what really sucked for me. I didn't have any glorious energy or nesting desires. I was a corpse. I am so worried what's in store for me in the coming months
Almost 11 weeks and the last two days I have been feeling a bit better. Still tired but the nausea and burping have calmed down quite a bit. There were a couple of hours yesterday where I felt normal! The end is in sight!!

I was starting to get worried that some symptoms tapered off but glad to hear it's probably the progesterone helping. Nausea isn't as bad (thanks to new prenatal vitamin which has ALOT of Vitamin B ) but appetite is now better. But energy still sucks.
@missy052819 Yup, its real! Don't be surprised if you one day wake up with a swollen nose, either. Lol. The hormones cause your sinuses to swell. It happened to me when I was pregnant with DD. I woke up, looked in the mirror and freaked out. Luckily, mine was gone in two days (if i remember correctly).
Help! My nausea is getting worse. If I take the B6 and unisom I get a sleep hangover all day and have zero energy. If I skip it I have more energy but throw up every meal. Anyone else dealing with this ?
11+1 today and the symptoms are in full effect. Nausea has kicked up a notch to the point where food doesn't help, RLP, and my Rhinitis is going strong. That started at 6 weeks on the dot. I feel like it lasted the entire time during my last pregnancy, so hopefully it's better this time since overall my symptoms are more mild this time around.

@brichanelle are you taking the unisom just at night or during the day as well? I took it last night and fell asleep around 9 but had no energy issues today! I will say though, I’m not usually sensitive to medicine.
@mrskoz428 do you have a pregnancy pillow? Mine makes sleep so much more comfortable!
@brichanelle@DuchessOfCambridge I’ve found that Unisom at night isn’t enough for me and I need to take it 2x a day to be functional. It seems like it’s getting slightly easier as my body adjusts to it.
I definitely get tired at work a couple hours after taking it, but I’m not at risk of falling asleep at my desk. It also means I can drink a little coffee or green tea — without the Unisom my the thought of either makes me want to throw up.
@DuchessOfCambridge yes, I have been using a pregnancy pillow for about 4 weeks now. I’m fine if I’m slightly toward my stomach, but laying directly on my side does not result of very good sleep. I’m sure baby will be just fine with stomach sleeping, I may just get kicked more often once I can feel baby moving. 😂
@Soa2009 yes to the constipation and tiny nipple fists! My nipples are HUGE and look like they could knock someone out! I’ve noticed that my areolas are starting to darken as well. Apples seem to be helping my constipation, for now.
@mrskoz428 I have a c shaped one and I tuck the end of the c under my stomach and it helps a lot with side sleeping! Almost feels like sleeping on my stomach. But you might as well sleep on your stomach for as long as you can get away with it!
@brichanelle ugh that sounds so hard. I have very minor nausea and I’m so dramatic about that that I really feel for all the ladies who have it bad
Current symptoms...fat, bloated, constipated and tired. I’m not sure how everyone stays so positive while feeling so disgusting. I’ve gained waaaay too much weight already, because I am too exhausted to move after work and DH’s solution to me not cooking is to bring home fast food/pizza daily. Can it be May already? 😩

Plus 1 for fat and bloated and eating pizza and fast food. With DD I had no appetite and lost weight in the first trimester, but with this one I either want eat nothing or everything right now. I hate feeling like I can’t workout or do anything to be healthy right now and I will just have to accept turning into a blimp the next 7 months.
Ugh. The opposite of constipation is happening. Eggplant pizza was not a great choice for lunch. It’s of course stressing me out because any pressure does to my pgal brain
I don't even need to look at a clock anymore to tell time since I get nauseous 11AM-3PM every. day. no matter what I do: eat or don't eat; coffee or no coffee; vitamins or no vitamins; weekday or weekend.
DH thinks my super sense of smell is entertaining - everything smells repulsive unless I'm hungry and then I'll eat. But as soon as we're done the kitchen has to be cleaned up and everythingput away. I can smell the drops of red wine in a glass 2 rooms away. [50% gross 50% jealous]
The bloat is so bad. I lost 50+ pounds in 2017 and while my post weight loss pants still fit they're getting tighter and I feel like I look 50+ heavier already. Scale is only up 2lbs since finding out and that's mostly because i've been enjoying chili and nachos all week as left overs.
Had to pull over to puke on my way home tonight and peed my pants a little as a result. This is fun. 😑
OMG YES! I throw up usually about once a day to one every three days, and I always pee during it now. This is something totally new and it pissed me TF off.
Double post apology, but I forgot the thing I came here to post.
HOW IS EVERYONE SURVIVING?!?!?! All I do is sleep or veg out. I can't do anything that requires mental fortitude. I was on dean's list last semester and now it looks like I'm going to pull out with a B- and a C+ this semester. I can't imagine how bad things would be if I actually had to go to work.
Like for real ... how is everyone coping? Because I'm certainly not!
After saying earlier how my nausea isn't at all bad during pregnancy, here I sit on the couch, not moving because moving seems like it will make puking happen. Awesome. Props to you ladies who deal with this all the time, I feel like such a wimp right now.
I'm so glad for this thread because it makes me feel less lazy and ridiculous. Happy to be in it together with you all! I had it easy til week 8 when nausea started. Week 10 has been the worst so far though. Only relief has been constipation going away. I'm eating probiotic yogurt every day for over a week now and noticed a big improvement- thank goodness because I was going to explode lol! Insomnia has also started -- how can I do my 10 hr shifts without the sleep I need? Can't wait to feel more like myself since I am falling behind on what feels like everything right now.
my acid reflux has been awful this pregnancy. It started several weeks ago. With my daughter, it started much later. anyone else? i'm trying zantac, which helped for a few days but has stopped working. tums does nothing. my poor throat feels like it's on fire from eating and drinking literally anything - even water! gah! this kid better have loads of hair (that's the old wives tale, right?)
@bluesky24 horrible heartburn and acid reflux are actually usually my first signs of pregnancy. They’ve slightly improved lately but I asked my dr what I should do instead of taking 15 tums per day and they said take Pepcid proactively (twice a day max) to keep it away, you can take tums with Pepcid too.

@expandcontract thanks for the heads up! I would probably freak out!
@kvh22 a stuffed up nose is making sleep very very miserable
