@chucksmom15 ugh! How frustrating! We had a case of HFM in 4th grade last year! 4th GRADE! I thought I would be avoiding that teaching older kids; clearly I was wrong.
Duuuude, I already have a major blump mostly from the steroids! Im already getting people staring at my tummy while I'm talking to them. Im going to have to tell the rest of my office much sooner than I'd like.
@expandcontract my school’s secretary figured out I was pregnant yesterday because she said she could tell I was hiding a bump. I thought I was doing a pretty good job. Clearly not!
@mrskoz428 how did that come up? Did she ask? When I came back to work this September, I was suspicious that one of the kindy teachers was pregnant but I would neeeeever have asked her. Turns out she is.

Our office has a code to get into the bathroom. What kind of horrible person would do that? It is bad enough I have to run through a maze to get to it!
@k2k2tog yep, she just asked. Now that I think about it, seems kind of rude, you know, I’m case I wasn’t pregnant. I had a coworker figure it out at 4.5 weeks because I was more exhausted than normal.
@mrskoz428 i agree it is rude she asked. Ive been asked if i am when im not and it pissed me off.

Also, DD2 was up three times before midnight last night 😔 The first time was a night terror. That's her second within a few weeks. DD1 only every had one. My brother was a sleepwalker, so I hope this doesn't become a thing. It freaks me out...
@mrskoz428 yup, 100% rude. I would have gone for acting super offended, reminded her that it's a completely off-limits questions, and then stormed away. Unless I had that sort of relationship with her, I supposed.

I wear over sized shirts and leggings every day. No one has guessed because my belly is completely covered by a flowy shirt. I'm honestly terrified to wear tighter clothes because I know they will. And right now my "bump" isn't baby, it's burger king.
@msb615 I just looked in the mirror and was like "wait, where'd my muffin top go?" By tonight it shall return. Or more realistically the second I eat or drink anything.
@msb615@eatinwatermelonseeds omg yes! My blump is unreal! I didn’t think I was bloating but I gain 4 months of pregnancy between waking up and going to bed! 😂
Team blump! I stopped bf'ing 5 months ago and my hormones/weight have been a little out of whack ever since, despite my best efforts to eat healthy and exercise. Ah well. Now I'm just looking forward to a nice baby bump.

@mrskoz428 That drives me crazy. People don't "figure out" that one is pregnant, like they're freaking detectives. They look for any sign of puff, tiredness, sickness and set up the uterus neighborhood watch. (Unless it was after you told your coworker and she said 'oh I suspected) ETA - ^ That's about your coworker who 'figured it out.' Not the one who asked. What is wrong with people?

@mrskoz428ummm that's so rude. i second the meme above. i had someone ask me (when I wasn't pregnant) at my daughter's birthday party. They said, oh people were talking and thought you might be pregnant. Nope friend. It's just the stress eating paired with an ill-fitting jumpsuit that I thought would be cute. Jumpsuit has never been seen again.
I used to teach middle school, and I always carry my weight in my belly, so I used to get asked by students like a couple of times a year ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Many 13 year olds are still figuring out acceptible social boundaries, so I learned to let it roll off, and I would always tell them that that's not really a polite question to ask someone. At the same time, I had one student who didn't know I was pregnant until I was like a week from my due date and talking to the class about what would happen while I was on maternity leave... at that point it was like, really kid? This big ol' round thing and you didn't figure something was up?
Definitely ruder when it's adults though. I have had a couple of people try to sly-ask "So... you ever think about having another one...?" while heavily eying my belly. The only time I had a coworker straight-up ask if I was pregnant, I was, and I did tell her because we were pretty close and I was one of the first people she told when she was pregnant, but it was still a weird position to be in.
@haboobjob I hate when it ruins an article of clothing. I got this cute floral top last spring, and I thought it looked nice, a little bit dressier than casual, good for those weird in-between events where jeans and a tee are too casual but a dress or a skirt is too much. Then I wore it a couple of times, and every time I noticed people's eyes flickering to my belly... it's now reserved for laundry-days when I have nothing else to wear.
@mrskoz428 that is SO rude that she flat out asked! I have friend who carried weight in her stomach only and got asked quite a bit if she was expecting. It really hurt her feelings. I even had an asshat at my old company ask me how much weight I had gained when I was like 8 months pregnant. People need to keep their mouths shut!

The year after I got out of college, I lost a bunch of weight. I remember wearing a cute little baby doll dress to teach Saturday school. I was walking down the hall, feeling great about myself, when another teacher said, "Oh Miss Lastname, I didn't know you were pregnant!" Mood ruined. And what really hit me is that she was so sure! She wasn't even asking, but confident enough to just throw it out there. My response was a deflated, "Nope, just apparently still fat."
@liliumstargazer13 wow. I bet she felt really bad after that and hopefully learned her lesson. I'm surprised so many people still don't understand this basic aspect of human interaction.

My first pregnancy I started very tiny. Looking back I was just a twig. When I started showing, I was still pretty small... Or so I thought. I was taking two classes toward my degree... Well, a degree I changed after that quarter 😂... And at about 24? Weeks, I started having Braxton Hicks and they were painful. I stepped out of the class, obviously uncomfortable, and when I came back my teacher announced that I was due any day now. I kindly told her I wasn't due for another 3 months (ish). Her eyes widened and she was like "WOW! He must be a BIG boy! Don't worry, I was huge too." Hey, fuck you lady. Then I went to my next class and let the teacher know I may not be there the following day and he was like "oh, yeah, you're giving birth soon aren't you?" No dude, I'm just pregnant and fucking uncomfortable... But I'm never wearing this shirt again, shit.
@peachy13@msb615 Pinterest all day. I've created a whole new life on that app 😂 I've got an amazing house, cool ass kids, best meals, and the nicest wardrobe... On Pinterest.
Duuude baby doll tops are the death of anyone! Even when I was super skinny and wore one, people would ask me if I was pregnant. Like wtf? I have absolutely no baby doll tops in my closet now.
I parked in the stork parking spot even though no one at work knows I'm pregnant. I work from home usually, as I did this morning, then dropped DD off and got the office just before 10. I figure this and 3rd tri are when I really need it and the odds that anyone I know sees me is pretty slim (4,000 people on our campus).

Let me try this again...
I roasted a butternut squash last night, but had no energy to do anything with it once it was done. So... what should I do with it? Recipe ideas?
