@DuchessOfCambridge Our timing is perfect too! This was our second full cycle trying and if it had happened in the first I would have been due about a month before school was out, which is SO not ideal. I'm not losing any pay this way, and it gives me time to interview for public school jobs for next school year. So as much as it sucks to be 40+ weeks, it's best (I guess) for this baby to follow suit behind their sisters.
@imrachellea I was at the end of my baby group with my son. I was due October 29, the last baby was born on Halloween and then my son came November 3. The ONLY November baby in a group of over 50 women. I hated everyone for at least 3 days 😂
@eatinwatermelonseeds I was the regular poster of our ticker change check ins (which was Wednesdays) and HDBD in my last BMB and on my EDD I was too pissed about still being pregnant that I didn't post and regulars noticed and started asking where I was, hoping I was having the baby (I actually think @brie_and_almonds was the one who noticed and was asking?) and my Facebook mamas let them know I was just sulking 🤣 Maybe it was a little petty but I was so irritated that several FTMs due after me had their babies before me while I was still hanging out overdue with #2. Two were actually due the same day as me and we were betting who would go first, I SWORE it would be me (because, duh, STM) but *nope* theirs both came before mine 🤷 At least this time I'm at the end so the likelihood of people due after me (I'm looking at you, 5/31 mamas!!) delivering before me is slim 😂
@rachellea there were actually a TON of girls due after me and every single one delivered BEFORE MY DUE DATE. I was so bitter. Couldn't even go on the board because I was so mad at everyone and their uteruses 😂

@msb615 GIVE ME THAT ROLL. You’re totally with the tuna. Hope you enjoyed it
@lovelybabybumpz I say you go out with a dramatic bang. Also I feel you on straddling between the boards. I’m due 5/8, but delivered 5 weeks early last time so I’m kind of assuming I’ll have an April baby.
@secicc12 😭😭😭 I miss it so much. We had it in Colorado, so I never had to miss it there. But New Mexico and Germany didn't really have anything and now here it's all krispy kreme and Starbucks and I'm homesick. Though, I do love Krispy Kreme glazed donuts, I have to admit. Dunkins will always be home to me.
I guess mine is that I love the ultrasound thread.
Also, if you said Jimmie or bubbler to me, being from the part of California I am I would assume (Jimmie) was breaking into a car and you either wanted a hit off a bong or a sparkling water.
@brie_and_almonds thank you for the breastfeeding post. I sure hope round 2 is better. I feel almost rejuvenated after reading that. I want to maintain a thoughtful, but practical mindset this time around. Thank you again.
and @sleepy33 YASSSSS! That dip looks amazing! I want it all now!
@eatinwatermelonseeds I lived in North Carolina for a long time. I love the different meanings of words and how they are used. And cali to NC had some really interesting differences.
Bubbler just cracks me up. Lol never smoke from randos never know what'll happen.
@willmisspumpkinbeer If you wanted the best of both worlds, I feel like usually when I google something one off, a Baby Center post always comes up in the results haha.
WOW! I just caught up. Damn, you ladies have been busy, today!
In short, I supplemented my daughter with formula from the 1st night she was born because I had GD and her sugar was dropping. I had an issue with my right boob that for whatever reason, it was real difficult to get the milk to letdown. My daughter hated nursing from that side. Even with the pump, I couldn't get any milk out. I had to literally "milk" my right boob. Nothing else worked. The lactation consultants were a joke. There was only one that was real helpful while I was still in the hospital. But trying to get them to help after discharge was ridiculous. Im going to be delivering at a different hospital this time so I'm really hoping these consultants will be more helpful. Im really hoping that you ladies are right in that it's easier the second time. I never wa able to build a stash of milk for my daughter. ALWAYS had to supplement. I wish we had longer and paid maternity leave in this country so I could forever take the "nursing vacations. "
ETA: Some of us will get GD. Im telling you right now, don't feel guilty about it. I really beat myself up last time when I was diagnosed. It took me several months to realize that I shouldn't be blaming myself. After all, the placenta makes it harder to absorb insulin AND I was on steroids then, too, which already increases the blood sugar. I've already accepted that I most likely will get it again. I just pray and hope I don't need to take medicine for it.
I'm right there with all of you overdue mom's. My son was due at the end of June and I had him in July. My best friend and I were due 9 days apart and she went early and I was definitely bitter about it when my due date came and went. I'm shooting for a mothers day baby this time since I'm due 5/5 and Mother's Day is exactly one week later.
@fatmonica I feel the same way. I feel very disconnected with this baby. My husband is more excited then me. We have names picked out and everything and I had my ultrasound but it just doesn't feel real to me.

Exactly. This is where I get irritated with the one off posts. Google would answer your question faster than a bunch of internet strangers. IMO you don’t want an answer, you just want to talk about yourself.
I'm really hoping this baby is a little late, honestly. I know I'll regret that, but I was born right before Father's day, and birthday parties growing up were a bitch. My husband was born on Father's day, so that's sometimes when his birthday falls, and that also blows. I'm due the day after, but I really wouldn't mind going maybe the 20th.
@eatinwatermelonseeds I hoping that if I do get induced which I probably will my OB will let me pick the date. I'm thinking May 13th. Its a Monday and my kids will still be in school for another week or 2. I will be around 39 weeks and some odd days I think.

@psychobutthead that's when I'm due. We were talking induction with my son, but he came a couple days before it. I'm honestly hoping to avoid it. I told my friend to remind me that I want baby in as long as it wants to be in lol because I know I won't feel that way come about 37 weeks.
@eatinwatermelonseeds Well my nurse at my appointment told me its the law here to induce gestational diabetes pregnancies? I had no clue. I'm thinking it will happen again. My last doctor didn't give me an option to pick the date. But this doctor seems really nice. I've never made it to 40 weeks with either kid. DD came at 38 weeks on her own and DS was induce at 39.

@psychobutthead oh yeah, medical reasons that makes total sense. I obviously can't predict this pregnancy, but I had no health reasons to induce. My only issue was he wasn't moving a ton toward the end. Likely just stuffed in there, but it was scary.
@eatinwatermelonseeds yeah I always freaked out if my kids stopped moving for what I thought was too long. Of course they where always wide away and moving and kicking when I was trying to sleep.

@psychobutthead lol yeah. I actually had to stay a very long time at a NST because he just was not moving. The nurse finally took this bell thing and a pen or something and put it against my stomach and then hit it so it made a loud noise. Scared the bejesus out of the poor baby lol. But he finally moved after over an hour. They still sent me to L&D but by then he was wide awake kicking the crap out of me for waking him up lol.
So my birthday is 5/12. I was actually born on Mother's Day and occasionally it falls on Mother's Day (like it will coming up). Honestly now as a mom it kind of bums me out. There are two days a year I get to myself, my birthday and Mother's Day and they're lumped together. This next year I don't even get two days, and it's just a bummer. I love being celebrated as a Mom, but I get sad that I also get lost in the celebration of all moms (this is FFFC after all!). My best friend was born on Christmas and she totally gets it. She actually has a half birthday get together (sans presents) in July to celebrate with cake.
@imrachellea my husband's birthday is June 19 and often falls on Father's day, and I always try to do separate things for him. Gifts designated for Father's day, and gifts designated for his birthday. It still sucks for him, I know. Mine is June 14, so never on Father's day, since it's its own holiday, but sometimes a couple days before. I was hoping to avoid holidays lol. DS is a few days after Halloween, but no one goes away for Halloween weekend or any of that 😂
@k2k2tog oh I know. I'm prepared to go late but hoping I'm closer to on time. That extra week+ was brutal last time.
@imrachellea I've heard of a lot of people doing half birthdays recently for similar reasons. I could totally get on board with that. Everyone else gets a separate day to celebrate them, people born too close to Christmas, Mothers/Father's Day should get that too. My cousins were 28 weekers born right around Christmas so their mom always celebrated small on their birthday but big on their due date so they didn't get lumped in with the holidays.
FFSC: I’m probably going to go early and I’m due at the beginning of the month. I went 10 days early with my son so I’m thinking I’m gonna have an April baby. Hopefully no one hates my uterus 😂 I actually hope I go late (or on time) though because I want a May baby!

@fuscok88 We're all holiday babies in our family! I'm around Mother's Day, DH is days before Halloween, DD1 is exactly one week before Christmas, and DD2 is mid-April so is generally around Easter. This baby will be the first non-holiday member of the family.
@expandcontract i dont know how i missed your post mentioning GD.
I have already come to terms that I will have it again. i know I will. I go at 10 weeks to get tested because I got it around 15ish weeks with my son.
I'm hoping to not need insulin. I'm already trying to count and track my carbs on myfitnesspal.

I'm right there with ya. So far, neither of my older kiddos was born during their due-date month... one was late, one was early. I'm hoping this will be the one, but with a 5/5 due date, I won't be surprised if I end up with an April baby. Convenience wise, I hope he/she stays put until May.
