    @Momifbysea awesome congratulations. When is ur next appointment.

    @justharrison I agree with u, if they not even monitoring this value at other places I have one less reason to worry about. Thank you

    I did call them and left them voice mail, the very minute I posted question here so I should get the answer along with the results tomorrow
  • Loving the positive updates! Congrats on beta confirmation @Momifbysea! At 44, you’re my hero. I’m freaking out about not getting PG before 40!! (I’m 37).

    @justharrison you have a fighter in there! He or she won’t be stopped! Hope the spotting lessens since I know it’s still really disconcerting!

    cute little bean you have there @bkatp! Amazing that you heard a HB this early!

    Anyone else in the TWW or we just on u/s watch now?

  • I’m still in the TWW. I have my first beta on Monday, which will be 10dpt. I have been using test strips at home the past few days and have a positive line that is getting a little darker each day!

  • @Momifbysea Congrats!!! That's a great beta! Go out and celebrate at a good restaurant because the nausea is coming! Congrats. My nausea/weird taste in my mouth has just started and i'm so thankful for each and every symptom!

    @kfs825 Congrats! Looks like its going to be a strong beta!

    I'm so happy to see all the positives on this board!

  • @kfs825 nice progression! Those are like mine looked on those days I think. Your wait is almost over hang in there!

    Thanks so much you all for the nice words and for being so supportive. This has been such an emotional time and our last chance. A lot of pressure but I can breathe a bit tonight so I’m off to meditate and drift to sleep!

    @northbeach3 awww thanks! From my perspective you have YEARS! Plus, this ones gonna Work out I just feel it for you. You see, the first time I was 38-1/2 and honestly never even tried before then since we met later in life. Figured if it was meant to be it would be I guess and was naive as to the statistics in those days.

    @bkatp and @babydust2507 my next appt is Saturday at 8:10 so we are packing an overnight bag and driving back up tomorrow after work and spending the night at our adopted grandparents’ house. I know doing these drives sounds crazy but I am way superstitious and they’re like family by now. It’s strange they don’t do a third beta so do an ultrasound at week 6 and then at week 8.

    @bkatp how cool that you dreamt of my result! I myself didn’t even do that so thanks for having my back!

    @babydust2507 today I am 4 weeks, 4 days.
  • congratulations @kfs825 ! wow this board is full of good news! that's awesome! you all give me hope!
    @northbeach3 happy teacher day!
  • *lurking* @Momifbysea amazing results, and the nurse who tried to warn you of a low beta - he/she can suck it!  :D i mean i know they mean well but COME ON!  so happy for you

    @northbeach3 how are u doing ? Is ur spotting gone ?

    @kfs825 congratulations for BFP.

    Can someone talk me out of this?

    I sent my ultrasound pictures to my MIL who is gynecologist. She came back saying my gestational sac is not round so we will only know next week whether this is a good pregnancy or not.
    I regret talking to her, sharing her pictures I ll never learn but is that real ?? Attached is the picture of gestational sac that is not rounded. The crl measurement picture has rounded gestational sac
  • @bkatp yes the brownish ness did stop! Thanks for asking. I’m not putting them so far in and that seems to help.

    Sadly im not good at interpreting the scans. It’s really hard to figure out what I should be looking at. If your doc didn’t seem concerned I’d try not to stress. I’m sorry your MIL gave you doubts.

  • @bkatp if they didn't say anything to you at the US then I wouldn't worry about it.  Maybe it's just the angle of this one?  I have pics where it's both rounded and not rounded from earlier on.

  • @bkatp I don't know either how to interpret the scans but I agree with @northbeach3 that if your dr wasn't worried then you shouldn't be either. It feels like when the nurse told me yesterday that she didn't mean to be a Debbie Downer but that beta might be low. I am sure they mean well and maybe are trying to protect us from the what ifs, but I say, you heard a heartbeat, you've never made it this far, you are very much pregnant today and so enjoy that! IF takes so much of that from us that I think we have to remind ourselves to really celebrate these milestones, and we all on here get that!

    AFM, I have to keep reminding myself that I said I would be so thankful for nausea/vomiting this time around but was hoping it wouldn't be this early! I've had it for several days already and it started the same for DD so I guess I should've expected as much. How is everyone else dealing with that? Is gingerale okay? I know right after the FET they said nothing spicy or carbonated but now that the implantation part is finished will I disturb anything?
    I am looking forward to tomorrow's beta #2 and then it will be a long 2 weeks (or so?) before that ultrasound. I will have to fight the urge to POAS @justharrison!

  • @bkatp I am so sorry you MIL put that stress on you with her interpretation of your U/S, I'm definitely don't know nothing on that never made that far but maybe @annielmartinez can give you some insight she is a obgyn too, but I will be praying for you and trying not to stress too much, because like the girls said it wasn't a concerned for your clinic if they didn't mention it so maybe it's just a different angle of the pic...
  • @bkatp I'm not a doctor nor have any experience with looking at ultrasounds, but the picture I have of my first u/s the GS looks like a fat drop and yet here I am, almost 21w pregnant.
    There are so many ways of interpreting ultrasound pictures, and things look different from different angles, so I would just stay positive! I'm sorry your MIL decided to be a downer instead of a supporter, and I think you should just ignore her and keep looking forward. Worrying about things that are out of your control won't help, and things can go sideways at any moment, so instead of constantly worrying about it, try to stay positive and enjoy the moment. We only really have the now. <3
  • Thank you @northbeach3 @Momifbysea @babydust2507 @mayflower513 for comforting me. Online info was saying 80% miscarriage rate with abnormal shaped sacs.

    my beta 4 came out at 18444, E 202 P 86 both above reference values.

    the one with CRM also doesn’t look round, it is oval. I just left them a voicemail.
    I’ll make up my mind and will be realistic at this point that’s all I can do take it day by day
  • @more14 thank you yes I am trying to do that, it just that I got to know the heart is beating yesterday and today that it might not be true.  Couldn’t deal with highs And lows.

    I am trying my best to stay positive.
  • @bkatp let us know what the office says.

  • It looks like round/oval are still considered normal - it's other shapes that are "abnormal", and I think there's more concern if there are other issues as well.

  • @bkatp my gestational sac is a different shape in all 5 of my ultrasounds. The way the position and twist the probe plays a big part in the shape you see. When they were first trying to find a cause for my bleeding, they were looking all around with the probe and i got to see different views of my little guy (sometimes i couldnt even see him or the yolk sac because he is hiding in a corner so the GS would look empty).

    ill attach my u/s pics below - they are all different shapes. I would like to think that if your GS was oddly shaped (and you had an 80% risk of miscarriage) the doctors would have said something. Im sorry you cant enjoy yourself right now but i also understand why you cant. Hopefully the doctors will get back to you quickly

  • Good luck with beta @kfs825

    Good luck with US @mrsyng
  • @kfs825 good luck at your beta appointment today!!! The wait (or at least the first wait) is finally over!

    @mrsyng I hope your ultrasound is great today! Let us know what they see - so exciting! I'm feeling like the 11 more days wait until mine is going to feel like an eternity. So much waiting! At the moment I'm freaking out because I've had pretty consistent nausea the past few days and this morning I feel normal and not pregnant. I wonder if it's normal to have some nausea days and then a good day in between without it meaning something has happened? I realize I'm paranoid here but this whole early stage has me freaked out.
  • @Momifbysea yeah I think it’s pretty normal to see fluctuations in nausea but understand how you use it as a sign of pregnancy. I do that with my boobs and how tired I’m feeling. :)

    afm, some more serious spotting occurred last night (dark red and small blood clots) and mild cramping. Seems to be subsiding this morning, but I left a message for the doc and am awaiting his call. This is how it started last cycle and right around this time too, so... hard to say. I’ve been trying to mentally protect myself so I really just feel numb to this new development. I do hope he will bring me in at least for blood testing. I’m worried my progesterone is low.

    Fx for everyone with some
    kind of testing today.

  • @Momifbysea I read it is normal to have some no nausea days . I read that everyday won’t be same. I also read it is different each time so don’t worry as long as u are not bleeding.

    I still don’t have any symptoms. I am only going at this point not spotting or bleeding.

  • @northbeach3 sorry to hear about your spotting. I hope they see you soon today. If you suspect low pregesterone, can u ask/request your doctor to monitor progesterone closely ?

    @northbeach3 I'm so sorry you're seeing this again. I've read so many things about spotting being normal in early pregnancy but I completely understand how worrying this must be for you. FX you get some comforting news in the coming days <3

  • @northbeach3 and @bkatp thank you for your reassurances about the nausea suddenly vanishing. I guess I should enjoy a day without sickness. My boobs are still really sore so I will hold onto that. I keep telling myself that normal (meaning non-IVF) pregnancies I probably would just be finding out I was pregnant anyway so maybe wouldn't be so focused on it as I am after all the monitoring and intervention.

    @northbeach3 I am hoping you can get in for some monitoring. May I ask how far along are you today? I know some women do have spotting and everything is fine but I would be worried the same way, so I understand your concerns. Did you have low progesterone last time or did they make any adjustments in this transfer versus your last one? I am really praying that everything is okay.

  • i'm 5+5 today.  i'd had low progesterone when doing the IUIs, but i'm on suppositories 2x daily and PIO on sundays.  I'm just trying to make attributions for what it could be... on sundays, i don't start the day with a suppository and take my shot in the evening.  i have no idea if that could be it, but it came up as a possibility.

    the blood isn't as red/fresh as it was last time and didn't last for as long. i hope and pray its minor, but still waiting to hear from my office.
