No baby kicks all morning or while at work... so of course that's all I could think about. Got home, went commando in my pj pants, sat on the couch with feet up and alas, baby kicks. Dh got to feel a few for the second time now.
Also, I kind of want to sing baby shark, to the beat of baby kicks. I'm overtired and clearly need to go to bed.
@megpants209 WTF is wrong with your "friend"? Good thing they're quitting, what a shitty thing to say!
All my work crap today went fairly smoothly, and now I have my own office! So yay! It was exhausting though, and people kept offering to help me carry shit and stupidly I declined. I keep telling people "I'm pregnant, not sick", but maybe I should change that to "I'm pregnant and also weirdly proud for no good reason" because ouch, my back! Spending the evening on the couch with a lumbar support pillow.

@grebretso yeah clearly not much of a work friend at all. It really took me by surprise but thankfully I’m feeling a little better about it. I’ve sought out and worked hard for every job and position I’ve ever had. She can think what she wants but I’m not second-guessing myself because of her bitterness. Ending rant now
DH cut his hand this weekend and had to have stitches. He can’t bend his hand and it’s sore so he can’t change a diaper, get DS ready for bed, or get DS into/out of his car seat. Of course this is the perfect time for HFM to hit our house and so now I’m taking at least two days of sick leave 😒
@allthingsgo I do the same thing! Or anytime DS is difficult I think “what did I get myself into”. I know we will find a new normal but yikes I’m nervous.
DS last night was in full on riot mode. Would NOT eat dinner that I prepared for him and instead he ate two slices of cheese whatever kid. He also protested bedtime and did ANYTHING to keep himself awake...blabbering on and on about anything and everything and singing BABY SHARK over and over and over again. I think I fell asleep before he did lol I’m tired today
So my phone crapped out which is irritating. I have the worst luck with technology. Guess I need a new one...ugg.
I killed a bag of chips a few days ago and now I can't even look at it!
Working on cleaning out closets and spare rooms. It is really hard with hubby's tools everywhere! He is wanting to get a shop built somehow in the next 3.5 months before this baby comes...I hipe it happens but my doubts are there. This cost money, and lots of it. Not sure how he will pay it. Fingers crossed.
In other news my puppers are both being really cuddly and make us laugh all the time. It's like they finally realize a kid is on the way. One puts his head right where the baby is and the twitches everytime baby moves. It is soo cute!
IP Zuppa Toscana is a go for tonight and I made two loaves of Chocolate Chip Banana Bread. That also means my kids and I are now going to lay in my bed and play on their Kindles until my H gets home because I’ve exhausted all my energy for today.
Remembered at 4:00 this afternoon that tomorrow is my husband’s 28th birthday. Fuuuuuuuck. So we got cards and cake mix on our way home. Made cupcakes, colored a picture and wrote nice cards. Plus we’re moving so our felt “happy birthday” sign we hang for every birthday is packed away somewhere. Wife of the year.
I had a really vivid dream last night about giving birth to my baby and holding her (in the dream it was a girl, still don’t know irl) and it was AMAZING. When I woke up and realized it was a dream I actually cried because it’s still months away and I was super bummed out about not having a baby right this second. WTF was that about? I need to calm down and not be so impatient, feeling a little ridiculous about it!
Also I should have probably realized it was a dream when I gave birth in my childhood home all alone and it was no bother. Literally pulled the baby out myself and it didn’t hurt one bit. Lol!

Today is lame. Half of our living room and kitchen electricity has gone out. I knew something was going to happen with it because it would go out before if we unplugged our sound bar. Meaning something was already not working properly. Our building is owned by one guy and has maintainence done by his neighbor, which is usually just fine. I’m sure this is going to be out of his league. Something tells me we aren’t going to have internet or tv for a long while.
As a lot of us start thinking about birth plans, I'm wondering if there would be interest in a thread for planning for those of us aiming for a natural and/or unmedicated birth? It might be a nice place to share tips and ideas about birth classes, doulas, pain management, interventions, etc.?
I hope it is, @sjnsjnsjn! It’s the first preg dream I’ve had that wasn’t complete random nonsense or included really awkward sex stuff, so I’ll take it.

@jessier19 I would be very interested! I’m a “be ready for anything” type gal, it helps calm my anxieties I might have about giving birth (would like to try for unmedicated if I can)
@jessier19 I would consider leaving it open to all birth plans. Some people may be interested in certain tips you mentioned even if they’re not intending to go full unmedicated, etc, and there’s a lot to be learned from one another!
I’m not a huge fan of using the term “natural birth” because ALL birth is natural, regardless if you have medication, no medication, or surgical intervention.

I have no motivation to do anything at this point.

@jessier19 I would be on board for that! I’m hoping for a natural to semi-crunchy birth (second to both me and baby being healthy, of course).
