Hello everyone. Thank you for thinking of me. It's crazy that I started this thread in May of last year looking for other women who had a similar struggle and pursuing DE IVF and now I can share with you all that the wish can become a reality. On August 22nd our beautiful boy, Duke Douglas, was born and I'm finally a mother. He is the best baby and I love being his mom. Not one ounce of me feels less of a mother because we went this route and the other day a girlfriend of mine (who knows we used a donor egg) commented that he looks like me. He doesn't but he's a tiny baby so he doesn't look like anyone yet.
Delivery was tough. I started contractions on Monday 8/20 and he wasn't born until Wednesday night. Due to him being posterior I had back labor and never dilated past 7 cm so we had an unplanned CS and I had some mild complications that made recovery a struggle but he's here and perfect and life is amazing.
We are getting into a routine so I should have more time to check in. For everyone in treatment and especially for those lurking - keep the faith. It's a rough road but it can work. xoxo

@JamieH2000 thanks for asking ! I just had my pre op appointment yesterday, my surgery is in mid October and they will remove fibroids and endometriosis if there is any remaining . I asked him what he thought our chances are and he said he thinks after surgery takes care of that problem that he thinks getting pregnant with donor eggs will be a “sure thing “ . That’s the most optimism I’ve ever heard so that made me really hopeful ! So surgery in October , December will be hysteroscopy to make sure everything is healing good and if it looks good , transfer in January !
@knottie7777- ok only a month until surgery- i hope it flies!! January will be here soon and I definitely agree you should be in a GREAT position for this to work then!!

Besides having cramps the first couple of days, no other symptoms have presented themselves. But i know PIO disguises a lot of common symptoms as well. I'm feeling so nervous and scared.

@c-town18@JamieH2000 Thanks so much. TWW sure is very very hard. No matter how hard you keep yourself distracted, your mind still goes in that direction. What did you guys do to keep yourself distracted during this time? Did you have any symptoms?
adc0417 - I had very light cramps two days after the transfer, otherwise nothing. Any even those may have just been from the PIO, who knows. I started testing at home really early, I have never been able to wait for the beta, so I am probably not the best to give advice on how to distract yourself during the TWW
@adc0417- I wish I had good advice! I honestly just try to keep busy and not let myself go crazy. I wish I would have written it down or tracked it, but I don't think I had many symtpoms. Maybe some back ache. I remember telling my friend the day of beta that I was convinced it didn't work since I didn't "feel" pregnant at all.

**TW** So, i got my first Beta results today and its 3326. I can't believe I can finally say that I'm Pregnant!!! Its all so surreal and still nerve wrecking. Thank you so so much for your unconditional support @c-town18@JamieH2000@knottie7777. I'm so grateful to have you girls by my side. We had transferred 2 embabies.
@adc0417 I have been relentlessly checking here for an update from you and am thrilled to see this. Congratulations! The whole process is nerve wracking and your anxiety about it all working out may not go away quickly (or at all) but today you are pregnant and that is worth celebrating! So happy to see another success come out of this little group!

@adc0417- It depend on the clinic.. i would guess if yours doubles and is that high already, they may not do a third. I had my first scan at 5+5. Some places wait until 6 weeks or more to see the HB. It was nice going in earlier, but I was nervous since it was so early and they couldn't see a fetal pole or HB yet at 5+5.

Alright so here’s the update...my 2nd Beta today was 8224. According to my nurse, I don’t need to get a 3rd one. Still on the edge though, but I guess you get like this in the process.
adc0417 - Great news!! Wow, those are some really strong numbers, I have a good feeling about this! The wait for and between those early ultrasounds is not easy but just try to enjoy the fantastic news you got today.

AFM- anatomy scan went well! My blood pressure was sky high before (its always normal) and I was so anxious throughout the whole thing. They didn't find anything wrong thank goodness, and the hardest images to get were the sex! Took a few mins of moving me and baby around, but we are having a BOY! We are thrilled, but it was a bit of an adjustment since we were both thinking girl for various reasons. But this journey has taught me faith and i truly believe God is sending us exactly the baby that is met for us!
After the clear anatomy scan, we are finally going to share our journey video publicly (on here and facebook). I am terrified, but i promised if we ever got our miracle, i would try to be brave enough to share our story to raise awareness and help others struggling know that they aren't alone. So here it is. Delivery was tough. I started contractions on Monday 8/20 and he wasn't born until Wednesday night. Due to him being posterior I had back labor and never dilated past 7 cm so we had an unplanned CS and I had some mild complications that made recovery a struggle but he's here and perfect and life is amazing.
We are getting into a routine so I should have more time to check in. For everyone in treatment and especially for those lurking - keep the faith. It's a rough road but it can work. xoxo

AFM, I had my transfer on 9/17. Besides having cramps the first couple of days, no other symptoms have presented themselves. But i know PIO disguises a lot of common symptoms as well. I'm feeling so nervous and scared.

Diagnosis: Mild Endo, DOR (AMH of 1.5), Poor Quality Eggs/embryos, Displaced Window of Implantation (ERA Post Receptive)
March-May 2016: 1 TI and 2 IUIs- BFN
June 2016- Laproscopy- found/removed mild endo and confirmed only 1 normal healthy ovary.
August 2016- IVF #1 with Antagonist Protocol- Cancelled (2 lead follies), converted to IUI- BFN
Oct-Nov 2016- IVF #2 with Estrogen Priming Micro Lupron Protocol, 2 eggs retrieved, day 3 transfer of 1- BFN
January 2017- New RE, IVF#3 with Estrogen Priming Antagonist Protocol, 12 eggs, 8 mature, 6 fertilized, 2 day 5 early blasts transferred (none to freeze
May 2017- Sept 2017- Starting Donor Egg process! Waiting for donor to be available... and then she is pregnant at baseline
Oct 2017- Donor #2: 25R, 22M,18F, 12 blasts frozen! Fresh transfer cancelled due to thin lining with fluid
Nov 2017- Hysterscopy to remove polyp
Dec 2017- DE FET #1 on 12/8 on 2 perfect blasts- BFN and devastated
Jan-Mar 2018- ERA #1- Post receptive by 24 hours, ERA #2 RECEPTIVE with 4 days of Progesterone

AFM- anatomy scan went well! My blood pressure was sky high before (its always normal) and I was so anxious throughout the whole thing. They didn't find anything wrong thank goodness, and the hardest images to get were the sex! Took a few mins of moving me and baby around, but we are having a BOY! We are thrilled, but it was a bit of an adjustment since we were both thinking girl for various reasons. But this journey has taught me faith and i truly believe God is sending us exactly the baby that is met for us!
After the clear anatomy scan, we are finally going to share our journey video publicly (on here and facebook). I am terrified, but i promised if we ever got our miracle, i would try to be brave enough to share our story to raise awareness and help others struggling know that they aren't alone. So here it is.
