@prudence9-2- thank you for continuing to check in and support! So happy i finally had good news to share and really excited to join you on PAIF! But i may give it a few weeks
@mtpbadger- thank you!! We were both long shots and I'm so happy you finally have your baby girl and hopefully I am only 9 months behind you!! can't believe how long I have been on this board, but the positive side is I have gotten to get to know some amazing ladies like yourself!
@adc0417- i am so glad to hear you are continuing to press on. I almost gave up after our first donor got pregnant, but glad I didn't. It is a hard journey, but hopefully the egg bank will be less bumps for you! please keep us posted!!
@laurad75- thanks lady!! You are so right, it is so hard, but there are so many reasons to have hope!!
@knottie7777- thank you! I hope your BFP is very soon and we can be bump buddies together!!
@c-town18- yes my beta was 10dp5dt, so it I was very pleased and shocked at the number. I have mixed feelings about twins, mainly concerned about the risks. but we knew the risks when we put two in, so just gotta have faith it will work out if there are two. I would be thrilled with one healthy baby of course!! Are you on PAIF? I think i will give it a few weeks, but hope to join you!
@joslynj11- thank you dear! You are too kind! I will be sure to not keep everyone waiting until the evening for beta #2!! I was lurking on PAIF the other day and saw your news!! I couldn't be more excited for you and can't wait to hopefully join you!

AFM- well ladies, my beta was 4035 (vs 2840 2 days ago). My nurse said these numbers are great, but I am concerned of course. It didn't double obviously, but I know doubling takes longer once you get into the thousands. My doubling time from beta 1 to 2 was 33 hours but beta 2 to 3 was 95 hours. I wonder if one of the embryos stopped growing. overall still feeling positive, but a little less so. Anyone have a third beta that slowed down like this?

@jamieh2000 I know it's hard not to worry but those numbers are great! My RE doesn't do betas after 2000 because the doubling slows considerably. It's normal. Fingers crossed everything looks wonderful on Monday!
JamieH2000 - I know it's impossible not to worry, but those are strong numbers regardless so try not to let the doubling time bother you too much. 2 out of 3 times I didn't even have a third beta. Bottom line = those are solid numbers, the nurse is not concerned about it, and you are still pregnant (!!) All in all, you are right to still be feeling positive.
@adirat- thank you girl, that is comforting to hear!
@c-town18- after I got the nurses message I emailed back and pointed out the slow rise. She talked to the RE and sounded less sure. They offered to do a fourth beta on Friday before my Monday ultrasound. I think none of us will really know what going on until we see what’s developing on Monday. I think I’ll do the beta on Friday for hopefully at least a 50 percent raise. Not feeling so confident now.

@jamieh2000 hang in there! My clinic doesn’t do a third beta and I’m sort of glad, sometimes too much information can make us worry. Hopefully everything will be fine but I know the stress and anxiety very well, just waiting for the other shoe to drop once we get good news. They are still strong numbers and like you said, maybe one embryo stopped developing but the other one is still going strong. Try and stay positive and just remember......you are pregnant!! Keeping you in my thoughts!
@mtpbadger- I kinda wish I hadn’t done a third one either! Now that I got this result I feel like I need to do a fourth to just make sure it keeps rising. Thanks for the thoughts and I’m gonna do my best to stay as positive as I can.

@JamieH2000 ahhh. It’s hard not to worry. But try and stay positive. When it gets to the thousands the rise is much slower. And like you said maybe one of the embryos stopped growing. (This is actually what happened to me. I didn’t have doubling betas. And when I did ultrasound one sac wasn’t developed.)

@JamieH2000 in my case the second sac stopped growing after the first beta. So the second beta was the worst for me. Here are my betas:
12dp3dt - 281
4 days to next beta... and somewhere along here second sac stopped growing:
16dp3dt - 884
18dp3dt - 1671
Then, at 5w 5d ultrasound confirmed 2 sacs. But second sac was not developed at all. And it was obvious it will not make it.

Thanks @prudence9-2- that is helpful. I'm feeling pretty sure at least one of mine must have stopped growing. Just hoping there is still one strong in there fighting and I will get a good rise tomorrow. I feel so anxious I almost feel sick.

@JamieH2000 - I am so happy for you! I wanted to say "Congratulations" and that I'll be keeping fingers crossed for your bloodwork tomorrow! If I were in your shoes, I'd be anxious too - you've had a long, tough road. But I'm rooting for you and want you to have a take home baby!
@funkykey- Thank you for rooting for me! I am still rooting for you too and hope that Aug/Sept gets here ASAP so you can do your ER and ET!!
AFM- well its been a stressful 48 hours. I woke up this morning and got out of bed and felt that "gush". You know like when you get AF? Luckily it was all brown, and i know spotting is normal for lots of ladies, but I was assuming the worst this morning after the beta only rose 43% last time and then started spotting. Well the nurse just emailed and my HCG rose to 10900!! that is a 170% increase from Wed. I do NOT get wtf my body is doing to me! Like can't it just rise normally?! So at least I will be able to sleep this weeekend and I am just counting the hours until the U/S on Monday. Hopefully then we will see at least one baby on track for 5 weeks 5 days.

@fivetimesnoluck- thank you for the support! The last day has truly been the hardest.
AFM- on the ultrasound we saw two sacs that according to my RE were where they should be for 5+5. I also have a very large SCH between the sacs, so that is where the bleeding is coming from. THey can’t do anything about it and most resolve on their own. I am stopping baby aspirin. Just praying I don’t have to much more bleeding. I don’t go back until next Tuesday. So now just taking not super easy until then. No lifting or anything like that.

@JamieH2000 WHOA! TWO?! That is incredibly exciting. Congratulations!!
I am hyper-aware of the fact that today's appointment probably didn't provide as much relief as you may have expected. After years of struggle, it's hard to believe good things can come your way. But to understand you have an SCH is so important and very likely the only cause of your bleeding. I really, really think that you are on your way to a successful pregnancy. Big hugs. As silly as it may sound to say, try and enjoy it!

@fivetimesnoluck- Thank you girl! Yes I don't think I will really start thinking about two until i see heartbeats. Obviously I am rooting for them both, but would be so blessed to have one heathly one too! I hear you- i am still waiting for the other shoe to drop for sure. Gonna do my best to at least relax and hopefully sleep a little better than I have been. Tonight I am enjoying this good news. But I can't help but wish away the next week and the whole first trimester haha!
@joslynj11- Thank you dear!! yes, IF has def done a number on me. I almost passed out on the way to appt (which is an hour away) and in the waiting room today. On the verge of a panic attack. I did my best to just breath but I was shaking on the u/s table. IF is just SO brutal!! If I hear some heartbeats next week, I may feel confident enough to join you on the other side.
@laurad75- thanks for keeping me in your thoughts! I love the ladies on this board- def a unique bond! I can't believe how close you are getting, what an exciting summer for you!

@JamieH2000 TWINS!! I am so so excited for you!! Going thru so many obstacles, we have just learnt to stress over it all and expect the worst. Try to just enjoy this blessed moment!
AFM, our eggs are on site and so will be starting my cycle soon. But, for now I just need to get over this cold I have.
JamieH2000 - Awesome!! Yup, we all know the feeling of waiting and assuming we're going to hear bad news. I STILL get nervous for every U/S. Not sure when that feeling is going to go away for me but I hope soon. How is your DH holding up in all of this? Is he pumped about the possibility of twins? adc0417 - That's great news! Can't wait to hear more updates. We're all rooting for you!
@JamieH2000 OMG!!! Such great news!!! So happy for you!!!
as for being terrified before appts, after what we’ve been thru, I’m not sure when it goes away. I still have it before every single appt.

@c-town18- after I got the nurses message I emailed back and pointed out the slow rise. She talked to the RE and sounded less sure. They offered to do a fourth beta on Friday before my Monday ultrasound. I think none of us will really know what going on until we see what’s developing on Monday. I think I’ll do the beta on Friday for hopefully at least a 50 percent raise. Not feeling so confident now.

4 days to next beta... and somewhere along here second sac stopped growing:
16dp3dt - 884
18dp3dt - 1671
Then, at 5w 5d ultrasound confirmed 2 sacs. But second sac was not developed at all. And it was obvious it will not make it.
