@galactickates is this the same friend that painted your nursery? She's amazing if so, and if not you have several talented friends!! What is the name of the Etsy shop?
Yes! Her store name is 4thandPineMarket I put the link in the spoiler. She just started it not to long ago and I'm really proud of her. She hand makes everything. Her IG has more stuff that she's made. It doesn't look like she has the mobile for sale yet but I do know she's planning on making them.
@galactickates that actually looks really similar to the mobiles I made for DS2&3! Love the mountain/cloud theme. I’m attaching a crappy screenshot of mine since we are in the middle of swapping rooms around lol
@kmvisioli I found one similar to yours on pinterest that she used for inspiration. We are doing a stary night woodland theme so she added the moon and stars and animals. That's awesome you made yours! It looks great! I can't wait to hang mine up!
@galactickates I found several online that I loved, but they were crazy expensive especially since I needed two matching. Made a matching pair myself for under $20, and it was kind of therapeutic.
Progress on the baby “nook” in our master bedroom. Probably just going to hang some white/light pink floral decorations from Hobby Lobby. Im not going overboard because we have to move when the baby will be around 6 months. The mattress on the floor will go in our PnP for her.
@kaf1788 it feels like a teenagers room and I'm not ready. He loves it. He got up at six am just so he could sit in his chair and hang out in his new room before school.
@jgil85 thanks! It really ties his room together I think. We found it at the pottery barn kids outlet nearby. DH is adamant about getting quality wool rugs and I always scoff at how expensive they are but we got it for like, 1/3 of the price and both boys were ecstatic so.......
For anyone that doesn't have room in their nurseries for a dresser how did you store all of your LOs clothes. This question is really for everyone storing clothes solely in the closet. We only have a one shelf above the hanger pole. I'm just wondering what you used. We just don't have room in his nursery for a dresser
@galactickates my good friend just has shelves and/or cubbies in the closet with small open-top bins. I think hers are organized by type of clothing (like one of onesies, one of pants, one of pjs, etc.) with sizes she’s not currently using in bigger storage tubs.
@galactickates I use cubbies in the closet. The 9 cube seem to be the best. I hang all shirts, dresses, sweaters, etc up and then fold the pants and stack them in the cubbies. I have a couple little storage cubes for hats, socks, and shoes. It works pretty darn well.
@galactickates we ended up fitting a dresser in the closet. But we did look at target and they have shelve systems that are like the cubby holes but you can fit different size bins in them and configure how you want. They were reasonable pricing and a good option. Below is just one of the options.
We decided on a theme..woodland! We're going to attempt a mountain mural on one wall, and otherwise the color we already had the room when it was an office is perfect and we're keeping that. I'm excited to get started. There's lots of cute décor things that husband can make (he does woodworking), though I can see him putting it off until baby arrives.

I'm going to get one of those cube cubbies (with the little fabric cubes you can put inside) and put it in the closet. I'll have clothes hanging above the cubby, and use the cubes for whatever I can't hang up. Here's a picture off pinterest for inspiration:
My nursery is still a straight up disaster but we decided to skip to the fun part and start putting up the accent wall a few panels at a time. I'm obsessed with how cute it's looking!
Our nursery theme is based off of the Floral Fields bedding from Target. The walls are getting painted Sherwin Williams Sea Salt. White crib & dresser. I got these flowers yesterday from Hobby Lobby to put on the wall over the crib. Everything looks great in my head and I'm hopeful that the execution of it all turns out just as good! I will post some more pictures as we make progress!
We got the dresser for the nursery assembled today! The assembly was a giant PITA, but it's solid wood, sturdy, and was a great deal on Amazon, so overall i think it was worth the hassle. And, now we have the dresser to use as temporary storage for the miscellaneous other baby gear we're collecting.
Here's a close- up of the nightlight. I got it on Etsy, and absolutely love it.
This is our nursery so far. My husband is going to make some art for the wall above the crib and we already have a piece from a former student is his. On the other side of the room not pictured is a 1950s desk with a house nightlight. And yes there is a gun safe in there still... this room use to be ours but we switched to the larger room and have yet to move it. My favorite part though is the piggy bank my grandfather made me and hopefully the rocking horse my father made me will eventually make its way here (it is still at my parents in WV).
Finally decided on a theme for our nursery - we are going with a woodland creature theme. We found these really cute animal and tree wall clings on Amazon. And the sheets and blankets we registered for are all animal and tree themed. We aren't super into decorating so that will probably be it for us. But I am happy we have a design plan figured out in case any of our more artistically inclined friends or relatives asks. Lol.
We finally got artwork up in the nursery! Aside from some minor things, we should be done today. It’s pretty much my favorite room in the house at the moment. Top picture is above the changing table, middle left pic is above the crib, and middle right is above the bookshelf. Last pic is the fourth wall.

There's. lots of cute stuff on target for this room and I am just in love. DS now wants his room changed from sports to dinosaurs (he was navy & red sports themed) because he wants navy and green too like his little brother. I don't want him to because I LOVE his room...but we will see

I just washed all of his clothes and blankets we just got. I have to get storage cubes for everything, so right now it's just folded in his crib. He's got sheets on his bed though and we hung his mobile that my best friend made
I saw my H standing in the doorway after he hung the mobile and he had tears in his eyes. He said he could picture LO in his crib looking up at it.
Babygirls room. Been completed for quite some time. Definitely my favorite room in the house. Can’t wait to be in here with her. Elephants 🐘 are my favorite and is the theme for my shower and obviously her room.
@ms_stevens87 that looks amazing! We chose elephants as a theme for baby girl’s room, too!
I’m jealous that you’ve all gotten so much done. We haven’t even started the baby room yet, but we are going to pick up a crib this weekend, which will most likely sit in its’ box in the garage for a few weeks. We have to move the guest room furniture downstairs, but our basement is currently under construction, so we have to finish up some of that first. I’m hoping to be able to start at least painting the baby’s room by the beginning of November.
@galactickates I LOVE your mountains!! we're doing mountains, too, but only on one wall and 2-tone since we're not crafty lol but you did very very well on yours!
@baileym9126 thank you 😊 I’m kind of neurotic so I had to start on it once I hit second tri. I didn’t want to procrastinate Bc when I do it takes forever to get going again. I never took before pictures but the room was baby blue and had carpet that needed to get ripped up. Plus we scrubbed the walls and ceiling Bc a smoker was in that room. Lots of cleaning and painting, very happy it’s done tho. I would hate to have done all that work now

@DLpanda08 we’re doing a Disney theme too! I think we’re going to get an Arrendale decal to go behind her crib and I ordered this print.
