The OB has a spot open in 45 minutes, and my OB's office is a 10-minute walk from my own office, so I'm in luck! I'm glad that I'll have some reassurance before going into the weekend!
@hannahbananas11- I am so glad you are ok! I have nearly fainted, like room going faded and spotty and spinny in my vision. and so lightheaded and had to grab a wall or immediately sit down even if on the floor, many times but not actually fainted this pregnancy. That context you were in sounds like a prime one, esp the hunger and the standing and not moving the body thing. I am glad you are checking with your doc, but I would not be too concerned. When I told mine about my regular feeling like I am abojy to pass out, she said to make sure I am well hydrated and always have snacks. Sounds like the payoff was decent with the seats and the hunks, BAHAHAHA
@hannahbananas11 that is scary and I’m glad you’re getting in this morning for a check up! Let us know how it goes!
I’ve gotten very light headed a lot this pregnancy usually when I haven’t eaten in awhile (I forget sometimes) or get up too fast. All the tips everyone has given you are good-stay hydrated and keep snacks on hand. Pregnancy puts a lot of strain on your body so you’ve gotta keep up that support.
I’m also happy you got some better seats and some hunky attention as a result though!
@hannahbananas11 that's so scary! I'm a BIG fainter - I faint all the damn time, but have yet to while pregnant (although I've come close). As everyone else said, it sounds like you had a gentle-ish fall, but I would think your OB would still want you to come in to check just in case you've got some blood sugar stuff going on. We'll be thinking of you!
OB checked the baby, and baby is fine! She thinks that the combination of not eating or drinking for a few hours, plus standing for a while plus stuffy room all created a perfect storm. She's not very concerned right now just because I've not had any dizzy spells otherwise, but if I have any more then I'll let her know. She did find some trace blood in my urine today, so she's sending that in to the lab in case I have a UTI. So I get to go into the weekend knowing baby is healthy and knowing that I might have a UTI! You win some, you lose some, I guess. LOL
@hannahbananas11 how scary! I’m a pregnancy fainter from super low blood pressure but I’m usually able to get on the ground before I black out, it’s a terrible experience especially when it happens around people and everyone panics. I’m glad baby is fine. Hopefully you don’t have a UTI, they definitely suck
Stomach is bothering me, probs all the chips and a cookie I had at lunch. I normally don’t eat like that, and it hurts now. Also, I was so overwhelmed today, it just seemed like all everyone did was talk to me about me being pregnant and nothing else... it got overwhelming after a while, not helping my stomach ache. I can’t eat that’s how icky it is. I’m probably overtired too.
@cass06_07 Yes, I'd agree that you're definitely pregnant! I find it hilarious that at random points this far along when I feel baby move or have heartburn, I'll still say to myself "Yup, this confirms it: I'm pregnant." As if the 5 ob visits and the pregnancy test and the audible heartbeat and the months of puking weren't strong enough evidence. LOLOL
Finally starting to get some relief from my UTI, I’m now on a second course of antibiotics and finally the cramping and constant pain is subsiding. Baby is constantly having a dance party in there though which I love. I’ve also had an increase in discharge
Thank goodness @lifeislove87! Aw, I can't wait til I start feeling dance parties... I feel some movement and a couple kicks so far but no dance parties!!
On another note, I bought a new bra, underwire is still a must! It's official I'm up 2 inches on my bra band and a full cup size... look out hubby, these girls can cause suffocation!
My body is begging me to rest - way too many BH contractions, especially for 19 weeks. I haven’t been able to since I got up for the day at 4 am (after no sleep since DH wouldn’t keep his CPAP on). I may kill DH today.
