Ok! Blood work done! Let’s see what’s going on in my body to see why AF hasn’t showed up yet! I am feeling crampy this morning so I’m hoping AF shows up on her own.
@ndz2018 WOOHOO for finally moving forward!! Hopefully they're able to get things started and get AF here asap. I am also doing a saline sono once Af arrives so hopefully we can be on the same schedules
@leilee101 Nurse just called and my Blood work is at baseline but still no AF!!! The same exact thing happened when I was starting my ER cycle I was about 13 days late and of course AF showed up 6- 7 hours after I left the clinic to see what was holding it up lol... So now I have to go back in the morning to do an Ultrasound( why they didn't do it this morning I don't know ) unless by some miracle I get it between now and tomorrow morning at 6am. If it doesn't show up on its own they'll start me on Provera I'm sure for about 5-7 days then I'll get AF, then go on BCP, hopefully get my Saline Sono scheduled 6 days after that, THEN stop BCP as long as all looks well and FINALLY get this FET rolling
Please everyone send me your bloodiest vibes FX It shows up between now and tomorrow morning. Either way It's looking like my FET will be toward the end of Oct i'm guessing 10/23 or 10/30( my doctor does her transfers on Tuesdays)
@ndz2018 In honor of Tuesdays, I hope that witch shows up tomorrow.
Bloody vibes coming at ya

I’m actually waiting for an ultrasound right this second to see what’s going on with the UTE!!!!About 3 people ahead of me. I came in extra early too ( got in exactly at 6am when they open) today and there’s still a line oh well. I hoping all looks well.. I’ll keep you guys posted!
*UPDATE - Looks like they are calling Provera in to my pharmacy at some point today so we can get this party started!!! Just waiting for instructions for my nurse.
@ndz2018 I hate it when AF doesn’t show up, it shows up on time all year but then when you try to start a cycle it takes forever. Good luck on your sonogram. Hopefully everything is ok.
I just got my calendar and tentative transfer is 10/22. Can’t wait.
hi ladies... i am going to jump in! i am doing a natural (augmented) FET - currently taking letrozole and will do an HCG trigger plus PIO. My mid cycle scan will be Saturday (CD11). The stress with this is that we don't have a true transfer date (just have to follow the monitoring) but it allowed us to do the transfer 2 weeks earlier, plus this way I don't have to take BCPs (my body hates them)... anybody done an FET like this before? I'm curious what the monitoring (if any) will be like between trigger and transfer day.

@wishing-and-hoping - I wish I could say I have done unmedicated, but I've never been given the option! Less medication and hormones sounds like the way to go, especially if it gets you to transfer sooner! Good luck and keep us updated, I want to hear all about it. @ndz2018 - have you tried wearing white pants, or going swimming?? I am sending many menstrual vibes!
AFM, I just had an ultrasound then started Lupron yesterday, and it didn't sting like I remembered! Feels more real now that I'm using needles...
@ndz2018 sending lots of period wishes your way! who knows and it arrives before your start provera, but if not, you have a plan and more clarity about your dates, no extra stress needed here :-)
@wishing-and-hoping All 3 FET were medicated for me, I don't know if my clinic offers unmedicated, because when I had no need to have a specific date for my transfer, they still put me on BCP first. This time I wanted to have it on a Saturday, so one more reason to do the medicated version. I think I would prefer to have it earlier, than knowing the exact day, also I feel that I am bombarding my body with so much medication
@ndz2018 yay for starting provera to move things along! Did the ultrasound show anything significant? I bet it's all the stress from your dumb clinic @wishing-and-hoping I've only done cycles with estrogen tablets but letrozole is just a gentle fertility drug (I used it for an IUI). You probably won't have any monitoring in between trigger and transfer, but I'm just guessing here. Also guessing that the other monitoring will be the same, they just care about that lining getting nice and plump.
Congrats to the ladies who have gotten their calender or started their cycle! I hope my hcg test Thursday comes back neg so I can start looking forward to AF soon..
Hi ladies! I was to do a September FET but my cycle was cancelled due to wonky hormones, so here I am for October! Happy to join all of you! I’m on CD5 and my FET is scheduled for Oct. 4. This will be my 5th transfer (3rd FET). My RE would prefer I do a natural cycle because I O on my own, but I put my foot down and demanded a programmed cycle since Sept. was to be natural and my body started playing games. I started Lupron almost 2 weeks ago, and added in estrogen patches this week. Back to the clinic on Thursday for bloodwork.
Quick background (*TW* loss) I’m 35 and DH is 38. We’ve been TTC for 3 years—1 year on our own, 1 year of IUIs, and 1 year of IVF (2 cycles, 4 transfers to date). I’ve had 3 CPs from our last 3 transfers, and “the million dollar work-up” as my RE says. Our original diagnosis was MFI, but we’ve now added RPL. We have 2 PGS normal embryos at our current clinic, of which we will be transferring 1.
@wishing-and-hoping Hi, friend! My last FET was natural (I did not do letrozole but otherwise the same) so I can shed some light on this. For me, I came in on CD10 for b/w and u/s and then they did b/w every single day afterward until they confirmed a surge. (Very important to not have unprotected sex during such cycles, but I’m sure your RE warned you.) Then no monitoring necessary until the FET five days later (assuming you’re doing a day 5 transfer). It was pretty relaxed. Good luck!
Congrats your calendar @knottiee829c you actually going to have yours 2 days before mine! Congrats to you too @mkr_0128 always exciting to get a calendar! @wishing-and-hoping welcome! I never done unmedicated FET, this one going to be my 1st one actually but I have a question regarding unmedicated with trigger, does it mean you have a possibility to have twins? If they let you ovulate and you BD, and transfer a embryo? Or are you not supposed to BD? @hereforthebabies always exciting to start with the protocol, GL to you! @Bababatty welcome and GL for this cycle, praying that it will be the one!
yay @Bababatty! Glad your getting to start your cycle again and that you were able to “take control” via the medicated cycle.
Just curious, did your RPL panel / work up reveal anything? We’re the transfers with CP from PGS tested? Will you be doing anything additional, treatment wise, for this FET?
sorry for the 100 questions. wishing you luck!!!
ETA: glad to hear your also moving forward with Provera @ndz2018. What a long road but you’re getting that much closer to getting started every day!
First off I am sorry for every single person out there going through infertility. I am new to this form so I will introduce myself. Kinda.
I am 26 years old. Have pcos. Started ttc at 22 years old. Went to a specialist and started iui Second try was successfully (who knew how blessed we are) this was with 13 injections of menopur.
So fast forward to now. We have tried iui again 2 times. But my resistance to hormones is worse. (I need 24-30 injection to start making a folical) My last cycle ending in a chemical pregnancy (hate the term because it feels like a loss to us)
So now we are going to try IVF as the doctor has said iui is not for us. Thankfully we can afford 1 try (financially) So I am here asking anyone who has had the same/similar and if they have any tips.
I am not sure why I need so many hormones now. I am so scared I spend all this money to have no good egg or only 1 egg.
Any advice will be appreciated. AF is due on the 8th of October so we hoping to start then (if the corpus luteum cyst is finally gone) I do apologize if I offended anyone xx
Thanks @babydust2507! FX for a successful cycle for you, too!
Thanks @northbeach3! Frustratingly, my work-up has revealed nothing. I asked my RE if there were any more tests (in general, not just for RPL) we could do, and he said, not really at this point. (Other than ERA, which is not done in NYS; he’d send me out of state for it if we have to do another IVF round.) None of the CPs were from PGS-tested embryos. We thawed and tested the remaining embryos from our current clinic this summer, so this will be the first FET with one we know is definitely PGS normal. The biggest difference this cycle is that I’ve added in acupuncture and I stopped drinking alcohol entirely in August (for no reason other than maybe it will help?). We are a source of befuddlement for our RE, lol.
Thanks for sharing @Bababatty . Sorry I’m on mobile so forgive me if this is in your signature. How many total embryos did you have from your ER cycle? And then how many did you still have on ice that you sent out to test? And how many tested normal?
i had 6 untested and am down to 3. After my first two MC I wanted to send the rest out for testing but my RE counseled against it due to thaw/refreeze loss. I’m hoping my recent transfer landed on a “normal” embryo but there’s just no telling. I’m trying to get a sense on probabilities — of my six, how many may have rated normal vs abnormal? My re just wants to keep transferring until we find the lucky one but that’s so easily for him to say.
excited youll be transfwring a PGS tested one. Hopefully that’s all that’s needed at this point.
@wishing-and-hoping hi! I am currently on the Sept FET board ( was lurking over here) i did the same protocol as you. **TW I had repeated CP/miscarriages over the past two years so my doctor suggested we do the natural/medicated cycle in hopes that the issue was my body doesnt like the estrogen replacement. Heres how my clinic did it: letrazole days 4-7. U/S and BW 4 days after last pill (my 2 follicles were 11&10 mm) so came back 4days after that (follicles were 19&18.5) they had me come back the next morning (follicles were 19.85 and 19.2) was told to take the trigger shot the next morning. Cames back 36 hours after that to make sure i ovulated (started progesterone and medrol next day)and then 5 days later i had the transfer. My times are a little adjusted due to my uterine lining being pre-receptive- so i meed an extra 12 hours of progesterone. Im pretty sure that affected the time I did the trigger shot and progesterone. But that should give you a general outline. Hope it helps!!
@northbeach3 No worries! I am always happy to answer questions. From our last ER, we had 5 of which we transferred one fresh and froze 4. So we ended up testing the 3 remaining frozen embies (since we transferred 1 for my last FET). 2 came back normal. Honestly, we were all hoping they would all be (or at least 2 would be) abnormal because my RE felt that could explain the issue—ie that we had a bad batch of eggs and should try again. Talk about surreal to be praying for all abnormals. (I should add that he feels that the embies from my first IVF cycle, at a different clinic, failed because they overcooked my eggs, but we won’t know. We have 1 remaining embie there and chose not to test it because it would take too much time to transfer it to our new clinic.) So I can’t give you a good sense of probabilities, unfortunately. FWIW, My RE did note that if we have another CP or failure, it could be because we harassed (my words, not his) the embies by thawing, biopsying, and refreezing, but he seemed to discount that possibility. He felt the risk of destroying the embryos entirely was negligible (and indeed they all survived the thaw). I was also planning to use my body as a testing ground rather than PGS-testing up until our last CP.
also, i lurk the sept FET board - congrats on your AWESOME betas!

Thanks for the rundown @Bababatty. I hear you on hoping for pgs testing to reveal the abnormalities as a explanation for the CP/MCs. IF is a mind fuck!!
Well I hope that all the past issues were just bad luck and that this is the lucky cycle. FX for you!
Thanks for the explanation @Bababatty. I have 9 untested remaining as my fresh transfer was a BFN. I started thinking of PGS testing but my RE wasn't really for it without giving me much details. I just hope this FET will be the one because I don't know if I will wanna go thru that 9 times or just risk to have my embies defrosted/thawed/refrozen and hope they will survive . I don't think financially, emotionally, and physically we can afford another IVF cycle. Again GL to you!
*lurking* thanks @northbeach3 for asking the same questions that I now may have to consider. And thank you @Bababatty for sharing - fx your pgs normal embryo will result your thb.
Hi Ladies. I'm new to this board but not infertility. Very short story: been married since 2013, went through IVF for the 1st time in 2016 which ended with our DS in Dec 2016. We have 4 frozen PGS tested embabies left from our first retrieval. We have now started cycle number 2 with FET date of Oct 4.
@Bababatty looks like we are on the same schedule @hereforthebabies- i'm with you on the Lupron. Althgouh I do feel like I'm way more of a mess this time with all of the hormones. Maybe it's because I haven't already been on a ton for a few months but wow my poor husband is getting the rough end of my moods. lol @ndz2018 - any luck today???
I can't tell you ladies how incredibly amazing it is to have women to talk to that know exactly what you are going through every step of the way. I love not only the support but what we all learn from each other along the way.
Me: 33 (no known issues)
DH: 33 (lower motility; 0 morphology) TTC since Oct 2013 IVF round 1 January 2016 (w/ ICSI) ER: February 17, 2016; 15 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 11 fertilized Day 5 Blastocysts: 8 sent for PGS - 5 Normal FET date: April 12, 2016 - DS born Dec 7, 2016 IVF round 2: FET : Oct 4 - 1st Beta 188!
@Griffin5413 welcome and congrats on getting started with #2! Hope you start October off strong @Bababatty same to you (both the welcome and to starting the month off strong). We are also MFI and considering testing for RPL after one CP and one MC. We have one frozen embie so doesn't make sense to test thaw and PSG that one, but we will def do PGS if this last FET failed and we have to cycle again.
AFM, had my THIRD blood draw post D&C today, levels still not at 0.. they came back at 132. soo close. Hopefully one more week, although that's what they said last week. I hope it hurries up already or I'll def be looking at a November FET!
Welcome @Griffin5413 and GL on starting baby #2 that's exciting and October 4th is around the corner!!! yay! @leilee101 sorry that your HCG is not back to 0 yet, is it possible that it could take less than a week? when is your next appt for another bloodwork? @purplg8r glad to know that AF showed up and you can get started! GL on your appt on Monday. I actually have my baseline appt on Monday too! I will be taking my last BCP this sunday, So glad it's almost over, finally!
@Griffin5413 Welcome, transfer buddy!! Good luck!! Also ditto on poor DH and my Lupron moods. I am not a nice wife right now.
@leilee101 Yeah, our RE had us do the RPL b/w after our second CP so definitely worth considering if, God forbid, another loss happens. It’s so frustrating to have an initially straightforward diagnosis and get this curveball, as you know! I’m sorry about your HCG still not 0’d out. FX for a fast drop on the remainder!
AFM CD7, b/w came back fine so continuing on with the Lupron and estrogen. Back for more b/w on Monday. I’m very lucky that my only real side effect is a complete lack of patience (sorry, DH!).
Hi ladies!! I’m jumping in and joining this thread now I’m positive this is the route we are going. For those who don’t know me from the September IVF thread a quick intro!
I just turned 30 a few days ago! And my husband and I have been ttc for five years. I have PCOS and Crohn’s disease which has required multiple surgeries. Unfortunately those surgeries caused injury to my tubes which cause bilateral hydrosalphix. So here I am now. I had a tubal ligation done in August to block my tubes off and keep the toxic fluid from hurting my IVF chances. And just finished my stims and had my ER yesterday! It was quite the story because my body did not react to the Lupron trigger. Apparently this happens in 1% of women. So they tried five follicles found no eggs and canceled it. Had me retrigger! And then yesterday returned and we got 17 eggs! I’m so relieved!!!
Now just waiting on my fertilization reports and to find out how many we will be freezing/what my schedule is for the next step in this journey. I’m so happy to be here able to share and support with all of you and good luck to everyone!!
Hello ladies. Got through the storm here. Got the green light to move on. My Saline and baseline US were normal. I am stopping my OCP tomorrow. Then on to retrace and then PIO. I also had an acupuncture treatment yesterday. I did this with my first IVF and it’s so relaxing. Trying to keep my stress levels down.
So if everything keeps moving in the right direction we will have our FET on October 16th.
Wishing everyone success in the weeks to come.
Married 11 years. PCOS; TTC since 2009; 3 unsuccessful IUIs; New RE. First & Hopefully Last IVF November 2013.

So fast forward to now. We have tried iui again 2 times. But my resistance to hormones is worse. (I need 24-30 injection to start making a folical)
My last cycle ending in a chemical pregnancy (hate the term because it feels like a loss to us)
So now we are going to try IVF as the doctor has said iui is not for us. Thankfully we can afford 1 try (financially)
So I am here asking anyone who has had the same/similar and if they have any tips.
I am not sure why I need so many hormones now.
I am so scared I spend all this money to have no good egg or only 1 egg.
Any advice will be appreciated. AF is due on the 8th of October so we hoping to start then (if the corpus luteum cyst is finally gone)
I do apologize if I offended anyone xx
Thanks @northbeach3! Frustratingly, my work-up has revealed nothing. I asked my RE if there were any more tests (in general, not just for RPL) we could do, and he said, not really at this point.
i had 6 untested and am down to 3.

Hope it helps!!

thanks @northbeach3 for asking the same questions that I now may have to consider. And thank you @Bababatty for sharing - fx your pgs normal embryo will result your thb.
@Bababatty looks like we are on the same schedule
@hereforthebabies- i'm with you on the Lupron. Althgouh I do feel like I'm way more of a mess this time with all of the hormones. Maybe it's because I haven't already been on a ton for a few months but wow my poor husband is getting the rough end of my moods. lol
@ndz2018 - any luck today???
I can't tell you ladies how incredibly amazing it is to have women to talk to that know exactly what you are going through every step of the way. I love not only the support but what we all learn from each other along the way.
TTC since Oct 2013
IVF round 1 January 2016 (w/ ICSI)
ER: February 17, 2016; 15 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 11 fertilized

FET date: April 12, 2016 - DS born Dec 7, 2016
IVF round 2: FET : Oct 4 - 1st Beta 188!
@Bababatty same to you (both the welcome and to starting the month off strong).
@leilee101 sorry that it's not at zero yet! Hopefully it gets there sooner than later
@leilee101 ugh! That’s so frustrating! I’m sorry!
AF started today so I called my RE and my appt isn’t until Monday. So I think that pushes my FET back a few days
@purplg8r and @babydust2507 Good luck with your baselines on Monday!!
AFM CD7, b/w came back fine so continuing on with the Lupron and estrogen. Back for more b/w on Monday. I’m very lucky that my only real side effect is a complete lack of patience (sorry, DH!).
So if everything keeps moving in the right direction we will have our FET on October 16th.
Wishing everyone success in the weeks to come.
Married 11 years. PCOS; TTC since 2009; 3 unsuccessful IUIs;
New RE. First & Hopefully Last IVF November 2013.
