@madreofdragons Yep! I’m in SC. I’m not on the coast, but our schools all closed down and they’re saying we’re going to see hurricane force winds here.
Feeling super excited but slightly freaked. Had our elective scan today for the gender. First of all, we did the 4d one so it is so real now...we are having a kid(sorry, ftm here)! Secondly, it is definitely not the girl we thought. Very clear pictures of it being a boy. So now back to the drawing boards for names!
Speaking of Florence, DH sent me this, very similar to the policy at my former job. My office might shut down Monday, depending on how bad it is when Florence makes it’s way up here:

@hannahbananas11 mhmm. Exactly. It's gonna be an interesting couple of days. Especially since I already have my family in town that weekend AND Homecoming at the school where I work/my husband coaches/my family and I attended. Gonna be a BIG weekend.
My in laws live closer to the coast. I’m worried I’m going to have either MIL or FIL or potentially both at our house, too. MIL will bring her loser husband (her and FIL divorces when DH was super young and the guy she’s married to now is an annoying over the top MAGA hat wearing redneck that no one can stand) and an annoying as hell dog. FIL is just crazy and lazy. If any of them come, it will be my family of four and these people crammed in a 3bd2ba 1500sqft house. And I can’t drink.
@madwhitlove - I have it during pregnancy if I sleep on my back because of how things relax. Now that I’m side sleeping I have almost no episodes. It only happens while pregnant for me. DH has pretty bad apnea all the time regardless of weight.
Im laying in bed nude (in clean white sheets) while the kids nap. It’s glorious. MIL is here (for two days) and has brought up DHs eventual vasectomy 3 times.
So the most terrifying thing that has ever happened in real life around me happened today. My oldest and her best friend got attacked by hornets today. My DD ended up with 7 stings. Her friend ended up with 10. Every time I killed one, two more landed on her. I have never been more scared in my life. I’m seriously over this week. It’s been shit-tastic and can end any time.
Omg @PurplePoppy424 that is terrifying I hope they’re ok! I have a horrible fear of bugs especially spiders so I pray to God I never have to deal with bugs and DS (unlikely, I know)
Thanks guys. Thank God, they’re both okay. Other than the stings they got, anyways. DD’s friend got it worse than she did and hers are swelling badly. DD’s thankfully not swelling that much. They’re both traumatized. DD has pretty much said she’s never playing outside again. I feel terrible for them.
