Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Rave: as I mentioned in the random thread, I got picked to test a sewing pattern for a maternity shirt! Made my fit test out of some jersey sheets last night, and I actually plan to wear it even though it's made from bed sheets lol. I can't wait to make my final version though with nice fabric!!
Dear Diary: if these damn yeast infections could give me more than one weeks worth of relief, that would be great. My OB tested for a more resistant strain and it came back negative, so I guess I just get to live with infections this whole pregnancy. FX it's clear for labor/delivery though, ugh.
GTKY: What is your favorite season? Do you get much of it where you live?
(Hope this question isn't too similar to last weeks, I couldn't think of anything else)
I love fall! I like wearing sweaters, and being able to light a fire in the fireplace, watching the leaves change colors. Plus Halloween and carving pumpkins, pumpkin pie.
@CecilB93 shirt made out of bed sheets?!? how very sound of music of you! And sorry about your yeast infections, that must be sooooo annoying.
How far along are you? How big is baby?
25+5 baby is big-ish? prarie dog /baseball glove sized lol
How are you feeling this week? Any new
symptoms?
+1 i miss sleep. And I miss being able to go all day without being totally exhausted. I guess the 2nd tri glory days are coming to an end (i really did have them). Also apparently I have acne now? i have gotten 3 zits on my chin in the last week?
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
4 day workweek! Wooooo. Is it bad I'm already looking forward to the weekend? but my baby shower invites will go out this week, so that's fun.
GTKY: What is your favorite season? Do you get much of it where you live?
I like them all. At the beginning. I am SO OVER SUMMER right now, though. It was 95 and muggy yesterday and just so miserable. I am totally ready for fall. But then it'll get cold and muddy and I'll be happy for some snow and cold. Then in march, I'll be totally over it and ready for warmth again. Spring is usually our shortest season here, but I like it when we have it! And by that time, I'll be ready for the heat and we'll be in our new house that has central air! So maybe next summer will be ok
No new symptoms but yessss I miss sleep too. It doesn’t help that DD is going through some kind of regression and she keeps waking up in the middle of the night to cry for one minute and then goes back to sleep. Sigh. At least I don’t have to get up but I’m having a hard time staying asleep to begin with.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Not much going on here other than trying to keep my house spotless 24/7. Thank God we have a small house!
GTKY: What is your favorite season? Do you get much of it where you live?
I really like fall and spring. I hate winter. I’m always just over the top cold/too hot thing so the mild weather is always a nice change. I love the fall leaves and all the trees coming back in the spring! We only get a couple of weeks of nice weather on both ends so I try to enjoy it when it’s here.
@cecilb93 I’m sorry you keep getting yeast infections! They are terrible in the best of times but I’m sure dealing with that while pregnant is just awful. Do you know what happens if you have one when you go into labor? Is it like a group b strep situation?
@CecilB93 Ugh, that sounds miserable. I'm sorry you're dealing with that. On another note, making your own maternity clothes is awesome. I can't even sew on a button.
@morgantu NOPE +1 to ready for the weekend, and I've been at work for approximately 1 hour. When is your shower?
@rosebud332 Would a white noise machine maybe help with the sleep? Since your goes back to sleep right away, anyway? Forgive me if my FTM ignorance is showing

Tired, like everyone else. And my brain is fried. I missed my PT appointment this morning, for no reason other than I just forgot. Everything is so foggy these days!
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
I need to get in nesting mode. I say this every week, and nothing ever changes. I did finally order some baby bedroom decor, though! Maybe once that arrives, I'll feel more motivated.
GTKY: What is your favorite season? Do you get much of it where you live?
Usually it's Summer, but not this year! I was limited a lot this year due to being KU, and now I am living for Fall. I'm super close to 3rd tri, and end of Summer means closer to baby I'm actually even excited for Winter this year, and I didn't think that was possible!
How far along are you? How big is baby? 26 weeks tomorrow? Jiminy Christmas. Size of a Double Gulp or a fancy french soda. Guess we're really sticking to the beverages this week.
How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms? Great! H was giving me grief last night for going to the chiropractor but I told him I'm in zero pain and I'm not going to stop.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary? Dear diary, pregnancy is boring. Can it be December yet?
GTKY: What is your favorite season? Do you get much of it where you live? I like all of the seasons as they're approaching. I'm super sick of summer right now, and ready for it to cool down to fall. I can't remember when that happened last year though.

@Hollyyyyy Not ignorant at all! We actually have one and it’s a life saver. Highly recommend getting one to everybody. Unfortunately I think this is just a phase we have to ride out. It might be that she’s having little nightmares or something. We have a night light which also helps but I think she’s just going through a little sleep regression right now.
How far along are you? How big is baby?
26+1, baby is 14" and 1.7lbs. That's as big as some of DD's baby dolls. Yikes.

The heartburn is back. Oy.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Anyone know when these kids are supposed to get with the program and move head-down for good? I'm sure I've asked this before, so I apologize for the repeat. For some reason I'm super paranoid about this baby doing his thing, even though the first two had no problem.
GTKY: What is your favorite season? Do you get much of it where you live? I'll be basic and say fall. We used to get a lot more of it, but now it's like one nice weekend and three months of summer and winter duking it out. #thanksglobalwarming
@runrinserepeat I think they can move down pretty much right up til the end and some might be down already. Of course my first never flipped at all so what do I know? But at my a/s they did tell me baby was breech but that it was normal at that point.
@runrinserepeat I think by the last month they generally settle in? But like Rosebud said, they can still flip if needed. I’m also sort of paranoid. I feel like at this point I was definitely feeling more kicks to the side (he used to stretch his legs out and it was so annoying!) but I could be remembering wrong.

Actually, FWIW, Spinning Babies seems to think things should be settled by 32 weeks ideally, and that at 26 they'll start moving vertical. Eeeeeeee, time to start all the exercises to encourage this little dude to get in place.
@runrinserepeat I also think they can flip pretty close to the end. Mine was breech at my A/S, but was head down at my follow up appt 2 weeks later. The ultrasound tech said that's super common, and she may flip many more times before my EDD.
@morgantu yea, they're jersey sheets so they stretch. Very much like tshirt material! I actually kind of like it though, feels great for a lounge/casual shirt!
@rosebud332 I honestly have no idea about a YI during labor, I'm thinking about asking at my next appointment. I know my mom had some other infection with my sister, not yeast, and she said it was super painful.
@Hollyyyyy “end of summer means closer to baby” YESSSSS.
@PensiveCrayon Crap - I forgot to call around for a chiropractor for DH and me. Does Tricare cover the adjustments?
@runrinserepeat Sorry about the heartburn returning. Zantac is my new BFF sadly.
How far along are you? How big is baby?
25+6, some sort of cauliflower/kale baby.
How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
Pretty alright so far! My OB cleared me for daily Zantac (just 150mg right now), so I've been taking one at 5pm to help in the evenings, and I still enjoy my post-meal Tums. My back hurts in the evening, so I've been trying to to mitigate that by lounging as best I can during the day.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Dear diary, I feel like I'm getting bigger every few days and I like it! Mostly I like it because kiddo's movements are bigger albeit unpredictable. He's been laying across my abdomen and impressing me with his seemingly coordinated punch & kick combos. Luckily I sleep like the dead so he doesn't wake me up with dance parties.
GTKY: What is your favorite season? Do you get much of it where you live? Summer is still my favorite, but this one hasn't been as much fun since we've been KU. Normal summers involve lots of pool parties, wine by a fire pit, and flying to Vegas to ruin the checking account - but not this summer. We've taken in one pool party (I'll share my sunburn tomorrow if I can get a classy photo), haven't gone to LV, and avoided being outside because Alabama mosquitos looooove DH too much. Regardless, we usually do get plenty of summer living in the the central United States.

@echo-charlietango For pregnancy-specific adjustments I would try to find a chiro certified in the Webster technique. Not sure if there will be any there though. We’re very lucky to have one in Butt Nowhere, AL. She is pregnant now and has to drive down to Florida for hers!

I feel like my wife has finally started to feel great in the last couple of weeks after the horrendous first trimester stuff lasting way too long. I'm guessing that's about to end.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
I really can't say enough about my awesome family. We are the last ones to have a kid and my cousin and my brother and their wives have shipped a literal truck load of baby stuff to us via my awesome parents who are driving half way across the country for us. They really are the best!
GTKY: What is your favorite season? Do you get much of it where you live?
We relocated to the Pacific Northwest a little over a year ago from the Midwest and the seasons here are pretty sweet! I definitely do not miss muggy summers and bone chilling winters. My favorite season is spring when the trees start to flower and everything is so green.
@flamingomomma sending you big hugs- I know it’s hard, I’ve been there (albeit, not pregnant!). You’re doing the best thing for you and your little!
@echo-charlietango I’m on Tricare as well... I wish they’d start paying for adjustments . I pay $45 per adjustment and it’s definitely worth it!!
@runrinserepeat My first two settled in pretty early on. DS3 was a stubborn little thing and didn’t flip til 37 weeks after a lot of chiropractor visits and handstands in the pool!
How far along are you? How big is baby?
25+4 I believe! Cauliflower sized.
How are you feeling this week? Any new

Sameeeee. Hot, tired, and huge.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Dear Diary, the first week of school is so hard- especially because my kids slept in! That early alarm clock is killin’ me!
GTKY: What is your favorite season? Do you get much of it where you live?
Fall and spring for sure. We actually got a decent spring this year. Hoping fall has the same plan!

@orangecrush32 I'm happy to see another military spouse on here! In my D16 group it's just me and one other, but it seems like we have a fair amount in this one. I just can never remember who they are, except for Echo because she's like two hours away

Haha, yep, I’m here!! I guess I’ve kept pretty quiet about that aspect of my life... oops!
26 weeks tomorrow, baby is apparently the size of a zucchini.
Feeling pretty good, other than some ferocious heart burn and just tired all the time.
Not it really a rant, as much as a bit sad. My parents come stay with us all summer, from Memorial Day to Labor Day. My kids get really attached to them, and they’re super helpful during my very busy summer season at work. They left Monday to head home to Arizona and it’s been a tough adjustment for all of us!
Favorite season is definitely fall - cooler weather, football season, baseball playoffs, and beautiful fall leaves!
@CecilB93@morgantu I miss sleep too! I'm exhausted but am in so much pain and discomfort that I can't sleep. It's brutal.
@morgantu I'm so glad I'm not the only one who is dealing with random acne. I feel so disgusting. I never break out so apparently I am experiencing third trimester hormones at 26 weeks. Hoping I can get them to go away with extra face washing. But gross. My baby shower invites went out this week too and my mom said she's already getting RSVP's! Yay!
@PensiveCrayon I am so ready for December too! It feels like this is taking forever and I just want to hold my munchkin! Honestly, hoping he'll come a little early (like 37 or 38 weeks so still full term) just because I'm being selfish.
@flamingomomma I'm sorry that you are having to deal with this in general but especially while pregnant. I'll echo what everyone is saying, let us know if you need anything.
How far along are you? How big is baby?
26 weeks, the size things make no sense to me anymore... But he's big!
How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
Acne and insomnia. Gross.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
So ready to meet this little man. My sister in law is having her second baby in less than two weeks and I am honestly struggling that I have to help them welcome another baby before I get my first. (For those of you who don't know my story it's been a long haul to get to this point for me.) Don't get me wrong I'll love that kid more than life but I'm ready for my turn.
GTKY: What is your favorite season? Do you get much of it where you live?
I would say when I lived in Florida and California it was summer. We were always in the pool or at the beach. It was amazing!! The seasons here kind of suck because it could be 90 one day and 50 the next. I'm going to say winter just because that's when little man is due and I love Christmas but I really just love to live in tropical places and love summer!
❤️ thank you! I’ve been pretty quiet, but his emotional abuse is just too much. I have two sons, the 4 year old is always defending me to MH. MH has proceeded to make comments about me being worthless and pathetic, not being able to make it on my own in front of the littles. I’ve tried everything, nothing has changed. So I have to leave everything and start completely over. I don’t make a ton, so I’m going to struggle but it has to be better than living like this.
@flamingomomma That must be so incredibly hard. You are making the best choice for yourself and your family, hang in there. You are strong, you got this, and we are all here to hold your hand through it.
@flamingomomma just chiming in to voice my support at well. you are stronger than you know and just making the decision alone proves that. glad you have this board and hopefully some friends or family IRL you can lean on.

Starting to have lots of pubic pain. Had this last time, but feels like it’s started earlier this time around. Time was flying by, but feels like it’s starting to drag.
Gonna start reading some books/articles to try to prepare DS for new baby. He’s 18mo old. I’m a little worried about his adjustment.
Fall is best. Is there even really a competition?
Me: 36, H: 37 FTM, 2 Furbabies married 03/17/07 lived in Houston, Austin, Los Angeles and NYC due: 2/15/17
@mamajudec2018 oooo yes to the acne. My chin is so broken out right now. And I'm a picker, it's a habit I can't break, so makeup only covers it for so long before I mess it up and look like a middle schooler playing dress up in mom's clothes...or at least that's how I feel lol. And sorry it's not quite your turn to have the baby, but we're getting so close!!! One week to third tri!!!
@CecilB93 A middle schooler playing dress up made me laugh out loud! Having a big old pregnant belly and then acne doesn't really go does it? Mine is also on my chin and my nose and I just feel so unattractive. Thank you! I know, I'm trying so hard to stay positive! It just still feels so far away! And I'm still so scared something will go wrong. Hopefully next baby won't be quite as scary for me!
@krob I know every kid is different, but DD was 22 mo when we brought DS home, and you could not have met a happier big sis. She was so helpful, almost to a fault, and we didn’t have a lot of jealousy issues. She was just so pleased with this little moving doll we had brought home for her. I think it’s a good age for it! Old enough to be involved, but not too old to really register what a large change it is.
@flamingomomma Hugs for you!! You’re doing the right thing by getting yourself and your kids out of that toxic environment. You deserve so much better than that!!

We relocated to the Pacific Northwest a little over a year ago from the Midwest and the seasons here are pretty sweet! I definitely do not miss muggy summers and bone chilling winters. My favorite season is spring when the trees start to flower and everything is so green.
How far along are you? How big is baby?
25w5d! Cauliflower
How are you feeling this week? Any new
symptoms?
Anxiety is still an issue, and omg the lack of sleep.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Dear diary- leaving my husband in the next month. Scared, but my emotional health is worth more.
GTKY: What is your favorite season? Do you get much of it where you live?
Probably fall! I love the colors & watching the leaves change. And the cooler weather!
@flamingomomma you are worth It! I know it's so hard, but everyone will be better off when you're safe and happy. Big hugs.
@flamingomomma sending you big hugs- I know it’s hard, I’ve been there (albeit, not pregnant!). You’re doing the best thing for you and your little!
@echo-charlietango I’m on Tricare as well... I wish they’d start paying for adjustments
Any new
symptoms?

Gross.

Thank you! I know, I'm trying so hard to stay positive! It just still feels so far away! And I'm still so scared something will go wrong. Hopefully next baby won't be quite as scary for me!
