@CecilB93 Ugh, that sounds miserable. I'm sorry you're dealing with that. On another note, making your own maternity clothes is awesome. I can't even sew on a button.

@morgantu NOPE +1 to ready for the weekend, and I've been at work for approximately 1 hour. When is your shower?

@rosebud332 Would a white noise machine maybe help with the sleep? Since your goes back to sleep right away, anyway? Forgive me if my FTM ignorance is showing :|

How far along are you? How big is baby?

25+5, around 2 lbs and over a foot long

How are you feeling this week? Any new

    symptoms?

Tired, like everyone else. And my brain is fried. I missed my PT appointment this morning, for no reason other than I just forgot. Everything is so foggy these days!

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?

I need to get in nesting mode. I say this every week, and nothing ever changes. I did finally order some baby bedroom decor, though! Maybe once that arrives, I'll feel more motivated.

GTKY: What is your favorite season? Do you get much of it where you live?

Usually it's Summer, but not this year! I was limited a lot this year due to being KU, and  now I am living for Fall. I'm super close to 3rd tri, and end of Summer means closer to baby <3 I'm actually even excited for Winter this year, and I didn't think that was possible!

    ETA 3 spelling errors. I'm a mess.

  • @rosebud332 a bottle of wine?!?!?!? holy crap that seems gigantic! wow. no wonder everything is hard, our insides are smooshed!
  • @Hollyyyyy Not ignorant at all! We actually have one and it’s a life saver. Highly recommend getting one to everybody. Unfortunately I think this is just a phase we have to ride out. It might be that she’s having little nightmares or something. We have a night light which also helps but I think she’s just going through a little sleep regression right now. :(

  • @morgantu Lol I know that seems huge! I don’t know what measurements they use to come up with this stuff.

@CecilB93 shirt made out of bed sheets?!? how very sound of music of you!

This was my first thought, too. It sounds way more comfortable than curtains, though.

26+1, baby is 14" and 1.7lbs. That's as big as some of DD's baby dolls. Yikes.

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
    The heartburn is back. Oy.

    Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Anyone know when these kids are supposed to get with the program and move head-down for good? I'm sure I've asked this before, so I apologize for the repeat. For some reason I'm super paranoid about this baby doing his thing, even though the first two had no problem.

GTKY: What is your favorite season? Do you get much of it where you live?
I'll be basic and say fall. We used to get a lot more of it, but now it's like one nice weekend and three months of summer and winter duking it out. #thanksglobalwarming

  • @runrinserepeat I think they can move down pretty much right up til the end and some might be down already. Of course my first never flipped at all so what do I know?  :D But at my a/s they did tell me baby was breech but that it was normal at that point.

  • @runrinserepeat I think by the last month they generally settle in? But like Rosebud said, they can still flip if needed. I’m also sort of paranoid. I feel like at this point I was definitely feeling more kicks to the side (he used to stretch his legs out and it was so annoying!) but I could be remembering wrong.

  • @runrinserepeat I also think they can flip pretty close to the end. Mine was breech at my A/S, but was head down at my follow up appt 2 weeks later. The ultrasound tech said that's super common, and she may flip many more times before my EDD.
  • @Hollyyyyy baby shower Oct 14! 5 days after our move! Ps, only 3 more days of work this week!
  • @morgantu yea, they're jersey sheets so they stretch. Very much like tshirt material! I actually kind of like it though, feels great for a lounge/casual shirt!

@rosebud332 I honestly have no idea about a YI during labor, I'm thinking about asking at my next appointment. I know my mom had some other infection with my sister, not yeast, and she said it was super painful.

  • @morgantu Ugh, I'm on the West coast. I still have 2.5 hours left today :unamused:
  • @Hollyyyyy oh no, I forgot! You can do It!
  • @echo-charlietango No, sadly. I pay $40 for my weekly adjustment and it is worth every penny.

  • @PensiveCrayon $40 is manageable! I'll send out some feelers tonight on Facebag. DH has had a pinch in his shoulder for weeks, and I could use a little loosening up of the general back.

@echo-charlietango For pregnancy-specific adjustments I would try to find a chiro certified in the Webster technique. Not sure if there will be any there though. We’re very lucky to have one in Butt Nowhere, AL. She is pregnant now and has to drive down to Florida for hers!

ETA: I took the liberty of searching for you :joy: Here is your closest one:  https://www.rosechiro.com/ You obviously don’t have to take my recommendation though!

  • @orangecrush32 I'm happy to see another military spouse on here! In my D16 group it's just me and one other, but it seems like we have a fair amount in this one. I just can never remember who they are, except for Echo because she's like two hours away

Haha, yep, I’m here!! I guess I’ve kept pretty quiet about that aspect of my life... oops!  :D

  • 26 weeks tomorrow, baby is apparently the size of a zucchini.

Feeling pretty good, other than some ferocious heart burn and just tired all the time.

Not it really a rant, as much as a bit sad. My parents come stay with us all summer, from Memorial Day to Labor Day. My kids get really attached to them, and they’re super helpful during my very busy summer season at work. They left Monday to head home to Arizona and it’s been a tough adjustment for all of us!

Favorite season is definitely fall - cooler weather, football season, baseball playoffs, and beautiful fall leaves!

  • ❤️ thank you! I’ve been pretty quiet, but his emotional abuse is just too much. I have two sons, the 4 year old is always defending me to MH. MH has proceeded to make comments about me being worthless and pathetic, not being able to make it on my own in front of the littles. I’ve tried everything, nothing has changed. So I have to leave everything and start completely over. I don’t make a ton, so I’m going to struggle but it has to be better than living like this.

  • @flamingomomma That must be so incredibly hard. You are making the best choice for yourself and your family, hang in there. You are strong, you got this, and we are all here to hold your hand through it.

  • @flamingomomma just chiming in to voice my support at well. you are stronger than you know and just making the decision alone proves that. glad you have this board and hopefully some friends or family IRL you can lean on.

Starting to have lots of pubic pain. Had this last time, but feels like it’s started earlier this time around. Time was flying by, but feels like it’s starting to drag.

Gonna start reading some books/articles to try to prepare DS for new baby. He’s 18mo old. I’m a little worried about his adjustment.

Fall is best. Is there even really a competition?

  • @mamajudec2018 oooo yes to the acne. My chin is so broken out right now. And I'm a picker, it's a habit I can't break, so makeup only covers it for so long before I mess it up and look like a middle schooler playing dress up in mom's clothes...or at least that's how I feel lol. And sorry it's not quite your turn to have the baby, but we're getting so close!!! One week to third tri!!!

  • @CecilB93 A middle schooler playing dress up made me laugh out loud! Having a big old pregnant belly and then acne doesn't really go does it? Mine is also on my chin and my nose and I just feel so unattractive.
Thank you! I know, I'm trying so hard to stay positive! It just still feels so far away! And I'm still so scared something will go wrong. Hopefully next baby won't be quite as scary for me!
  • @krob I know every kid is different, but DD was 22 mo when we brought DS home, and you could not have met a happier big sis. She was so helpful, almost to a fault, and we didn’t have a lot of jealousy issues. She was just so pleased with this little moving doll we had brought home for her. I think it’s a good age for it! Old enough to be involved, but not too old to really register what a large change it is.

  • @flamingomomma Hugs for you!! You’re doing the right thing by getting yourself and your kids out of that toxic environment. You deserve so much better than that!!
