Congratulations @xxkberxx -- you handled an impossible situation with so much grace! Look how far you got them! I hope they keep growing strong in the NICU
Thank you for the update! Im so glad to hear they made it as far along as they did and that they’re doing well in the NICU so far. I know several moms of premies and those little guys are such fighters. I’ll be hoping all goes well from here for your new family
@xxkberxx Congratulations! So glad to hear your update. Your family has been on my mind; will continue to keep you and your boys in my prayers moving forward.

Congrats and glad everyone is doing so well. Being a c section NICU mom isn't easy (I know), but luckily it's such a short blip in your lives. Special Congrats to Kaiden!!! What a tough dude. I hope you get lots of rest and lots of baby visit time-take care of yourself!

Congratulations on the birth of your sons. I will continue to keep them in my thoughts and prayers as well as yourself as you recover. Hope that the boys continue to grow stronger daily and that their NICU stay is uneventful.
Congratulations!!!! What miracles you have there! ❤❤❤❤ We will continue to be rooting for you, and thinking of you and your family in the weeks to come... (((hugs)))
@SpongeWorthy I haven’t been able to physically hold them yet but we have done cradle holds within their isolates. There is a possibility that I’ll be able to kangaroo care with Tucker (the bigger twin) today because he is being weaned off breathing support to a nasal cannula. It will probably be a little while before we get to do kangaroo care with Kaiden but at least he’s been stable. I will be living in their NICU room while my husband will continue to go back and fourth between work, seeing my son, and being here (6 hours away). While the situation isn’t the most ideal I’m grateful for how everything has tunrned out so far.
Thank you everyone for all the wonderful congratulations along with thoughts and prayerrs

I'm so freaking impressed with Tucker, he's freaking amazing too!!! My 35 weeker was on a vent for a week, and then a CPAP for another week before a regular nasal cannula. So strong, crossing fingers you get cuddles/kangaroo care soon!

Congratulations on your liklit miracles! Sounds like you've got two little fighters on your hands! I hope you get to do kangaroo care for both before too long! When will your son be able to come meet his brothers? I know you must be missing him a lot! Big hugs!
@xxkberxx I’m so happy to hear that your babies are doing well and that you’re able to stay with them. I hope you find a supportive and loving environment in the NICU, and that you’ll be able to hold both of your amazing little ones soon!
@Car0liiine my husband and I are debating on when we should let him see them. He’s been to the hospital since their birth to see me and his dad but we haven’t taken him into the NICU room. I wore a nasal cannula during my hospital stay and he kept saying “ouch nose” to that so we aren’t sure how he would be seeing his brothers. We’ve shown him pictures though.

I forgot how old he is. Is he old enough to ask him how he feels about it and explain that the doctors and nurses are making sure his brothers are safe and healthy so they can come home?
@yosemite2018 He’s only 2 so I’m not sure he would really understand. Our little one is on a breathing system that looks pretty concerning (oscillator). Once he’s on something that looks a little better I’m sure we will bring him in.

Congrats @xxkberxx on your two little miracles! They sound like little fighters and seem to be making great progress. I wish you and your fam the best in the next couple months as I’m sure it’s very difficult to juggle a 2 year old, husband, and babies so far away. It’s only temporary and hopefully you can bring your whole family home soon! ❤️❤️
Well ladies, I can’t believe we are nearing to September! Im sure you’re starting to get anxious to meet your little ones as you inch closer to your due dates. I look forward to seeing everyone’s announcments and have enjoyed reading the 3 posted so far!
It had been quite the journey for me and my boys with ups and downs, which is expected with a NICU path. This past friday Tucker, the bigger twin, was discharged after 67 days. At birth he was 2lbs 2ounces and is now 5lbs 11.5oz and doing well!
Kaiden, the growth restricted twin, has had a harder journey but is doing well. There have been 2 different times where he got really sick and we thought he wouldnt make it but he has managed to stay true to his name and be quite the warrior. We still have about 6 weeks left before his discharge and he may come home on oxygen support. He was born at 1lb 2oz and is now 3lbs 10oz.
A week into life Kaiden had to be transferred to a level 4 NICU so they were never held together. With Tucker discharged I finally got to enjoy both boys in my arms. This long NICU journey is nearing closer to the end I’m looking forward to being all home as a family.

@xxkberxx - I've been thinking of you guys, thanks for the update!!
Sorry to hear Kaiden has had some struggles, but I'm glad to hear he's proving to be a strong little fighter!! That's wonderful Tucker is home with you now - it must have been so amazing to be able to see your boys together finally!
Sending thoughts and wishes that the remainder of Kaiden's NICU stay is uneventful and he can come home when currently planned.

It's so nice to read your update, I thought about you many times! You all look so good! I hope things continue going well and you go home soon, all the best ❤❤❤
Thank you for the update! It must have been wonderful to hold both your boys at once. Fx that Kaiden continues to improve and can go home as scheduled.
What a great update! I'm so happy for your family that Tucker has been discharged home, and that Kaiden is putting up quite the fight! Hope your NICU days are coming to an end shortly, you're all looking great!
Thank you so much for the update!!! I Remember when you were picking out Kaiden’s name, and can’t believe how well it’s suites him. He is a fighter and obviously winning! Congrats on bringing Tucker home!
