  • My uterus must be blowing up because I’m so crampy and RLP is non-stop.

  • My nausea is gone for the most part too! Unless a smell throws me off, that is. Crampy today on lower left abdominal area.
  • The exhaustion is back, I left work at lunch to work from home today because all I wanted was a nap, and desk naps are probably frowned upon.
  • @thechickendance - I miss driving to work because I used to nap in my car while pregnant. At least after the baby is born I can nap while I pump at work....

I've only fallen asleep at my desk once so far this pregnancy at least.

  • Nausea seems to be tapering off here too thank you lawd!  Having some RLP too but not a ton.  My mood goes up and down and doctor really doesn’t want me back on Prozac said she prefers Zofran if anything at all......I need to touch base with my psych but he’s on vacation sooooo yeah

Pretty sure I've started having RLP too. Not really painful (yet), but I keep getting these weird twinges on both sides of my lower abdomen. And my blump is pretty visible now too, I hope I'll manage to hide it from work for a few more weeks!

I have a feeling I'll start showing early since I'm skinny with very un-toned abs. Kinda hoping I won't.

  • @grebretso I was thin with literally 0 muscle with my first and I either looked sick or pregnant pretty early. My tummy popped out but the rest of me was still skinny, so it just looked kind of distended? Lol it was a weird time in my life. I could hide it with flowy tops (and padded bras) though, so that might be an option for you! It was all still bloat though until I was further along - I don’t think it got hard until 18-20 weeks.
  • etnyahetnyah member
@BourbonBiscuits Definitely all about the flowy tops! I'm also 0 muscle, and even when not pregnant I sometimes look pregnant after a big meal, so I figure if someone's rude enough to comment I can still say I had a big breakfast or lunch. My boss recently told a mortifying story about congratulating a woman on her pregnancy when she wasn't pregnant, so thankfully I think he'll tread extra lightly around all women for a while.

  • My nausea seems to have subsided, too! It’s of course making me nervous but I feel better seeing that I am not alone. Tired as heck and babysitting for my 3 year old niece and 5 month old nephew for the week is exacerbating the fatigue. I feel ya skinny girls with a belly @grebretso and @BourbonBiscuits I’m all about the flowy dresses and tops
  • @grebretso @BourbonBiscuits a women at work asked another women if she had the baby yet...the other woman’s son is nearly 2.  It was quite awkward lol

  • Queasy most of the afternoon. Exhaustion is starting to fade though! Hormonal. So so emotional.

  • @danixbanani24 nooooooo way. My ex boss texted me at thanksgiving to ask if I was pregnant. NOPE just had an 9 month old and a large meal thank you very much.
  • When working out, every time I jump or do anything with impact I feel like I have to pee. But when I go there’s nothing there! WTF! Pregnancy is weird. I feel deceived. Where is the glowing??
  • Nausea is easing off for me too. Are anyone else’s hands starting to swell a little bit? The past week or 2 I’ve noticed my wedding ring is really tight. I keep thinking it could just be the humidity but with DS I don’t remember that starting until at least the 3rd trimester
  • @dcaron10 - mine swell in the summer/heat. Pregnancy is not helping.

  • My hands have been swelling more, too, especially with the heat. I changed out my wedding ring for my Qalo ring (basically a stretchy silicone ring that's good for sports and such). It's so much more comfortable, and I plan to wear that until the baby arrives. Then I might put back on my gold ring/band. Maybe.
  • @kayjay44 yeah I normally swell some in the summer too but it has been worse lately. I’m just ready for summer to be over!

@hannahbananas11 I might have to try one of those rings. I’ve seen a lot of people wear them but haven’t tried one yet
  • @dcaron10 - I was not made to be pregnant in the summer. I know this is my last pregnancy and I want to enjoy it, but fuck, this sucks.

  • 4am musings... Can’t sleep!  I wake up to go pee, and then lie in bed restless for a few hours.  I finally fall asleep about an hour before the alarm and wake up exhausted. Blerg.
  • This is not a good sign if I’m already needing tums and gas-x.

Plus side: no heartburn with my 1st (she was bald until she was 18mo)
2nd- heartburn in late 2nd/ 3rd tri, born with hair and still has lots of it at 1.
3rd kid, heartburn starting in 1st tri, baby better come out with a pony tail!
  • @LuLiLaEv - I have severe HB already (I threw up last night because of it) and I already know this kid will come out bald like the others  :D

  • @hannahbananas11 @dcaron10 my husband and I got qalo rings when we got married and wear them every day. I found our real rings just got caught on everything which was annoying. These are so much more lightweight and comfortable. I stack two thin bands
  • Another fucking migraine last night.

Unfortunately no - it’s the last day of the month so it’s crazy at work and better to be here. I just need to get out of first tri so I can take my meds again!

  • Acne went away for about two weeks and came back full force. I look like hell.
  • I feel you on the acne, though had acne before, but its definitely not any better...and nothing "natural" or anything helps. What was dry before is now oily, and what was oily before is now a flaky mess...
  • Acne has made a comeback over here too. My skin totally cleared up when I was pregnant with DS, which I attribute partially to hormones, partially to being off BC, and partially to switching over to all natural products. It stayed pretty clear after he was born, but now all hell has broken loose. Gonna try to get back to my all natural routine and see what works.

  • @kayjay44 migraines are a bitch. Did you see if your OB can prescribe something else?
  • My heartburn really kicked in for real last night, at 12 weeks. It was the most significant awful feature of my pregnancy with my son, and I am dreading it!
  • @conchispita - Only one med works for me and it's not studied enough to know if it's safe so I hold off taking it in first tri altogether (and take it sparingly the rest of pregnancy). Another reason I'm sure this is a girl is my body doesn't handle excess estrogen well at all (which is why my BC has to be progesterone only)....

I think I just felt the baby move for the first time so things are starting to get to the good part!

  • I got to figure out the feelings of movement at like 13/14 weeks last time. Theres a sound that came with the movement on Doppler, MW mentioned it. I remember it not being what I expected and saying “THATS WHAT THAT IS?!” I’ve all but forgotten what those first ones feel like though.
  • First pregnancy, I felt movement at 14 weeks, second at 13. I had an anterior placenta both of those times, so I don't think 11 weeks is unheard of with a posterior placenta for a third pregnancy. It could have been gas, but I'm going to go with movement because it's much cuter and more endearing than gas.... It also felt more like a flutter than a bubble and is where TH likes to hang out based on where I'm finding the HB.

  • I’ve lost 25 pounds since finding out I was pregnant and I do not have 25 pounds to loose. I just want to have my appetite back and to stop puking. It’s torture to eat
  • I definitely felt movement late in week 11. It’s such an unmistakeable feeling once you know what to look for. This one is sassier than DS though - it’s definitely not gas but it’s that popping feeling of a kick or punch.

@lifeislove87 - I feel you. The puking due to nausea is starting to stop finally, but I’m starting to puke due to heartburn already. I’ve lost 15 so far but I totally had 15 I could lose. I’m dreading how bad the heartburn is going to get if it’s already this bad because I start to have issues losing weight when I should be gaining. Sounds like a good problem to have, but is not.

@BourbonBiscuits - DD broke one of my ribs with a kick in utero. She’s the sassiest. Watch out  :D
